Breakfast lovers! This place is for you. Small menu but tasty. Cafe is cute, full of pink flowers, they have about 10 tables maybe. No reservations required, first come first serve. They have a variety of matcha drinks and coffee.

Loved this cafe! We got the smoked salmon avocado toast, mango sticky rice creme souffle, strawberry shortcake souffle pancakes, hot matcha latte, and maple matcha latte. Everything was delicious and the staff were friendly. The matcha is a bit on the stronger side for me but that's how you can tell they use high quality matcha. The seasonal maple latte's syrup and donut topping were too sweet for me, but the matcha itself was good. They also have water you can serve for yourself. It has a nice, clean, somewhat minimalist interior too. It can get busy but they have seats for you to sit at to wait for tables to open up. Restroom is available and clean. I'd highly recommend!

Adorable little place! So modern, and the ambiance was very trendy with pop music playing. The music was a little loud for my liking, and sound really echoed through the space, but I'm incredibly sound sensitive as well. The matcha was really yummy but it was also INCREDIBLY sweet, to the point I wasn't able to finish it. I would definitely return to try the matcha but with significantly less sweetener in it. All of the food we had was DELICIOUS, so light and great for the hot day we visited on. Overall I did really like this place and would probably return if I'm in the area.

I heard about this spot from the owner on social media. I'm so glad I chose to check this place out. It was so cute!! The service was so great and speedy. I got the strawberry matcha. Very yummy! Definitely recommend.

Such a cute cafe! Solo trip to St. Paul and found this place had amazing reviews. Quite small and not many tables, I ended up having to take a 4 person table and it was just me. I ordered the strawberry matcha and the early riser avocado toast. Everything came out quickly and staff were very friendly and attentive. I was able to sit for a bit and enjoy my food and beverage and get some work done on my laptop. You can tell this is the spot all the cool kids go to! Wonderful experience and will of course be back to visit!

Delicious, fluffy soufflé pancakes! Many flavors to choose from, and seasonal options as well! Many drink options and also other breakfast options too. Great atmosphere, cute decorations, lots of seating for a small space. Strawberry shortcake and lemon blueberry photographed.

Tried their new Cookie Butter Misu Matcha today, just WOW!!! It's perfect for those who doesn't want a super sweet treat but still want that tasty creamy touch with a bold matcha drink. Staff is amazing as always

I went in on a Saturday to try their limited time only Sea Salt Maple Donut Matcha. I went around 10am and there were already a lot of people dining in. When it's busy, it can be hard to find parking since it's only street parking. Since I was doing take out, I didn't have to wait long. I like that they have seated sections for you sit and wait while they make the drinks. If you love matcha, I highly recommend you try their weekly specials. It was my second time trying their matcha flavors and I'm addicted.

I saw a TikTok of the banana pudding matcha and had to try it out! The place is so cute inside, decorated in pinks and yellows and donned with so many flowers. The staff are so nice and kind, they all had a warm presence to them. I got the banana pudding matcha and my friend got a strawberry matcha. They both were pretty good, the only thing is for these specific drinks, they only come with whole milk. I thought it was kinda funny they didn't have a lactose free option at an Asian cafe, but I accepted my fate and dealt with the consequences later. They both were great if you have a sweet tooth. I just don't like dairy milk with my matcha, it's very overpowering to me. It was also ~$9-10 per drink so pretty expensive. That aside, the cream and banana on top was a great combo with matcha! I don't think I'd order them again but I'd definitely want to try another drink.

My partner & I came here twice - back to back. The first time we came, it was a bit later in the day so most things were out. We were lucky enough to be able to get the lemon blueberry and it was phenomenal! Not too sweet and the tartness perfectly balanced out the dish. I got the iced matcha and my partner got the vanilla latte and they were both on point! The second day we came, I got the matcha delight and I loved it! The cream was a bit thick, which I love, and the matcha wasn't too overpowering. The strawberry shortcake was our least favorite, we thought it was a bit too sweet but still good overall. The soufflé pancakes are all so soft and delicious, it feels like I'm biting into a cloud. We got the strawberry matcha drink and the einspanner and both were so delicious! The staff is absolutely wonderful and so kind. They remembered us when we came in the 2nd day. The cafe is really cute inside and definitely Instagram worthy. There's plenty of residential area parking around the area, we parked about a block away. Overall, I highly recommend this place. It is first come first serve and things on the menu does run out. It can be quite the wait when the lines are a bit longer in the morning, my partner & I waited about 40 mins, but it was worth it!

Perfect Saturday treat - we ordered Matcha's to go because it was a significant wait for a table. I wont fault their success against them; they are popular and rightfully so! Got the Banana pudding Matcha and it was delicious - would recommend mixing it in if you want bits of banana pudding to sweeten every sip! Hope I can sit down next time, their cafe is so cute!

When I came the first time, I didn't know it was the spot I'd seen on TikTok! It's so cute inside and cozy! The drinks are mid from what I've tried, but they do have good lemonades. If you're looking for matcha, it's about a 6/10 for my palate. The area it really shines in is the soufflé pancakes! SO GOOD!! I recommend the matcha and blueberry one! Also, the salmon toast was nice and savory and balances everything out. They run out of things sometimes so try to go early! As for the service, it's ok. I feel like sometimes the owner is super nice and sweet! But other times it can get busy and she gets stressed, and can become a bit... less nice. Still recommend a visit!

I cannot recommend this establishment enough. Macy and Sao (sorry if I misspelled your name!) have put so much love and effort into their restaurant. They handle their busiest times with grace and kindness and always strive to create a welcoming and absolutely stunning environment. They care deeply for their community and are always finding ways to recognize other small businesses by doing giveaways and small events. I highly recommend coming as soon as they open if you're dining Friday/Saturday. But the food and drinks are absolutely worth the wait. They're more than willing to take down names and numbers to call once a table opens up but please be mindful they are have a very small space and do ask tables to limit their time so others can enjoy the food as well. They can get incredibly busy but regardless of that the food is always top tier and the drinks are always made with quality ingredients. I've tried most of their menu and swear by their matcha. The eispanner is so creamy and their new fruit flavored matcha pair very well together but I defiantly like the strawberry one. Their chai is also amazing! I miss the rose gold latte but I do enjoy how they swap out drinks and food for new seasonal options. I'm currently obsessed with their banana pudding matcha! As for food, the soufflé pancakes are where it's at. Lemon Blueberry and Mango Sticky rice are my current favorites but the strawberry shortcake and hurray for ube are subtly sweet classics. Of course, anything matcha here is going to be a hit so I try and branch out to their other flavors like the soufflé eggs Benedict which is a great sweet and savory option. Please give them a try because you won't regret it!

    Does this place have Mimosas?

I did not notice any on the menu, nor anything with alcohol.

Is this the kind of coffee shop where one can do some work and/or read a book?

    Absolutely!!!

Is the amount of whipped cream on the pancakes overwhelming? In a lot of photos, the whipped cream looks too generous.

I personally font think so because it's not overly sweet, in our situation I thought about asking for more because it was so good! I think it's proportionate for the size and thickness I'd the pancakes

That said, I found the tables claustrophobically close and the accoustics extremely loud. Most tables were for 2, but we were seated next to a 3 top that felt uncomfortably close. That 3rd person at the table next to me, who had extremely long hair, swished her hair *over* my plate of food more than once. At that point, I asked for a box to take my food to go just to escape the rude patrons sitting next to me. While I found the food well prepared and tasty, given the street parking only, menu prices, loud accoustics, and dense seating, I would probably opt to go elsewhere. There are other breakfast restaurants I prefer. It pains me to say this, because breakfast is my favorite meal to eat, and I'm always seeking someplace new to try. What did I get to eat: a tasty omelet with greens, gruyere cheese, and bacon served with hashbrowns and toast. The omelet and hashbrowns were both 5/5. The toast was borderline burned to my taste.

I had the bacon, green onion and cream cheese omelet ($16) which I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed the toast with a side of orange marmalade.
