He has a lot of great reviews (which is why we chose him and the Mayes office) and he lived up to every single one of those reviews and then some. He was thorough, kind, patient, and had a very calming demeanor. He clearly cares about his patients and has a very positive and reassuring outlook. He also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience; presented in laymen's terms that makes it easy to understand. He took his time to go through the history of our daughter, asking me questions, her questions, etc. Again this being our first time navigating our way through this journey; just knowing that this doctor and this staff are with us every step of the way has been a life saving anchor in what feels like very stormy seas. I was more curious to see if it was actually five star worthy for a psychiatric place. I've had a few psychiatrists since 2020, I've even been dropped by one, and I don't think I'm the easiest of patients. I have a few disorders and I've tried many medications, but no matter what, most psychiatrists I encounter do not take the time to listen to you. The appointments are usually 30min max, but here I've been thoroughly spoken to and tested so the appointments have been longer. I don't mind the appointment length or anything because I know I'm getting actual care. I don't feel like medication is being thrown at me willy-nilly here. The place itself is very clean, organized, nicely decorated, etc you don't feel like you're seeing a psychiatrist. I don't think I saw medication posters everywhere or anywhere and I kind of like that. Overall, I have no complaints or concerns about the staff, doctors, or anything else. This has been a very pleasant and positive experience.
