It's a cute cheese shop. They maximize the compact space with quite an extensive selection of cheese of different shapes, sizes, smells, textures, and even colors (Photo 4). But I ain't gonna lie. Jamie W and I came here for a sandwich I saw on YouTube courtesy of Les Frenchies. One of them had one and proclaimed it the best sandwich in Paris. Bold statement I know, but since we were so close in Le Marais, we figured it was worth seeking out.
And it was...although it kinda reminded us of a cheese quesadilla. Consider gooey-good raclette cheese, the kind that gets melted and scraped into a housemade, handheld crepe already stuffed with potato slices, creme fraiche, red onion, and prosciutto (Photo 9). The quesadilla comparison is a compliment, and a French-style one couldn't help but appeal to us. They have just two cafe tables out front, so we snagged one to gorge in public (Photo 3).
FOOD - 4 stars...like an awesome French quesadilla
AMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...surrounded by a sea of refrigerated cheese
SERVICE - 4 stars...very nice and focused on the fromage
TOTAL - 4 stars...not sure it was the best sandwich but it was one tasty quesadilla
