Thesis Brewing is a brewery I always make sure to take a look at whenever I'm at a beer festival. So when in Rochester I had to stop by. They are on a 5 barrel system from Portland Kettle Works which allows for both experimentation and some staple beers. Beertender choice in my flight was the Hugs & Kisses Fruited Wheat Ale - which I won't complain about. Thesis Pieces: A Blonde Ale brewed with Peanut Butter and has an addition of Lactose. Light bodied, which you don't see for a peanut beer very often. Doughy malt and a nutty flavor go hand in hand balanced by a sweetness from the lactose. A PB beer you can drink even in the hottest weather! Toasty-Weizen A German Hefeweizen conditioned on freshly toasted coconut. Similar to my other choices, light bodied packed with flavor. Traditional banana and clove Hefeweizen flavors are balanced by a medium toasted coconut flavor that doesn't take over the Hefe aromas / flavors.  Bangers Only: A Cold IPA dry hopped with Rakau, Vic Secret, and Wakatu hops. A lighter bodied IPA and brilliantly clear. Medium-high bitterness with a melon / lemon zest flavor on finish. Hugs and Kisses: A Fruited Wheat Ale that the beertender chose as my fourth beer in my flight. Notes of guava, tangerine, and blood orange. Stopped in yesterday for the first time. I opted for a flight. As i built a flight I appreciated that the beertender let me sample the Lunchbox & Skol. Inside was an average brewery space, nothing special. Plenty of tables. Outdoor seating wasn't great. Table and chairs set up along the sidewalk overlooking the parking lot. The Beer was fantastic! I had a hazy IPA and a Berliner. I was impressed with the variety of brews they had on tap. read more

It's rare that a brewery can do something for everyone...here they have done so and done so well. From light beers to dark, fruity beers to sour beers, bitter to ipa...heck they even make seltzer and slushy versions of some of their offerings. A small stage rounds out the establishment along with interesting wall hangings to make this a place worth revisiting. read more

Small brewery with great beer in a range of styles. We visited in early fall on a day perfect to hang out in the outdoor patio area. We tried a Berliner Weiss and an IPA while there and purchased three additional beers in crowlers. We would have stayed for a longer visit but opted for carry out since there were no food options on the Saturday visit. I wish they had a better website with updated info on food options (or when that isn't available) to better help plan for a visit. I'm unsure how they will adapt in coming months and cooler outdoor temps as the only seating available was outdoor (assuming that is temporary as they have space inside, just not using it when we visited). read more

Nice venue with garage door opening into a small patio. Nice outside/inside feel.Another patio with lawn games in the back of the building. Nice seating area inside the building with a stage. Looks like live music twice weekly. There is a nice selection of tasty home brews. The Food options are very limited. I'm not sure if they have food truck options, but they should. read more

First time visiting this place. The staff is extremely nice and very accommodating. Clean space and plenty of games to play. Couple that with the vast assortment of awesome beers and cozy environment. This place is a 5 star must visit brewery. read more

This place is sweet! Just recently opened and we've already been here a couple times(this week..;) ) not a ton as far as fruitier beers, but that might change. Wish people didn't smoke outside, but I can't control that. Enjoy being able to bring the dogs and the water bowls they provide! read more

Friday night, place is packed with all ages, which I like to see. I had a "Still N.F.A." and a "Table Beer". Wonky uninspired names and neither was very good. The N.F.A. was billed as an IPA & was slightly hoppy but had too many conflicting flavors. The Table Beer (awful name) Farmhouse Ale was, sorry guys/gals, just a notch above Coors. Really tasteless. Nice place with parking in back, but it's all about the beer, right? Food is from food trucks in back. read more

Great little brewery with a fun vibe and awesome beer, all with reasonable ABV. Enjoyed the Nitro Vanilla Porter and the Rye IPA. Go there!
