We saw the new Moana movie & it was great. I enjoyed that it wasn't a cartoon version. There were so many children watching it. The drive -in was only $10 per person in your car. They charge $10 if you bring in food. But they have a building where you can purchase food especially popcorn . It was so nice to see the movie on the large screen. read more

The owners here should contact Goochland Drive In down in Virginia for guidance on providing a safe quality experience. 1. Employees should differentiate parking based on vehicle size. Trucks should not be middle/front. 2. Twine should be provided to tie down lift gates. They're open everywhere and you can't see squat. Not to mention coolers, kids, and whatever else on the roof. People are arguing and getting ready to fight because these basic considerations are not advised or enforced. 3. Close the gates after movie start. Nothing is worse than being blinded by latecomers weaving around looking for spots. I love a drive in. But if I can't see from a truck something is wrong with the setup. read more

Drive-ins are so fun, especially with kids. Nice location for east-siders, clean, quiet (no trains every 30 minutes like Auto-Rama in N. Ridgeville), they rent speakers if you don't want to use your car stereo, great online ticket ordering option. Have just 3 stars, however, due to food: Soft pretzel was cold (love that they sell nacho cheese with them- nice kick) and beer batter o-rings were over-cooked. Auto-Rama has three screens (1 here) and has better food/bigger food selection (fresh pizza which is delicious), and soft-serve ice cream (including Dole pineapple and orange sorbets) Kids had a blast! read more

I love this charge-per-car, nostalgic drive-in theater. It's not one of those new-age, charge per person spot. And they have a double feature! I've been coming here since I was a wee Cara and I even remember the footie 'jamas I wore. Don't judge. And now my boyfriend and I take his 6yr old and still have a blast. You can really save of weekend entertainment for the kiddies at Mayfield. Not into over-priced concession stand fair? Or maybe it's the junk food factor you don't like. For just a little extra, you can bring in your own snacks and bevs. That's a win right there. Drive-ins are sadly becoming a dying tradition, so support your local spot. So fun. The concession stand had quite a few offerings, believe it or not. The popcorn was good. Bathrooms were clean. Doors open around 7:30pm and I guess you can reserve certain areas but we arrived at 8:30pm for the 9pm movie start and we were fine. A fun night under the stars for sure! read more

Been here multiple times they always have double features and the entrance fee is 20 per car which is a great value. Snacks and good are also reasonably priced with a great selection there are also playgrounds for kids to play at if they get bord. It's big area plenty of room to fit alot of cars. read more

I love movies but I love the experience of going to movies even better. A trip to the cineplex today is not what it used to be. Long lines, rude patrons, armed security in the lobby, over-priced concessions and commercials before the movie. All of this for upwards of $8 a ticket! There's a better way to see movies and it's at the drive-in - the Mayfield Drive-In. This place is a real throw back to the days when people went to the movies to, you know, see movies and not text their friends. The admission price can't be beat: just $20 per car. You can pay $5 to bring in outside food. But I honestly don't mind spending a few extra bucks at the concession stand. My feeling is, this is where the operators make their profit and they are doing something of a public service by operating the drive-in, so buying concessions is my way of giving back. Besides the concessions are typically less expensive than what you pay at the theater. The drive-in experience is a blast. Pull your car in (or back up your SUV), turn on the radio and settle in for a double feature of the summer's biggest blockbusters. No extra charge for the fresh air and summer night sky. The staff here is great. We had some trouble figuring out how to turn off our interior lights and one of the employees helped us. The folks at the concession stand are quite nice. The Mayfield Drive-In is the perfect way to spend a summer evening. If you long for the old school experience of going to the drive-in or if you just want a better movie-going experience, see a movie here. You won't be disappointed. read more

The Mayfield Road Drive-In is one of my favorite spots to spend an evening in Northeast Ohio. Along with the Midway Twin Drive-In in Kent, this theater is a fun, family-friendly way to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The staff is very friendly, the movies are great, and the prices are very good. $20 per car load is a phenomenal deal, especially when you bring friends. Then you have more money to spend on the delicious food! Overall, the Mayfield Road Drive-In is a MUST SEE for any Northeast Ohio resident. I don't have many other drive-in venue experiences to compare to Mayfield Road (as in none) - but I'm still a fan. We took our family who was visiting from out of town. It was $16.00 for the entire car and there were 7 of us. You get to see two movies during the week and certain weekends are three in a row. Craziness, so if nothing else...great value? They have a concession stand with junk food and you can also pay $5 to bring your own food. It's a fun date idea or fun to take the family. My cousins loved it. it's a great summer memory. I would be sad to see anything happen to Mayfield Road Drive-In considering there are so few left in the country. read more

A childhood classic. Where their policy has changed from carload (what's more fun than trying to stuff as many of your friends as you can into an old Skylark?!) to per person, and back again. But you have to pay $5 to bring in your own food. No big deal. Especially if you want more than just a a bag of popcorn for the same price. I usually love this place, but we tonight there is a vehicle that arrived as the previews played, parked in a reserved space in front of us and their hatch is al the way up. They have no hook to tie it down and the vehicle is leased so they don't want to tie it level with the roof. Twice I brought the issue to the attention of staff. Instead of asking them to close it completely or move, my kids get shafted missing the bottom of the screen. So disappointing. read more

This is a great place to have fun and social distance during the COVID era. I do wish that the movies began earlier, with the first movie beginning at 9:20. It would be easier for younger kids if they began earlier, except it has to be dark out. We only stayed for one movie but it is amazing how there is a double feature! If you want to stay up late and have fun rhis is the spot! The concession stand has lots of options and the food is good. Definitely recommend! Just remember some bug spray! It's also very well priced. $20 per car as admission, so if you have 4 or 5 people you've saved a lot of money compared to a regular theater. You can also bring your own food for a fee of $8, which isn't bad considering the fact concessions are how they make money and you're not giving them money by doing this. They should never let people open up their hatch backs. We brought my grandchildren and no one who opened their hatch back was level with their roofs. They should make everyone pull in. Would not go there again. They have people wali g around telling the suv owners to lower their hatch backs but as soon as they leave and the movie starts it goes back up again. I like this drive-in. It's not a far drive at all. It's wayyyy cheaper than going to a theater. Per car it's $20. If you bring you're own food there is an $8 fee. So $28 still is nothing compared to what I spend at a theater For 5 people. And if you buy the concession stand food the prices are still good compared to a theater. And the food is pretty tasty. Get there early so you can get a good spot and take mosquito repellent! read more

The owner walked around and shined a flashlight in every car without permission and shined his headband light into the back of my car on us and stared at us as we were watching the movie. I found this EXTREMELY invasive! I've been to Auto-o-Rama in North Ridgeville many times and prefer it to Mayfield Road. I don't think I will ever return to Chardon's drive-in. I am understanding that a business needs to make money where it can, but when we brought in outside food for one person (who has severe allergies) we were told we needed to buy a red ticket for $8.50 to bring in our own food. When we notified them that it was for only one person with allergies and we would be buying other snacks at their food counter they still insisted we pay the $8.50 for bring in food. When we went to their food counter they did not provide any alternative for those who have severe allergies to enjoy. We paid for tickets, speakers, and snacks all equaling well over $50 to their business. We enjoyed the rest of the night and the outdoor theater, I only request that the business either provide snacks for severe allergies or allow to waiver the $8.50 fee. Allergen free snacks are expensive as is and becomes troublesome everywhere we go...please don't add more expenses where they are not needed. read more

I agree with some others. The 'manager' walks around and tries to get you sneaking your own water because you didn't pay $5. Although I did stand in line for 52 minutes for just a popcorn (paying cash). You think he'd help ring people out or collect cash from people with exact change. The guy had no class and they walk around with there walk talkies loud, lights shinning in every vehicle during the whole movie. There are about 10 good parking spots....if you get there at 4pm and wait 6 hours! The women's restroom was another 1/2 hr wait and they were using the men's. No lie, the inside temp of the 'snack place' was well over 100 degrees! All the workers just sitting there sweating with all the food prepped hours in advance and still only 1 register and way to pay. I was hoping for a good experience but NEVER AGAIN!
