Looking forward to a good night's sleep for once in a long time. We really like doing business with Kerby's. We're still fairly new to the area, but our son had bought furniture from Kerby's so we tried it and purchased a very long console with a heater which we love and went back for the mattress. As we entered the store you could see the salespeople huddling waiting to be the first one to pounce. Not a great sight to see as a buyer, however, once we said we were just looking to see what was available they left us alone. Occasionally as we were walking around someone would ask if we needed help but for the most part they left us alone. This allowed my wife and I to look and discuss our needs and budget. The pricing was pretty good and we were convinced that when we were ready we were going to go back and make our purchases.

We are now being told the furniture is on backorder and the ETA has been pushed to the 4th week of July. I understand that backorders happen. What I do not understand is the complete lack of communication. We have received no proactive updates, no phone calls, no emails, and no effort to keep us informed about the status of a purchase worth several thousand dollars. Every update has come only because we contacted the store ourselves. When we called to discuss the delay and ask about our options, the conversation was frustrating. Rather than listening to our concerns, the representative repeatedly talked over me and immediately took a hard-line stance regarding the cancellation policy and potential 40% fee. At no point did I feel like anyone was trying to help find a solution or even acknowledge the inconvenience caused by the delay. The issue is not simply that the furniture is backordered. The issue is the lack of customer service, lack of communication, and unwillingness to work with customers when problems arise. As of today, we are still waiting for our furniture and hoping the latest delivery estimate is accurate. I will update this review if the situation improves, but so far the experience has been disappointing

We've purchased from Potato Barn multiple times over the years, and when we look for additional items, they are the first we go to. Our first purchases from them were over ten years ago, and each item has withstood the test of time both in quality and endurance. One of the fantastic things about Potato Barn is that what is available today, may not be there in a month - they rotate and include new things on a regular basis. When we bought our middle eastern style wood entertainment center, we put a deposit on it, arranged for delivery, made the purchase - and to this day, that piece has never been back to the showroom. Halloween came early and I love it. I can always bank on the Halloween stuff being out and ready…read moreright after the 4th of July. Today did not disappoint! Walking in I gasped with excitement. I see the wonderful Halloween things right away upon walking in and I was like a kid in a candy store. For me Halloween is my favorite holiday so my eyes light up like I am a kid again. Going down the aisles I could see that they were still stocking things and there would be more to come, but there was enough to keep me interested and scouring the aisles for what I wanted this shopping trip. The aisles were clean and clear, and the employees were nice whether they were in the store on the floor or at the cash register, which made the experience very pleasant. It's always so tempting with all of the ghouls and goblins and skeletons and pumpkins galore. Today I left with some cobwebs for my fireplace mantle for only $2.99 wow! What a deal!! It will look absolutely perfect.

We ended up leaving with a mantle decoration, but they already had everything from the giant skeletons and yard decorations to a few inflatables and plenty of indoor décor. The store was clean, easy to walk through, and the cashier was nice and friendly, which made for a pleasant checkout. Their prices are kind of a mixed bag. About half the time you find something and think, "That's a really good price," and the other half you're thinking it's a little more expensive than you expected. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because it seems like a lot of their larger decorations end up with some kind of damage. If you're buying one of the bigger items, it's worth taking a few minutes to dig through the stock and find the one in the best condition. Other than that, it's a fun place to browse, especially if you're ready to start decorating for Halloween way too early like we are.
