June finally got the kit i ordered. He dropped it at my door. No refund on the express shipping

In August of 2023, Jeremy Ordered a Sewing machine in the amount of $14400.00. He conned me into purchasing it with a credit card and never Delivered it to me. He actually charged my credit card $15400.00 a $1,000.00 over the agreed amount. To date he hasn't paid me my money back. Don't give him your personal information or order from him. Oh my - the fabric selection is fantastic. The sales people are wonderful and helpful. The fabrics are displayed well. I even bought some fabric from the emailed ads I got during the COVID closure, with great success. I've been to the store at least 6 times now, even though I live over 200 miles away. I understand the store has recently moved close by. I hope it's still the same great store! read more

I have frequented this store many times over the past years. Recently, (well-six weeks ago) I ordered and paid for his special promotion Riley and Blake solids. I spent just shy of four hundred dollars. During the last six weeks I have heard every excuse in the book, including I didn't have your address, to it went out two weeks ago! I have had to initiate all contact. Now I'm flat out angry-before I was disappointed. I requested a refund and crickets! Not sure how you can treat your customers like this and still stay in business ? read more

Jeremy has lied to me on 3 separate occasions regarding a $579 refund for a cancelled class. Each time he has said the refund had been initiated. I have yet to receive that refund. Very shady business practice. read more

I have never given a one star review ever, until today. And with good reason. I've had two experiences with thimble Towne and both were negative- hence the one star. Brought my serger machine into their store just for a service. I was told 7-10 days turnaround. I called after 10 days (today) and was told the machine was still in the store bc their service tech had been out all week. I use my machines for business so time off of them is money lost! They could have called me with an update but they didn't. I had to call them. This was the case both times. It's always good business practice to have exercise good communication skills. When i picked up my machine today, not even so much as an apology. I won't be back. read more

Thimble Town is one of the best quilt shops I've ever visited and I've visited many shops! Their store is located in an industrial warehouse and when arriving you think there can't possibly be a quilt store back here. Then, you are pleasantly surprised when you walk in the door. The place is AMAZING!! Tons of fabric, spacious machine showroom, two classrooms and wonderfully knowledgeable staff to help you with all your needs. You can tell a lot of thought went into this store; details galore! I recently visited this shop on a shop hop and hope to return every time we travel down south. Plus, looking at taking a class soon. It's a bit of a drive for me but always looking for a quality quilting shop and then one is well worth it! read more

This place is huge! Great selection of fabric, thread, notions, and patterns. There are two classrooms, in addition to the fabric sales floor and a machine showroom, to accommodate their many quilting classes and machine tutorial classes. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and even included a freebie pincushion project with my purchase. The location is off the beaten path a bit, but definitely worth the trip. Bright signage made it easy to find. I'll definitely be coming back soon (to my boyfriend's lament)! read more

Thimble Towne deserves 20 stars! It's THE BEST quilt stores I've had the pleasure to shop at. Greg and Jeremy and their staff at both stores are the pinnacle of Service. The Bakersfield store is spacious. Featuring a large selection of Machines to drool over, then you venture further into the shop and you find yourself in a quilting wonderland. The lay out is playful yet elegant. The hanging quilts inspire, the fabric selection is superior in quality and selection. When we visited the store and saw they had a quilt hanging that we have been searching for in quilt stores and the web to try to find the pattern, Paradise in Blooms by Judy Niemeyer, and inquired about them having a class for this pattern. Greg informed me they have a certified instructor and a retreat that would coming up in September. They searched the stores to try to locate the pattern to see if it was in stock. While they were searching, another staff member greeted me and told me to take a look in the large class room - they were showing off the quilt tops that students had made - all Judy Niemeyer quilts - OMG they were all amazing! Then back at the cut table selecting fabrics for a quilt - the certified instructor came by to introduce herself and invite us to the 4 day retreat, and that it would be a perfect time to take on the Paradise in 'Bloom quilt. Thimble Towne has a Fun, Friendly, Welcoming and Knowledgeable staff... they take the time with their clients, even when its crazy busy. We had no fewer than 4 staff members with us, customers stopping by the cut table to give their opinion on color choices, and Greg took time to help with fabric colors, and Jeremy was a huge help with determining the amount of each fabric for the quilt we are planning. Never before have I had this level of service. I can go on for days about this store. I will tell this - I live in Sacramento and travel to Bakersfield just to shop at a premier quilt shop - why you ask? - because its worth the time and the trip is always a wonderful experience. I can't wait to attend the retreat. PS - Greg & Jeremy - we need a franchise up in Sacramento! read more

Interesting location but great store. The staff was super friendly and let me know about upcoming classes. Sounds like they have a fun summer series of classes available for one price. I didn't buy anything but I'm sure I'll be feeding my fabric addiction soon . read more
