Great entertaining racetrack. I called them on phone to see if I can camp out here if I come to the…read moreraces. They said yes. I think I was one of two campers here. Admission was $15. This was the first time I have ever been in the State of Pennsylvania. The trip coming over was beautiful with all the scenery and country side. Pennsylvania kinda looks like Ohio considering the country and the construction of its houses. On Scene; They put on a great show. It was a little cold in the grandstands with the wind blowing. The race director and his race staff know what they are doing here. The races ended at a reasonable time. There's garbage cans out in the parking lot. They have concession stands here. Although, I thought they were a little high. I paid $5 for nachos and cheese while other racetracks are about $3 to $3.50. I could see the whole race track from where I was sitting which was in the grandstands about half way up. They have scoreboard so you can keep up with who is winning. The staff that I encountered were friendly and professional. Yes, I would definitely comeback if in the area again. I enjoyed the races at this racetrack.

The concession stand is pick what you want and then walk back and pay for it. There were no lines at the concession stands which I like. I could see the whole race track from where I sat which was a little more than half way up the grandstands. They have races every Saturday night. It's located way out in the middle of nowhere. While I was here, I seen several Amish horse and buggy's going down the road in front of the parking lot of the racetrack. There are several portable potty's at the racetrack. Some are open all night for people camping in the parking lot like me. Camping is permitted on the outer perimeter of the parking lot, not in the middle. I saw about 12 to 15 campers camping along with me. Most were RV's.

Smith Road Raceway is one of the oldest motocross tracks in Northeast Ohio, and has always been…read morevery popular throughout it's existance. The track is, according to the owners, a natural terrain style track with mostly natural obstacles. I have not ridden on the track since the recent ownership change, but apparently not much about Smith Road Raceway has changed since the ownership change. The area surrounding the track has lots of trees, and the atmosphere resembles that of a park. Many people who don't ride simply pay to spend the day spectating and watching the riders, and the concession stand sells refreshments to guests and riders as well. Smith Road hosts various races throughout the riding season, and they are typically held on holiday weekends such as Memorial Day weekend, the 4th of July weekend, and Labor Day weekend. Overall, if you prefer old-school motocross racing and enjoy a family friendly setting, I would reccomend you go and spend the day at Smith Road Raceway. Fun track Went on…read moreopening night. They had 7 classes racing from bandoleros to late models. Decent car counts. Great for kids because stands are built into the hill and you don't have to worry about young ones falling. Concession stand had lots of options from burgers and hot dogs to pizza and sausage sandwiches.
