I trust her wholeheartedly with my newborns as she swaddles them and puts them in various positions. The 1 year cake smash session was so fun and Ann made everything so easy. She accommodated my color requests and decorated beautifully. I'm looking forward to the next cake smash session and I'm hoping to get Christmas pictures sometime in the next couple of years, too. The sessions are expensive but generally on par with photographers in the area. I don't mind paying for quality, though, and Ann is truly wonderful.

My friend referred me to Ann Lyle and I am SOOO GLAD SHE DID. Despite being so close to Christmas, I contacted her anyway just to see and once she told me she had availability, I took it! She has a quick response time and pictures may take up to two weeks. She was able to get it to us sooner. The experience was awesome. She has a new studio in Framingham. There is plenty of parking spaces. The suite is on the L floor. The studio is so pretty! There are so many lovely props and backgrounds and it is so comfortable to not have to worry about anything. Ann is super down to earth and very relatable. From my experience of having many professional photographers from my engagement to wedding to family and to another newborn, Ann is the best! Her photos are so amazing and she made my newborn look like a beautiful princess. You will not regret it! I was in grad school studying to be an opera singer, and desperately needed professional headshots for my upcoming audition season. She does a great job with the photographs but also making clients feel comfortable knowing that it is not a natural thing for those of us who are generally uncomfortable with our picture being taken. Her rates are VERY reasonable. She does a combination of oufits/jewelry, hair in front/to the side, indoors/outdoors. I haven't received the finished product yet but even the proofs came out nice! Tips I learned from getting my photograph taken: yes to getting my hair done and makeup professionally done. If you have long hair, wear some photos of your hair framing your face and keep it simple with the clothing - solid color and textures don't always translate. Also, keep jackets buttoned up as they can gape in an unflattering manner if you are a female with a chest. These tips have nothing to do with Maura's skill at taking photographs (she is, indeed, very skilled) but more to do with you doing your part to ensure a good end result. She is renowned for her editing abilities so I can't wait to get the final photographs but the unedited ones were really good and I am as unphotogenic as they come. If I ever need to take a professional photograph in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to contact Maura. She was very pleasant to work with and talented at her craft. Her rates were very reasonable ($225 for over an hr photo shoot and 5 edited photogpraphs)!
