Bought sectional for a small size living room. When we first were met with the first sales person, a lady, she seemed very irritated with us and questions we had. Told her we had very small living room. She replied we don't have small sectionals. I did not get her name but was happy we were going to shop on our own without her around us. After about 20-30 min of browsing the living room furniture Eric Mastern asked if he could help us. He immediately showed us where the smaller sectionals are. We found two and then were back and forth on which one. We finally decided. He was patient, knowledgeable and professional. Made me give 5 stars because of him on my review. If he had not found us, my rating would have been 2. The store is very nice and good prices with sales. He also informed us of renting a pick up truck right there so we could bring it home ourselves. That is an excellent feature AFW has. We were packed up and ready in less than 20 min from purchase to their truck and driving it home. Thank you Eric!!! read more

We ordered a coffee table from them that had to be special ordered. We've had it less than two months and noticed that the molding on the side of it was peeling away, so we attempted to file a warranty claim. First of all, you can only make claims via a web form, which we did, and included a picture of the issue. They stated they take up to 48 hours to reply, and they pretty much did that to the minute. They basically accused us of physically damaging it, mind you that was off a single picture we sent, and then informed us we would have to pay for the repair. Didn't offer to send anybody to check it out, or even offered to allow us to take her to the store for an assessment, they basically just tried to put the blame on us, when we did nothing to cause the damage. I've used other stores such as Bob's discount furniture, and when we had a warranty issue, they sent someone to our house, to not only verify the issue, but also make the repair. I could've purchased this table elsewhere, and based on this, I will in the future because they refused to stand behind the products they sell. read more

Bought a couch from them and they said i have 5 days to let them know id anythings wrong so they could fix it, they dropped the couch off and and it was assembled incorrectly. I emailed the store directly, emailed the business email, called the store, called the support number, and no reply/straight to voicemail everytime. My couch is still assembled inccorectly. EDIT: ( A REPLY TO THEIR COMMENT ) i did open a case, i did use the exact contact info you replied with, and i never recieved any email back. Dont act like you're some helpful company if you aren't going to help, its outrageous how friendly you guys act to make the customer seem like the bad guy. The prices are so affordable for good quality furniture. Our salesperson very patiently walked with us throughout the store to mark down what we wanted to purchase. He was there for support but not hovering. We asked his opinion on many items. Checkout was easy and the cost for delivery was very reasonable. It took a few days for delivery but not long. We moved into a new apartment and furnished our entire apartment for about $1,300. Couch, loveseat, huge ottoman, tv stand, small dining table, 2 chairs for dining table, 4 end tables, an art desk, and a computer desk with office chair. They delivered on time and incredibly efficiently. The AMF movers were very courteous and even took the moving materials/boxes and wrap that came on the furniture with them. The only challenge that comes with the fantastic prices is that many items you have to assemble at home. 5 of my items were like that. With the exception of the tv stand they were all really simple to do with easy to follow directions. I definitely recommend getting furniture pre-assembled if possible, those are higher quality pieces. Also, the movers reminded me that if any furniture had flaws that I could return it and get a replacement free of charge. I managed to assemble everything alone. I recommend having someone nearby to hold pieces while you assemble. This is nothing like the IKEA nightmare assembly though, I promise. The affordable prices and the amazing customer service made up for the one awful assembly piece. read more

1/3/25 Today was mattress day! Service 5/5 Forever I've been sleeping on coil springs and my back and shoulders have suffered. It was time to look at other options. Our sales associate Michael spent time with me looking at options from hybrids to dedicated memory foam mattresses. After moving on and off several different firmnesses I got comfortable for 5-10 minutes in each to evaluate how the mattress supported L4/5/S1 and shoulders. All were big improvements over my two year old coil springs and one was dreamy, molding to conform without pressure points. Getting in and out was easy. I selected the King Size 13" Sea Breeze Copper King with platinum delivery and removal; a back-saver! Great selection, great service and convenient freeway access. This Place is great. Plenty of options to choose from & it's quality furniture too (A lot of well known names like "Ashley Furniture" & others). The prices were definitely fair for the quality. My salesman was on point. If you go to this location you should ask for Hans Mustad. He is very knowledgeable about everything in store, he is kind, and he understands the furniture business better than any other sales rep I have ever dealt with. I had my furniture delivered by Rob & Rudy from the delivery crew & they were also very professional & polite. The only problem I had was a couple of my items were broke somewhere along the way to my house but they were up front about it and I was called by the office and made aware that the replacement furniture would be delivered in 2 days which isn't great but hey... stuff happens, no big deal. We're from Los Angeles and we're thrilled that they offered out of state shipping! First off, the showroom is amazing. Like Disneyland but for furniture. LOTS of things to pick from, and we were helped by Joe Harper, who wasn't pushy and helped us find all the things we needed. We bought a mattress, leather sofa recliner, and end tables! All of them came delivered as promised and Gabriel, our delivery guy was fast and friendly (remember to tip these guys!) The sales people were helpful and the store is laid out very well. Delivery was prompt. However.....our king sized bed was not put together correctly and it took THREE different technicians to finally get it right. Our bed has two outlets with two USB ports in each. The one on the right side of the bed went out within 30 days. Yes, it was replaced. It went out again one week after the warranty ran out. My husband bought a recliner. Within 18 months, one of the wooden slats underneath broke, making the chair sit crooked. Yep, not under warranty again. It wound up at the dump and replaced it with one from LazyBoy. MUCH better quality. No, we will NOT be shopping at AFW ever again. To the business manager replying to my review: You stated: "We have our 1-year warranty on manufacturing defects but can still offer options after the warranty is up." Options?? Meaning paying additional fees for products that should have held up longer than the one year warranty. Seriously? read more

My outdoor furniture for $2000 roughly spent didn't make it through even 2 summers in Arizona. Was never disclaimed any of this. If you spend that much the furniture should last. If I could leave a zero- I would! I bought 2 couches last Feb 2025- the recliner section mechanism was changed out 3 times before it was fixed at which time...during the holidays I was informed the plywood on the back was broken and they would need to take that back section for 2-3 weeks to fix it. I informed customer service that this is not something I want to do! they told me I could replace the couch- it was and still is on back order, so I was informed that I could choose a new couch or couches to replace the 2 I have- so I picked out a sectional to replace the 2 couches. the delivery arrived on 1/12/26 and I was informed that the couches have heavy use and they cannot take them. I called and spoke to Chris and to Darlene who were also given pictures and did not see heavy use. They arrived today to redeliver and declined the exchange again.  I spoke to Valencia and she stated that the exchange will never be made - she kept stating this is over a year ago and it is not- these were purchased in Feb 2025- now they are saying that my exchange is declined all together - this is not acceptable the couches do not have heavy wear- worse customer service I have ever experienced! read more

I have been a fan of this location since they opened 14 years ago. Over the years I have purchased many bunkbeds, shelves and even entire bedroom sets for our bedrooms. I have purchased office equipment, dining sets and living room furniture. Everything I have purchased was built to last and most of it I still have. But the most amazing aspect of this store is always the customer service. Since it is no pressure sales, everyone is very helpful and I love that! Finally, I want to shout out AFW for having integrity in the workplace and respect for ALL employees. Called 4 times, different times of day, and no one picked up. When someone finally picked up the next day, they transferred me to a sales woman who was annoyed and said she was busy with a customer. I, as a potential customer, deserved attitude? I had to call a 6th time after she hung up on me, and again was transferred...to the very same annoyed sales woman who said, "I have no idea why they keep transferring you to me. I am busy." Found the outdoor rug I wanted and walked up and down aisles until I found 'John' a sales rep who was chatting it up w/another salesman. I give him my sons as he's purchased there numerous times with my husband ( who was present w/me). John verifies my sons name, takes MY debit card to purchase and sends me to pickup area. Great, easy I think. So, I've spent an hour in the store and now I get to cust serv and husband shows receipt etc and cashier asks if my son is w/us. Nope I say. Is there a # I can call him she asks? Nope I say he's deployed. She then proceeds to tell me I cannot pick up item as it's under my sons name! I reiterate that I paid for it under my card and name. Nope she says then asks if my husband has an account. No, he does not altho he has picked up items for my son before. Anyway, I tell the gal, 'just refund the item'. I was excited about getting a new couch to a trip to AFW to get a couch for my apartment. I spent a couple hours looking at the measurements of the couch's in comparison with my place to ensure it was the right fit. I was excited to get it delivered until I got a call from the delivery driver telling me that they couldn't deliver the couch because it wouldn't fit in the elevator by like 6 inches. I asked if it could it fit in the stairway and I was told yes but it would be a lot of work.. I've never in all my years and couches been told I couldn't get furniture delivered because it'd be too much work. I didn't know what to say so I watched from the balcony as they quickly loaded it back in the truck. I called customer service twice and took another trip to the store. I was told that it is company policy that the drivers have the "option" to decline delivery if it's even a little bit of a tight fit and/or there's more than 3 stories in the building. I was told by the manager that they work hard and deliver a lot of furniture in 115 degrees weather and are backed by company policy to not deliver if they choose for a variety of reasons. I'm now sitting at home with no couch and almost $1,200 charged to my credit card. Return policy could take up to 7 days and I'm out of hours of wasted time and no couch to date.. I'm so disappointed in the lack of customer insight, lazy delivery drivers and manager excuses. I was offered to not be charged the 15% restocking fee. I was hoping for a fair price point, a nice assortment of options, good customer experience and a solid purchase. read more

Don't do it! We purchased a leather couch and recliner as well as other items. Within a few months the leather was all stretched out on the lower part of the couch when not reclined. Two AFW technicians came out and said, "Do not buy leather from AFW or Ashley Furniture. This always happens." Apparently the 'pillow top' feature and their cheap leather are inferior and will fail, but not within their 30 day warranty period. I attempted to get a prorated refund to purchase something other than leather without any luck. We are still paying on junk furniture from AFW. read more

Buyer beware. We spent over $6,000 on furniture and expected a professional experience. We did not get one. The delivery team (Harley and Charlie) were abrupt, argumentative, and rude from the start. They brought the wrong fire pit table, which seemed to set one of them off. He became visibly agitated and used vulgar language. None of this was our fault, and frankly, the behavior was unacceptable regardless of the circumstances. I was working from my home office during the delivery, and my girlfriend was the one primarily interacting with the team. I noticed a distinct difference in how they conducted themselves when I was present versus when I was not. That pattern was not lost on me. A customer should not have to wonder whether the delivery crew is behaving differently based on who is standing in the room. Beyond the attitude, several pieces were damaged. One chair was left with visible dirty handprints. An end table appeared to have been touched up with paint before delivery, which raises real questions about whether we received new furniture. When the damage was pointed out, we were told damage is basically expected. That is not an acceptable response to a $6,000 purchase. The damaged items have since been picked up and a replacement delivery has been scheduled. I hope AFW takes this seriously and not just as a logistics issue to close out. The professionalism of the delivery team reflects directly on the brand, and this team did not represent it well. read more

Terrible delivery workers who clearly do not like their jobs. They was loud removing my returned items, the dropped items and most importantly they left a tons of screws, nuts and tool in my driveway. Thank goodness I went outside to look because of the noise they made I was worried. I could have ran over those pieces which I will upload on here. I called customer service and all they said was they will report this to the manager. They didn't offer any kind of compensation and mind you I had to pay a fee for them to come pick up their furniture. Wow so this is how they treat customers? We purchased a stone color power recliner,because of florescent lighting it doesn't really go with our stuff . We went back ordered a brown color this time . We decided to keep the original one just put in it in a different room. Delivery was great, in and out in less than 5 minutes. Bad part is the chair back appears to be installed crooked. It angles to the right looking at the front of the chair.seems to be a quality control issue. Otherwise it looks great Works great like the other one. Hopefully they will send an inspector to check out the situation They were great last time this happened when I purchased the chair I'm replacing. So hopefully they will do the right thing. I have waited over 9 months on one purchase for a bed set. Two separate purchases I have received damaged items. AFW blames the customer and charges a restocking fee even for their mistakes. I am going to have to give this place a 1 star. I am very disappointed with the service. I bought a set of couches and I noticed on one side of the couches and chair they had a hole as big as maybe a 2 year olds fist (I don't know how else to explain the gap). Staples were noticeable and if you looked inside the gap the couches had. So they sent a repair guy out to see them and apparently the frame was good and the solution was to sew the gaps or take them back and get something else with a $270 restocking fee. I just thought this was not fair to me because I feel that this was a manufacture issue. I spoke to 4 different people and everyone of them disagreed with me and told me they are not defective and this how they are made so when someone sits on them and reclines. I am not to sure what the reclining part pertained to because my couches don't recline. So anyways I went to the store here in Gilbert AZ and the selection they had was not that great. The only thing they waived during this whole process was going to be the delivery fee only if I exchanged or returned them in one week and I had to weeks to make a decision. So I did speak to one at the service desk and she did agree with what I was saying and stated if I would just get the right person it could be done to where I would not have to pay the stocking fee. Well the solution I came up with is I am going to go ahead and have them come and repair them because I refuse to pay almost $300 to restock them but I guarantee you that i will never step another foot in their door. First time customer and the worse experience. This is not service this is a scam. So be careful with what you buy. When they deliver your merchandise do let the delivery guys leave with out inspecting every inch. If one small thing is wrong refuse them immediately. Just know American Furniture I love buying furniture for my home you just lost a customer. I also found out during my conversation with a customer service rep at the store that they charge this fee only because people were buying stuff and returning it a week later so this is just a way for them to force you to keep what you bought. Just be careful with this place it might be affordable but they are a scam. The furniture is not good quality take your business elsewhere. read more
