"We stopped at this wine shop on Washington called Wine Knows....oh, I just got that!!" Yes, I…read moreuttered these words to my sister and totally laughed my ass off! What a moron I am! We were killing some time before my nephew's birthday party and I wanted to check this place out after reading their excellent Yelp reviews. They are tucked away in a secret strip mall and you wouldn't even notice them there because all the signage on the building is identical and it's set back from the main road a bit. The place is well organized by type of wine and the racks allow for nice storage of their stock. We walked in while the owners or staff were having their lunch and we didn't want to interrupt with a lot of questions so we probably didn't have the full experience we could have had should they have not been busy. We both explored the store...me, the wine and the hubby found their beer selection. I chose a very nice German bottle of pinot grigio for my girlfriend whom always allows me to drink her wine when I'm visiting and a bottle of wine to take home and add to my collection which by the way, I need to start drinking before my husband kills me by drowning me with cabernet! This is not to say they are overpriced, but we spent a little more than we probably should have on a few bottles of wine. Its a good thing they are located so far from home, otherwise, I might be a regular!

So, I happened upon a wine tasting fundraiser happening at Wine Knows on a Saturday night and…read moredecided *shrug* why not? First thing I realized was that I actually drive past this place every day and didn't really pay attention. But my navigation got me successfully to the door. Stepping through the door is a bit overwhelming for a wine novice like me. Literally, my only wine-based verbiage was Moscato D'Asti... Blessedly for me, there was a list of wines for the testing, both reds, and whites. And the owner and (I believe) his wife was serving the guests. When I let her know that I had no clue what I was doing, she suggested that I go down the list. I explained to her my immature taste buds and she described each wine as she poured a taste-sized portion in my glass. (By the way, I forgot all of the names but that isn't her fault.) Between tastings, we were treated to snacks and browsed the extensive selection of wine to avoid getting too loopy. There was a wide array of wines from regions worldwide and craft beers galore. I wonder if there is such thing as a craft beer tasting? However, the store is a hidden gem. I can't wait to get back and try another wine.

This issue has nothing to do with any store or person. This is a mobile app issue. I emailed the…read morefollowing to Binney's Beverage Depot customer support: Dear Tech(s): In the current economic climate (resulting from the COVID inflation), everyone is stressed to their limits and watching their pennies. This being the case, your shopping experience could be much better--and I know that you can do it because the Peapod company was able to do it. First--for all applicable wet and dry products, please add a line of code for "price per ounce"--not quart, package, etc. (for company input and consumer readout). This gives all products a level playing field so that consumers can know "cost per value" as they make their choices. For those on a budget--which is just about everyone these days--they need to make sure that they get the best product that their budget allows. Second, you need to work on your Search coding. Primarily, add a "price per ounce" search option with "low/high" options. Secondarily, you need to tighten up your search fields and expand the choices. I tried a search on "sugar free mixers" and had to scroll through flavored vodkas, regular mixers containing sugar, etc. EXAMPLE: a search option that will only produce "sugar free" results would be awesome for up to 60% if your customers. (Women 50% generally want lower calorie drinks; plus at least 10-15% of the US population is diabetic or pre-diabetic.) Regarding the 10-15% diabetics, they can imbibe CAREFULLY: They need to count the carbohydrates of each food/drink they ingest. "Pure Alcohol" is a "fat" which doesn't negatively impact a diabetic unless overdone. Therefore, it's very important to include any "nutrition information panel" on every product. As a consumer, I want to be able to input what I want, get on-point results, and be able to sort them based on "price per ounce" (just like the tags on the store shelves). Honestly, since the Peapod company was able to do this with their mobile app, I see no reason that you can't implement the same professionalism in your app. I sincerely hope that you can take your app from the dark ages into the 21st century. Thank you for your time in considering my feedback. Sincerely, Pat K I hope that this email to tech support will result in a more user-friendly coding.

I've gone in here four or five times because I think it's important to support local business, but these guys are just asking to get bent. Don't expect anything other than massively jacked up prices, terrible attitudes, and shady sales tactics. The last straw was the other day; I witnessed a man get ignored at the counter when trying to buy a 6 pack for several minutes while the older gentleman behind the counter was talking on the phone and yelling at the person on the other end. When the conversation on the phone ended, he immediately gave the waiting customer attitude for only buying one 6 pack and exclaimed they don't make enough money on that beer and that the customer can only buy it with another 6 pack. **Edit 12/29: Today, I received a message from "James A" who claims to be the son of the owner of this shop who called me "butthurt" and rattled off a list of contradicting insults and attempts to put me down. I gave this store several good chances and concluded they are very rude (as have others). The added harassment, delivered to my Yelp Inbox, is just more proof that these folks don't know how to run a business, don't know how to handle criticism, and would rather assume the large number of irritated clients is the problem and not the proprietors.**
