In short the work crew broke an exterior glass door pane to a sliding glass door. Accidents happen, poor communication and lack of follow up shouldn't. Home Genius blamed the sub and vice versa. Eventually the glass was replaced by the sub contractors father (yes seriously). After replacement it was foggy and dirty inside. After six calls to customer care we received a call back from Raleigh manager who of course blamed the sub and "would look into it". We got into contact via text only with our job lead as he has no voice mail. It was determined new glass would be placed back in upon our return from vacation out of state. To our surprise our home camera systems picks up somebody going into our backyard with a ladder and presumably working on the glass with no appointment, no permission and no contact with home genius. A text to the job lead to confirm was left unanswered. Likewise when the Raleigh office manager was asked for information regarding an appeal process, he asked if we would drop our 2 star google review first instead of simply meeting our request and providing info for am appeal. He still has not responded with info requested or followed up in any manner to see if our damaged property was replaced etc. The second glass replaced while we were not home but an unknown party is worse then the first replacement glass job and here we sit with zero assistance or communication from Home Genius. Customer Care reps have all been nice and courteous all 7 times we have called them. Just don't take the risk with other options available.

TLDR; This company put a roof on my house that didn't last even 1/4 of the promised time; when I reached out to negotiate reimbursement (because a new roof is needed), I was blocked by the owner, with no response. If you need any kind of roof work done on your home, or you want to be treated with any kind of respect, then absolutely DO NOT go to Brandon's Home Repairs. When he put a new roof on my mom's house (while he worked under a different company name), he assured her it would last about 4x as long as it actually has. We have to put a new roof on, which is expensive, so I reached out to the owner, to explain the situation and see if we could get compensation. Of course nobody expects their first request to just be paid, and I was fully open to negotiation, but it didn't seem to right to post a review without even giving him the chance to make it right. However, after being ignored, and now very obviously blocked, without any kind of response, I'm more upset than if he had just said no, or been unable to reach an agreement. When I looked up his previous business, I found that I'm not the only one this happened to, either. I guess if you're looking for a short term fix, then this business might be fine. But for any kind of honesty, or long-term work, I'd look elsewhere.

They arrived at the expected time, no delays. Carolyn, the owner, came to my house and walked me through the options. It was wonderful that all of my dealings were with one person. We had Brad visit for a quote to replace shades. It would require some electrical work. They gave me a quote. There was some confusion about who was in charge of getting electrical work done. I thought this company was managing the vendor they recommended. They thought I was handling it even though I only had a general idea what needed to be done. Well 3 months later they called me to ask if I wanted to do the work. I said I would think about it. I would have preferred that they call me a few weeks later to see what I wanted to do. We'll probably work with an authorized dealer instead.
