The employees need to improve their communication skills. Very much lacking in empathy.

Each of you demonstrated excellent communication skills, extraordinary bedside manners and a clear passion for providing the highest quality of care possible to patients. I am truly fortunate to have been in the hands of such dedicated, knowledgeable, and hard working health care professionals throughout my stay in the emergency room. In tremendous appreciation, admiration, respect and gratitude, for all that you are and all that you do! Esther Lotz.

My condition (heart -related) was handled with the utmost care to determine the cause of my extreme symptoms. I appreciate the expertise and sensitivity shown at the Urgent Care, the ambulance, UVM , CAT SCAN and MRI professionals , nurses, doctors of the Emergency Room , , Emergency Room NP , and the intake nurses. Everyone was so kind and helpful, in addition to being professional , I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy, and l thank them all. I was impressed with the determination and dedication these professionals took in finding the root cause and resolution to my symptoms. It differed from their original diagnosis, and these professionals ordered the TESTS, to confirm ( or not) this preliminary diagnosis, which proved to be erroneous, ultimately. Bravo ! This is the place you belong if you experience an emergency situation. I highly recommend UVM's services . I received exceptional care on January 30-31st of 2026.

Went to the Williston, VT location for an IUD placement. This was a really painful procedure but…read morethe medical team here was so amazing. I tried to get up after and got really hot and was getting really bad contractions. They MA quickly laid me back down and within seconds I had people putting ice packs on my face, increasing the airflow, someone got me ginger ale & water, got me a heating pad, re-took my vital signs, and they got the provider right back into the room to give her an update. She saw I looked pretty pale & was shaking from the pain. She told me to wiggle my toes & fingers and while I was laying on my back she put my legs up on her shoulder to increase blood flow to my head. She said "at this point you are having a bit of a worse reaction than most. Your uterus is going through these contractions bc there is a foreign object now, but you have options. We can wait a bit longer and see if the pain goes down at all. Or we can take it out. It is up to you". I made the decision to wait a bit longer and boom. 60 minutes later I was feeling okay again. 4 hours later I felt totally fine, was eating, peeing, sleeping, etc. long story short, I was blessed with the dream team today. Getting an IUD is a bad time for anyone but these women took my concerns seriously, they were always upfront and honest with me, and they were so incredibly intelligent and kind. I can't believe I almost went to my PCP for this!! Definitely go to planned parenthood, that's where the real pros are. I highly recommend the Williston, VT location!!

They are a very helpful place to have. Non judgmental and don't make you feel like trashread more

I am so blessed to have Dr. Rachael Humphrey as my primary care physician. She is smart, attentive and caring! There is nothing worse than having a Dr. who's ego is inflated and she is just the opposite. The nurse was also very caring and considerate,as well as the front desk person, Phyllis, who helped me get the paperwork I needed to have Dr. Humphry fill out for me. I highly recommend this practice!

First - the charges are excessive: any visit starts at $190, and that's with any random provider, like a nurse-practitoner. And to even get in, you get a 'registration' call to feed in to Corporate Headquarters all the info that what was formerly your 'medical home' already knows about you. Or did, when it was actually a functional Family Practice. The typical encounter with family doc who actually KNEW THE FAMILY is now a 10-minute 'McVisit' with whoever's available- Listening to an asthmatic child's lungs OVER her clothing. And anything after that - even if you ask a question and actually talk about a problem - is an extra charge (or 'code') - so that a 5-minute procedure using syringe of warm water to get ear wax out of a kid's ear is BILLED AT $375! it's a SURGICAL PROCEDURE. A 'required' pre-op visit for an orthopedic procedure - mostly for the sake of paperwork - is close to $1000. We are waiting to see the cost of the EKG. Then! we get a call from a Hinesburg Family Health office person who says "Dr. Ulager says it's time to schedule the patient's colonoscopy." Had Dr. Ulager actually looked at the patient's chart, he might have seen that scheduling a colonoscopy is a totally inappropriate concern in the face of a major orthopedic procedure. This is NOT patient-centered care. Meanwhile, all the evidence is coming out AGAINST costly, ineffective, and routine screenings of all kind, INCLUDING colonoscopy, mammography, prostate-specific antigen, etc. But the simple effective procedures (that family docs used to do - hemoccult stool test, thorough breast exam, prostate check) are never ever done. God forbid you should actually ever touch or interact with a patient. This is corporate welfare - not patient-centered care. John Brumsted and his men should come out and see what's happening on the ground, and get some actual patient feedback data on the cost of all this. I am writing this as a doctor trained at UVM and regretful that the practice of medicine has become 'the health care industry.' We had an excellent family practice group here before FAHC bought it out. Now it is just McMedicine.
