Saturdays are really busy so was glad I decided last minute to book a table. The menu is filled with sandwiches, bagels, paninis etc and all come with soup for £5.95 which is a bargain when you see the portions. However the most popular order seemed to be the high tea for two, which at £5 per person is amazing! The atmosphere is lovely, with a mix of couple, familes and quite a few grannies being treated to tea and cakes by their grandkids. The decor is nothing fancy, but the setting and welcoming staff easily makes up for it There is fabulous selection of Suki teas and homemade baking. Soups of the day this week were tomato with basil and potato and leek. Last wee I tried the curried butternut squash which was amazing! The setting is lovely and the food is well worth the 15min drive from Dennistoun. There is a garden centre and lovely views onto the loch so you could easily spend a few hours over a coffee, chatting and escaping city life. The steak was the clear winner: tender chunks of steak, perfectly seasoned and moist. I can also report that the coffee was very good. My wife had a Macchiato and said it was quite nice as well. Including the food, drinks and a small tip, the total bill was £36. At £18 per person, this was not cheap but I had no problem with the value. The experience including the food, the service and the vibe all added up to make this worth the cost. If we're in Glasgow again, we'd be happy to do brunch here again.

It really does have it all - fresh fruit and vegetables all leafy and colourful, a gin lovers corner, wonderful cheese and meats deli, health foods section including a variety a GF flours, breads and oatcakes (try their own oatcakes, completely different from the brand that sounds like Talkers but sooo much tastier!), tray upon tray of freshly laid eggs...I could go on but you get the idea! And that's just the food section! They also have a glorious gift section where I could've easily spent a small fortune. Everything from kitchen gadgets to picnic baskets, kiddie gifts to Emma Bridgewater pottery and everything in between.
