Enjoying our first visit to Thirsty's. Loving the gumbo, homemade pickles, great beer selection and great service.

I enjoyed my first time at Thirsty's so much I had to review. It was Saturday at 6pm and no waiting. The gumbo my neighbor raved about was fantastic. The bourbon grilled chicken po'boy and fries also good. The bread was perfectly crunchy and let the chicken speak for itself. Loved the beer selection. Everyone in my group found something they liked. HAPPY HOUR 3-8! Much more I want to try on this menu. Decor is Mardi Gras theme, nothing fancy. Good acoustics for music and conversation, something missing from many restaurants. I hope this place makes it. Y'all come!

Ordered a Beyond Beef burger and got this pea/carrot patty

They have the beyond meat burger and it is so good! The banana foster bread pudding is seriously to die for. The crawfish queso is also delicious. They have great mixed drinks and good prices on beer. Also love that they have board/card games. Love this new LGBTQ-welcoming spot! Missing one star because our orders have been messed up a couple times that we have gone. But everything always tastes delicious and they are quick and patient to change and accommodate any requests *Update* after coming here multiple times and something being amiss with my order I won't be coming back. Today my Beyond Beef burger was not that it all. It was a hopefully vegan patty but just made from peas and carrots.

We found a Groupon to here and were excited to try the Cajun food. We came with the kids but this is more of a bar and not really a good atmosphere for kids. It appeared to be a gay bar but we don't know that it is always that way. There was a pride fest nearby on the same day we went. When we got there, we sat at a table ourselves and only got served when the owner's mom stepped up and helped us. We ordered soda and lemonade for the kids. The soda cups for the adults were the smallest I have ever seen and the lemonade tasted more like sweet and sour mix. We put in order for the food and then waited almost an hour for it even though the restaurant was not packed. The gator bites had too much batter and not enough meat and it was $11 for at most 8 pieces. Also, there was an up charge for this for Happy Hour. Who up charges for Happy Hour!!! The kids enjoyed the non-spicy Mac and cheese. I thought the crab cake platter was good. We didn't enjoy the Cajun pasta and the cost to add chicken and shrimp was too much for what you got. The shrimp were baby shrimp and you only got a little. The service was friendly but just slow.

We pass by here all the time and finally decided to give it a try one night. From what I understand, this is a new restaurant in the area! The decorations and details were so fun and it looked like the menus were very intricately made by hand. The waiter was super friendly and thanked us for coming in and invited us to stop back by. The options here are very different from other places I've been to (my boyfriend ordered ALLIGATOR) and they had vegetarian options for me! Super cute and whoever owns this place pays great attention to detail because the small touches were fun and very well done!

Tried the take out on steak Thursday. The steak was cooked as ordered, "medium rare on the rare…read moreside" well seasoned and tender. The included baked potato was also prepared well. Jamie is always friendly and professional. Other encounters with other staff have been amicable. It's a tavern. It is all inclusive. The food is good with reasonably prices. Dogs are allowed and fawned upon. The music is not overwhelming but I have never been there during the evening.

There are 3 machines in the back where there had been a guy playing on the machine, but he had gotten up and was no where near the machines at this time. We ordered a drink and my wife went over to see what the machines were, what games they had and if they required cash. The "man" in question walks up and asks her "what the fuck are you doing?" She calmly tried to explain that she wanted to see what the machines were and how to play. He continued cursing at her "you can't fucking touch people's machines" "this is gambling". "I've got $350 fucking dollars on this machine" She tried to explain she was sorry and didn't know and he continued to speak to her disrespectfully and cursing at her. She walked away and asked for our tab. I got up walked over and asked him "is that how you speak to people?" He starts trying to explain himself and I reiterated that he could have said things very differently and she didn't know and that's unacceptable. He tells me to talk to the bartender. The bartender comes over and as we are explaining what happened, she says "you probably shouldn't be pushing buttons". There were no questions asked and not one word was said to the douchebag on the machine. We don't live in a state that has gambling. We didn't know he had money on the machine and we certainly weren't trying to spend his money. Ask questions, explain yourself but you don't speak to my wife that way and you will not curse at her and think it's acceptable. We were offered to go cups to take our drinks with us as we left. We were so pissed and upset, we left our full drinks on the bar and left. I can promise you this, we will not ever return here and we will make sure everyone we know is aware of how this establishment treats people who aren't regulars. It's supposed to be a safe environment for all. We didn't feel safe and we didn't feel supported. Shame on you Mr Douchebag and shame on you MJs tavern.

We had several servers which was nice because we didn't have to ask for anything. Took a little longer to get food than normal but it was crowded. Whether it's with friends or just the two of us, we've never been disappointed. Let's see how this visit went. We were immediately seated once we walked inside. It wasn't completely packed for a Saturday afternoon but staff was really busy with customers. The vibe was one that made us comfortable for the most part. After a few minutes of looking over the menu, we were ready to order. My selection was the Tavern Monte Cristo which consisted of chargrilled chicken and ham as the protein with Gouda cheese and cider aioli fried in a tempura batter with tavern fries. The meal was served hot and ready and tasted great. And having the cranberry coulis as a dipping sauce really added some taste. My only gripe with the sandwich was the amount of protein. I'm not sure if I ate most of it when we dined in, but when I ate the rest for dinner, it was more breading than anything else. Still good but they could've included more. Nonetheless, I was full. Good stuff as always from Park Lane Tavern :)
