I also realized that I wasn't shown the back of my hair with a mirror before leaving the salon. Normally this step helps the client confirm that the haircut looks correct before leaving. She was a nice person to talk but because of this cutting experience, I don't feel comfortable returning for a correction. I was planning to write this to salon directly instead of comment but there is no direct message option to them.

I've actually never had a problem with her work, and have found myself coming back every single time. But the punctuality was definitely starting to get old now. The reason I'm giving a 1 star review, is because she over-processed my hair to the point where I've had to cut the length off by a lot now due to HORRIBLE breakage. I had an appointment with her in the morning, and she was 20 min late. I didn't mind this time, but I did tell her we needed to finish on time because I had work later on in the day. During the processing point, she took 2 walk in haircuts back to back. I started noticing time go by, and was concerned at how long I had the foil in my hair for. Mind you, I did tell her that I was on crunch time, as she kept getting sidetracked majority of the time, checking her phone a lot + the 2 walk ins. By the time she got to my hair, I was super super behind on time. I think she probably took over 45 min to check on my hair even though I told her I'm sure my hair was ready for the foils to be taken out. I reiterated to her that if she was going to take walk ins and be late to her booked appt, to have booked me for another time where she can really devote her time and effort, and not give a half effort. My hair as the days came, really felt like spaghetti. I literally cried cause I knew I was going to have to cut it due to severe damage. Went to another stylist to cut my hair and they told me I had to cut off a lot, and that my hair was in a super fragile state that needed deep treatment. I love Cindy but due to the horrible time management and lack of efforts in our last few appointments, I sadly don't think I'll be returning back, in fear of damaging my hair again to the point of no fixing.

Contacted Tori via instagram and asked if she is taking any clients at this time which she was so the next available shot she had, I booked with her right away. All I wanted was a haircut because it's been maybe two years since my last cut? Sent her a few photos. She ended up having a cancellation so I got in a day earlier which worked out perfectly because I was available. I was greeted and Tori was super cool, sweet and chill. I told her what I wanted and she did her magic. I loved the haircut! It was simple, not too short but super cute. My hair felt healthier and softer, ugh. I just love it. I will come back! I had to wait a year before I could get my hair long enough to cut. Also, the cash only policy should be advertised. Thank God I had cash, but I had to go into Safeway to pull it out with a transaction fee. I think this practice is an avoid income tax. Shady.
