I have been going to Dr. Herrick's office for several years now. I have always had so much anxiety but much less so now because everyone at the office is caring and professional and listen to my concerns. I have needed a lot of dental work done and Dr. Herrick and his staff have always been professional and gentle. When I have had an emergency, I have gotten right in. Not sure why Dr. Herrick received poor ratings but my experience had been nothing but stellar! By far, the best dentist I ever had in all my dentist-visit-life! Although I no longer live in this area and moved to the DC Metro, I still wish I can go to this clinic! After a job- move to DC from WA State in early 2004, I have visited many dentists since. The overwhelming compliments I received from the dental work Dr. Herrick performed were astounding! Each and every dentist since Dr. Herrick complimented the dental work that " it was a great dental work ". I agree and no one compares. I remember that he took his staff to learn the latest technology in CA on a continuing education basis. That in itself shows how he cares about providing the best quality and state of the art dentistry! My experience with other dentists fell short. Dr. Herrick was the standard! Too bad that his Office is out West and I am out East or I would have continued going here! Thus, I felt compelled to write this review to show my gratitude and to give credit where it is due! I've been to a few dentist in the area but none compare to the staff, specialists and of course doctor Herrick. Not only is his office state of the art but his dentistry skills are amazing! If you have any problems with dental anxiety they totally understand and work with you. I love those guys! I enjoy being a patient at Dr Herrick's office. The front office staff is efficient and pleasant, Dr Herrick is kind and straight to the point. He always gives me options I can work with. I am not normally a person to give a five star rating especially when it comes to dentistry. That being said my experience with Dr. Herrick and his staff was second to none. I am skeptical at best when it comes to medical professionals but I was put at ease as soon as I walked in the door. I was warmly greeted and quickly checked in to my appointment. I am a punctual person and always try my best to respect the time of others and I was very happy to find out that Dr. Herrick himself as well as his friendly staff are the same way. Don't take this the wrong I never once felt rushed, but my time was valued and respected. While on the chair it was obvious to me the Dr. Herrick and his staff know exactly what they are doing and it shows with the staff's professionalism and efficiency. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Herrick's for the past 8 years. He and his team of employees are so nice and competent. Dr Herrick and both of his hygienists are so good at getting me numb and keeping me that way. The best cleanings ever. Through yet very gentile. Before I get any work done I am given an estimate of what the insurance company will pay and how much my portion will be, They have "outside" financing available too. They go through Care Credit. 18 months with no interest. You just cant beat that. I highly recommend the office for all your dental care. Shannon read more

If you have children do not take them here! They will make rude comments to you if you want to come back with your child. They also park in the handicapped (they did not have plate or placard) stalls with no regard to people who need it. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! BE WARNED. This was the absolute worst dental experience of my life and has cost me hundreds of dollars. I came in for a filling. It seems like a nice place on the surface but they are completely incompetent. The nurse did my Novocaine, she shot me in my tongue with the needle this was EXTREMELY painful. She denied doing so, I had a huge welt on my tongue. The filling I had done came out within a week. I asked for my money back so I could see my trusted dentist to fix the work. Dr. Herrick wouldn't even call me back. Had to file a claim with Delta Dental, which was a COMPLETE nightmare. The incompetency of Dr. Herrick and his staff cost me hundreds and a lot of pain. Dr. Herrick kept my money and took the money paid out by my insurance for a filling that was done incorrectly and came out almost immediately. He runs a fraudulent and corrupt business. I do not have enough good things to say about Dr. Herrick and his staff. I have CONSISTENTLY received excellent care from everyone in his clinic, and that is not something many practices can boast. I am currently in my 30s and have always been extremely self conscious of my teeth and never smiled with my teeth showing because of that. I knew I needed extensive dental work done (implants, crowns etc.) for both dental health and cosmetic reasons. However, I was not established with a dentist and it had been more than 10 years since I had seen one! Needless to say, I was nervous for my first appointment, but was very quickly set at ease by everyone at the clinic. Dr. Herrick clearly communicated what work needed to be done, what work was urgent and what work could wait. He was extremely patient with me and didn't push me to move forward until I was ready. Long story short, my teeth are now fully restored, and I cannot begin to explain how happy I am with the results. I have strangers compliment me on my smile all the time! The first week after the restoration I was in a coffee shop and smiled at an older gentleman who smiled back at me and said, "Well, isn't that the smile of the century!?!?!" For someone who was made fun of as a kid for their teeth, for someone who rarely smiled because they were too self conscious, this was BIG DEAL!!!!
