Amanda was going to pay for the roof out of pocket but I explained that he insurance would likely pay for it minus her deductible which I ate so she would have nothing out of pocket. I also removed 2 extra layers of shingles at no extra charge and desposed of. While supervising the sub contractor that no longer works for me I installed a exterior door on the basement that had been kicked in at no charge. I received a call about flashing and promptly showed up and replaced it at no cost. I tried very hard to do the best job at the best price and give a written warranty with all work performed. I am surprised at the review and do not take this lightly. I did everything I could do, but sometimes you just can't make everyone happy.

He said it would be done in 3 days beginning the Monday of Thanksgiving week and completed by that Wednesday. Every day he said that he would be at our house by between 7 am and 7:30. He never showed up before 8:30. Monday and Tuesday they were gone by 3 and 3:30. After multiple excuses, the job was not completed by Wednesday. This ruined our ability to have a Thanksgiving dinner for our family. They did return on Friday and did more work but in the process spilled a gallon bucket of paint on our carpet. He tried to clean it up and initially not tell us about it but had no choice but to. No drop clothes or any coverings were used to protect any of our flooring so now the carpet in our upstairs hallway and on our stairs is completely ruined. I should not have allowed them to come back after this but my wife convinced me to at least allowed them to come back and finish the job. They returned on Saturday and were supposed to finish the ceilings in the foyer and upstairs hallway (which should have been done FIRST!) and a second coat on the foyer walls. The walls and trim were done mostly by his wife, while Stan either disappeared, piddled around, or was on the phone. Without a word to us, they packed up and left. THE CEILINGS STILL NOT FINISHED!!! I called him and he said he was too tired and I could just pay him what I thought I owed him but he was done with it. When I said that the job was not done and I wasn't paying him anything until it was. At that point, he said that I didn't owe him anything else and hung up on me! I bought all of the paint and materials for the job and even went and bought more paint when they messed up the bedroom ceilings and had to start over in them! He was also paid HALF of his fee on that Wednesday with the promise that the job would be completed, but that is proven to be a lie. At one point on Friday, he even tried to claim that would he originally quoted us "couldn't be right" and acted like he wanted more than the agreed upon price, but I had the paper that HE wrote the amounts on that was in HIS OWN HANDWRITING!!! He couldn't argue with that. This man is worse than a shady used car salesman! He will repeatedly make promises he can't and has no intention of keeping. He has absolutely no respect for people's homes or property. Because of Stan, we will now have to not only find someone else to finish the ceilings and try to fix all of the flaws we have found, but replace the carpet in our upstairs hallway and stairwell. Please do yourself a favor and contact a real professional.

We ended up with a project manager who is clearly inexperienced and, in my opinion, misguided in this business as the role of project manager . I would gently describe him as lacking competence in his role. I was misled multiple times regarding repair estimates, changes to the original quotes, and the actual arrival times of the crew. Essentially, there were no calls and no shows for scheduled services. Now, two months into this process with an insurance-approved bid, all I have to show for it is a bathroom with exposed studs, which reveal my attic and roof due to the removal of shower tiles and goo God only knows what else- which most was done during their first visit two months ago. Additionally, during the demolition second phase, no protective measures were taken as promised in the estimate. Sheetrock and tile debris fell into the basement where my vehicle is parked. All doors were left wide open, allowing dust from the Sheetrock and tile removal to cover my entire bedroom and hallway. The workers even had to use Google Translate to ask for a broom and cleaning supplies. In the midst of their so-called "cleaning," I discovered my neatly made bed being used as a resting place for a plunger and a broken shower glass door. I strongly caution against hiring this company--save yourself the months of issues with your home that began with this experience!

We ended up purchasing window shades for the remaining five rooms in our house, and they are so great! Amy is a pleasure to work with - responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful.
