Everything was ordinary until you open the door to your room. It was an extremely spacious suite with a work area along side the living room that had a fairly good size TV. I normally don't sit on the couch but it was so inviting so I gave it a try. I didn't get up for a good hour. And it wasn't because I was tired. The kitchen has everything you could need. Whether it's regular or decaf coffee. All the utensils and pots and pans are there. It's always nice to be an able to cook a meal instead of constantly having to run out for food. The shower and bed are the two most important factors when you staying somewhere. Neither disappointed. The bed was absolutely perfect. They made it extremely hard to get out of bed. They have an indoor pool but unfortunately I didn't bring swim wear. They have an area where you can sit outside with an adult beverage. It was just nice to go out in the warm weather and relax. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming. The upside is that breakfast was free. And they didn't disappoint. I have stayed in countless hotels due to my career and the Staybridge I would put close up to the top. Breakfast you had many things to choose from. Eggs, sausages, fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast, coffee cake and pastries, cereals and snack bars. Different types of coffee as well. I would highly recommend staying at the Staybridge suite hotel. Looking forward to my next visit in the area.

We really appreciated the barista going out of her way to provide our grandchild with a fun experience. The towels are large and soft. The bedding was apparently new as it was stiff, so not as comfortable as it looked. The bed was very firm but did seem to tilt to the edges. The room we had apparently had direct access to the venting for the AC and it was really loud each time the AC came on so avoid room 110 . There was a sound machine available on the nightstand which I was assuming was to mask the road sounds but I didn't hear the traffic at all so now I think it may have been to blend the sounds of the AC. We will definitely use this hotel again, just ask for a different room.

First of all, I'm giving two stars because after traveling the red eye arriving punch drunk I mentioned I would wait in the lobby until my room was ready. They manager was very sweet and expedited my room set up for which I was and am very grateful. However, it went downhill from there. After they gave me the key, I walked into the room and the housekeeping manager was there. She was visibly upset they they had let me in early although the room was already clean. She was very obvious in her displeasure. The next day, being exhausted I slept in with the do not disturb sign on the door until a few minutes after noon. Then I went out to take care of my business. When I came in later that evening the room had not been cleaned. When I mentioned this to the manager she said they don't clean the rooms after noon. Then why are they not ready until 3pm? So I had to ask for towels and make up the room myself. I assumed it was retaliation from the housekeeping manager for my early check in the day before. For some reason she was really out off by it. Also, that night I really could have used a cafe latte or any coffee for that matter. They have a machine in the bar and I had got one the previous evening. This evening's manager said "I don't make coffee. Come back in the morning when they make coffee." Lots of attitude. It was about 930 pm. The room had a permeating odor of mold. The air conditioning evacuation system needed to be flushed. The whole place looked worn and shoddy. And to top it off, when I checked out, I was charged 50% more on my credit card when I prepaid than what was noted in the bill. Both invoices said Hyatt Place and the website represented themselves as Hyatt hotels. I was told that they were a third party and they could charge what they wanted. My credit card (discover) declined to take the complaint seriously. I cancelled them as well. And everyone had an air of being put out - other than the housekeeping ladies who were very sweet (not including the supervisor of course). Long long story short. Never going to any Hyatt ever again.

Something that caught my attention while touring Gordon Food Service is the focus is on bulk rather than multiple brands. Upon viewing the Snapple section, it appears GFS sells Snapple varieties other stores don't carry. That's awesome! Recently, some of my friends recommended I check out Gordon Food for hot dogs and other goodies to use when I host cook outs & other gatherings.

The ladies at the front desk were friendly. Check in was at 1pm so we were early. They took our information to hold the room which was nice. They also took our luggage and held it for us till we came back. After returning, we made our way to a large room with an empty mini fridge. The bed was comfortable. While this isn't the most luxurious hotel, it is a comfortable stop before finish the drive to Detroit. And the have continental breakfast at 6am, I mean come on, amazing!

I highly recommend. I will say though, it's a little tricky to find. You might think you're going to the hotel next door, but watch for the markings on the actual road itself. I had ordered a set of 5 balloons and then a number 5 ballon as well. Let me start with the large balloons were great and my kiddo loved them very much. Now for the "regular" smaller balloons, I have to wonder when they were actually filled with air because less than 12 hours after pick up they are already hanging at halfway between the floor and the ceiling. I noticed pretty quickly once we got home that they didn't seem quite as full as some of the other ones. The prices there aren't super cheap so it was upsetting to me that within a couple of hours the balloons there already failing. I've gotten balloons before from grocery stores and such and know they should last much longer than these did. I would go back again in person to purchase to make sure they are being filled as I order....but I would never again trust them to do any balloons via online ordering or curbside.
