Ms Laura got him beat and then some!!! First of all, my hubby gifted me a massage but I upgraded to a deep tissue with face hydration therapy-Best decision! I told her I had hip, IT band, lower back and left shoulder issues- yes Army vet and mom to a toddler so I'm pretty banged up lol! You can tell she read my body to offer the most thoughtful session I've been afforded! She used several techniques such as stretches (ladies may want to shave their lady parts for that one-ha!), cupping, and deep tissue massaging to remove knots and release what felt like years of tension! I have been going to PT 2x/week but I felt even more of a shift after our session! The facial hydration was good. Nice and cool to offer contrast to the warm blankets but followed up with a warm towel. Pleasant experience and didn't mind having my wig pushed back at all lol Do yourself a favor and just do it!!! -just not on the days I'm going back lol jk

When I was younger, my jobs were extremely stressful and physical, causing plenty of injuries. I had major spine surgery last year. Since then, I've done six months of physical therapy without much improvement. A few weeks ago, I gave up on the PT when my wife referred me to Kathye Hopwood. She is very impressive! I need deep-tissue work. Kathye is not a big person, but have no fear, if you need deep tissue work, she will give you exactly that! I know Kathye does many other types of massage, but I haven't tried them. If I wanted to, I know where I'd go first! ;-) Her studio is perfect. She has decorated it beautifully with things that obviously mean something to her. It's quiet and she makes sure that you're comfortable before she starts. Today was my third or fourth visit and she even remembered that I needed extra blankets for cold, (and painfully crampy), feet! Yes, it's a small thing, but isn't that the point?? As I said above, I've had a LOT of massage! The first time I went to Kathye, I told her that it had been the absolute best massage I had ever experienced. Today?? DITTO!! After shoulder surgery and completing physical therapy, I still had lingering discomfort. Jose quickly identified the areas needing attention. I began with deep tissue massages twice a week, gradually moving to weekly sessions as my pain subsided. The pain is gone but I am continuing with monthly deep tissuemassages for overall wellbeing. Of note: I appreciated Jose taking time following each massage to pinpoint areas of treatment on an anatomical chart and answering all of my questions. In the welcoming area after the massage I was offered cold water or hot tea. My favorite was hibiscus tea with honey served in a dainty cup and saucer--a little zen time before stepping out into the 'real' world! Morning Dew is a stellar experience from start to finish. I almost felt like I was being guided through some yoga floor exercises at times. The room I was in was cobbled together out of curtains, and was bright through the opaque window shades. It was very private, but not as dim as I'm used to. The massage bed was heated which is a really nice touch!
