    Amethyst pieces

I have never been here but wanted to try some new crystal shops. This location is very close to Haight Street (just one block down) but parking is easier here. This is one of the best crystal shops I've ever been to. The quality and prices are amazing. Lots of variety. Raw and polished, different shapes. Very nice staff!!! And a good little selection of discounted items! I'll be back here again and again! It's kind of set up like love of Ganesha but I'd say it's a lot easier to shop there and they have more spheres and statement pieces. They also have other items besides crystals.

Lovely shop! Every time I visit SF I try my best to stop by, staff is very helpful and kind . You'll always find something you love and forever cherish .

This Clear Quartz Tower Is HUGE!! only $56 for such a statement piece.

It was quite quiet and a little awkward, but this place was definitely a hit! Unlike most crystal stores, this one is so unknown. It was huge statement pieces like big chunks of amethyst clusters, tons of points, and HUGE raw rose quartz. This isn't a place to search for small crystals, even though there are some, however this place is great if you're looking for unique and big crystals. Good quality, and greater prices. This tower could have been over 70!! There's even a clearance section for big chunks of crystals for 50% off.

Baskets overflowing with beautiful crystals and stones!

This store is a treasure trove of all kinds of exciting things - baskets overflowing with crystals and gemstones, a whole wall covered in strands of beads, tables filled up with jewelry and musical instruments and little statues. I came in today and got a lovely sarong for $7.99- good price! And it is very soft and brightly colored. John, who works there, is extremely cheerful, helpful and kind. So nice to talk to! Plus he gave me a good deal today as I was purchasing a bunch of raw crystals. I much prefer this hidden gem to the overpriced shops one block away on Haight. Things Lucky has an amazing variety of items. It is so much fun to walk through the store and explore all the corners of the shop - you never know what treasure you'll find!

I've been having dreams of dragons and today I decided to check out Haight-Ashbury neighborhood looking for something dragon. I found this wooden dragon at this store and they had a lot of different crystals, geodes and gemstones.

This is one of my favorite store!! So many things in this place and you can spend a whole day inside!! I mean it!! They have wood, stone and brass statue from India, Indonesia, China and Africa; belly dance dresses, traditional Chinese and Japanese Silk pajamas and yoga pants; crystals, crystals, crystals from Madagascar, China, Russia and all over the world!! They are one block down the haight street at the corner so they have a very competitive price. I bought a lot of stuffs from them especially different kinds of crystal and rocks. You can't miss this fantastic store!!

Things Lucky is a cute little shop a block away from the hustle of Haight Street. It reminds me of a Chinatown chotchkies shop; the pan-Asian inventory features items from (or representing) Thailand, India, China and Japan. The shop is packed with inexpensive jewelry, toys, kites, purses, incense, crystals, keepsake boxes, home decor and wall art. I found some brightly colored belly dancing bras for only $14, which is insanely good if you've ever priced out dancing gear. The shop lady was super friendly and offered us something warm to drink. She had a side table near the counter with little snacks, coffee and assorted teas, which was VERY welcome on such a cold windy day. Check it out if you're in the Haight Ashbury area!

LOVE this place. Chock-full of Indonesian goodies from bead findings to wood masks to crystals and cheap earrings, charming little sculptures and belly dance outfits, you name it. I came in here with my teenage niece and we had a blast. Thip, who helped us, was so very sweet and gave us a great deal........I walked out of there with about 30 pairs of earrings, five rings, four hangings, and a cool chest of drawers for $122. Plus, it was just great fun being in there! Super great place to do Christmas shopping for loved ones of all ages.

But it does get super busy, and hard to find a seat. There's no high chair for babies. Understandably so, but it is hard for mothers, be aware. The hojicha comes in a traditional (restaurant style) mug, burning hot, but satisfying. The matcha service comes with small wagashi (Japanese dessert). The noodle udon was hopeless. The view to the water and garden is spectacular. Not dampened by the constant crowd rushing through the gate. There are still quite a few photo genetic spots and features: the beautiful tall bridge (oil painting like), bronze buddha, the architecture of the gift shop (bathroom close by), and the pogoda, and the chubby koi fish. But water is poorly maintained, had weird bubbles and looking stagnant. Leaves are not swept up / cleaned - being messy is not being zen. Overall, I can totally see why it is popular, but it is nothing like what it used to be. Book ahead, book online, residents of SF need to show up early to claim the free tickets. It gets "sold out" (rolling my eyes). Recommend coming here on a weekday, not on weekends, unless you are from out of town. Recommend book ahead of time. Recommend packing light. It is impossible to park here for free. It takes skills and can raise conflicts. Paid parking is super expensive. Worth a visit on a not-so-busy day. Because of the popularity of the garden, hourly tickets (even free residents' ones) get sold out, requires buying the next hour, and lining up. It's very hard to line up as someone who needs accessibility. For example, if a person has a stroller, with a little baby, there's very little empathy from staff, they will separate your family by asking another person in the group to line up (beyond steps), while the stroller person waits on the platform. I would say at least one of the staff is not courteous at all. He was rude and demanding, and not empathetic of visitors who travel with family, from afar, or needing accessibility help. The line was poorly managed.

These cars are a collection of preserved vehicles from the '30s to '50s. Each one was given from a city in the US. The street cars became a hit with locals and tourists and are now a part of historic transit systems in San Francisco. The museum is small but detailed. It is open limited hours and run by a team of volunteers. They are passionate about these street cars and it shows. I'm now a STEAM instructor myself, and I still feel the same sense of wonder every time I walk through the doors. The Exploratorium understands something incredibly important: science isn't just a collection of facts to memorize. It's something to touch, hear, build, question, experiment with, and experience. What I admire most is the institution's mission to make science tangible, accessible, and genuinely fun. The exhibits invite curiosity instead of demanding expertise, which makes them just as engaging for adults as they are for children. Every visit reminds me that science belongs to everyone. As someone who teaches kids for a living, I know how difficult it is to create experiences that are both educational and exciting. The Exploratorium has been doing exactly that for decades, and they continue to set the standard. Their educators, exhibit designers, and staff have created something truly special. San Francisco is full of iconic landmarks, but for me, the Exploratorium will always be one of the city's greatest treasures. It played a role in shaping the person I became, and I have no doubt it will continue inspiring generations of curious minds.
