We have a bunch of family that lives close but decided to book a room since we would be in Canton. Plus, I wanted to see some of the local sites. Checkin is at 4pm but was able to get in a bit early at 3pm. We were warmly greeted with a little gift bag of water and the famous double tree cookies. The hotel was recently renovated and they did an excellent job. It looks great. As a Diamond member, we lucked into a complementary Hilton Honors upgrade to a King Suite! I absolutely love when that happens and really appreciate it. The room was amazing. Comfy bed and plenty of space with the main room, the bedroom, and the bathroom. I really liked that the bathroom had that separate private toilet. If you have the Hilton Honors app you have TV controls built in. The room had a full size ironing board, two HD flatscreens, and a mini fridge. The hotel has an excellent fitness center and an indoor pool. We even worked in some indoor pool time this cold snowy December. I would absolutely stay here again. Only downside was the bedroom thermostat was offline and it was a bit cold (but the living room still worked, and oh there no hot tub. It looked like they made it a planter). We opted for the parking garage for a $8 fee which was so reasonable. Morning coffee is offered in the lobby and good food in the hotel restaurant. Definitely leaving 5 stars for quality and staff!

But please note there's no sidewalks on some of the nearby streets so if you are planning to walk, this is not a good location for that even though on the map things look very walkable.

They even ensured I got the same room rate despite having to change room types. Kimberlie recognized me from a previous visit on my recent stay and stopped by my table during breakfast to say hello. Despite being in Canton for challenging reasons, the staff here have continued to make the SpringHill Suites a comfortable, easy part of my stays. As of December 2025, the hotel is undergoing renovations or updates, but they've minimized disruption by strategically using rooms away from the current work.

There was a sound machine available on the nightstand which I was assuming was to mask the road sounds but I didn't hear the traffic at all so now I think it may have been to blend the sounds of the AC. First of all, I'm giving two stars because after traveling the red eye arriving punch drunk I mentioned I would wait in the lobby until my room was ready. They manager was very sweet and expedited my room set up for which I was and am very grateful. However, it went downhill from there. After they gave me the key, I walked into the room and the housekeeping manager was there. She was visibly upset they they had let me in early although the room was already clean. She was very obvious in her displeasure. The next day, being exhausted I slept in with the do not disturb sign on the door until a few minutes after noon. Then I went out to take care of my business. When I came in later that evening the room had not been cleaned. When I mentioned this to the manager she said they don't clean the rooms after noon. Then why are they not ready until 3pm? So I had to ask for towels and make up the room myself. I assumed it was retaliation from the housekeeping manager for my early check in the day before. For some reason she was really out off by it. Also, that night I really could have used a cafe latte or any coffee for that matter. They have a machine in the bar and I had got one the previous evening. This evening's manager said "I don't make coffee. Come back in the morning when they make coffee." Lots of attitude. It was about 930 pm. The room had a permeating odor of mold. The air conditioning evacuation system needed to be flushed. The whole place looked worn and shoddy. And to top it off, when I checked out, I was charged 50% more on my credit card when I prepaid than what was noted in the bill. Both invoices said Hyatt Place and the website represented themselves as Hyatt hotels. I was told that they were a third party and they could charge what they wanted. My credit card (discover) declined to take the complaint seriously. I cancelled them as well. And everyone had an air of being put out - other than the housekeeping ladies who were very sweet (not including the supervisor of course). Long long story short. Never going to any Hyatt ever again.

The hotel is pet friendly, but, the staff has to meet your dog first to make sure that he/she is friendly and safe. We brought my rambunctious granddog. They petted him, talked sweetly, and gave him treats. He was happy! He was barking and acting up but you couldn't hear him barking outside of our room. I tested it so good job with the thick walls! The room wasn't the most updated but it was clean and spacious. It had a nice size TV and had free wifi. Yay! The lobby was comfortable with ample seating! There is a fitness center, pool area, and free buffet breakfast with Starbucks coffee. I'm not a big Starbucks fan but a lot of people are and they had it there. The hotel even has a free charging station for electric cars! I had a good experience and I would stay again :-)

We arrived at 1:30 PM and they told us that they did not have any rooms available and for us to come back at check-in, which was 3 PM. They still did not have any rooms at that time and we proceeded to wait until about 4:20 PM while they checked in an NFL Inductee's family of 12-15 people. We had to be ready and on the bus at 5 PM so I kept pestering the front desk, asking when our room would be available. They put us in an ADA room, even though that was not what we had chosen. We had chosen a standard king size bedroom. At least we could settle in and be ready to go with our group by 5 PM. We did not notice the issues with our room until we got back after the football game, which was close to midnight. Our TV did not work and since it was an ADA room, the shower head and drain was in the middle of the bathroom, which was kind of weird. We also noticed a musty, damp smell and feel to our room. We brought our own pillows and when we laid them on the bed, the hotel pillows felt kind of damp. We called the front desk to alert them about our TV not working and they sent a facilities staff person to check it out. Turns out it was busted so we spent that night unable to unwind with TV. We requested a different room but the front desk said they were sold out. The next morning I went to the front desk again and they had the facilities manager come in and evaluate the TV again, as well as the shower. Our shower had very poor water pressure and the shower wand was broken. The facilities manager said he would have to rebuild our shower, that it would take about an hour, so we went to breakfast and came back to get ready for our next event. The shower was still not done. My husband had to take a shower in the pool area and that did not have a shower head, just a shower wand and he had to hold it while showering. There was no piece to hold the wand and he was unable to secure it above his head. He also noticed black mold on the walls in our room, which made sense given the damp pillows and musty smell. We asked to speak to a manager about all of our issues and she was very kind and apologetic and immediately put us in an available standard room, which was the room we should've originally had. She showed us the available room to make sure we approved of it. Because we were traveling with a group, she couldn't refund us our money, but she did award us with points for a future stay. I was just very shocked that this came from a Marriott hotel. We do not travel that often and have had no problems before. The hotel is old and in dire need of a full renovation.

This hotel has been overlooked by many including myself until now…read more Needed a quick find and decided to try Staybridge. I did not expect to stumble on this gem of place. Everything was ordinary until you open the door to your room. It was an extremely spacious suite with a work area along side the living room that had a fairly good size TV. I normally don't sit on the couch but it was so inviting so I gave it a try. I didn't get up for a good hour. And it wasn't because I was tired. The kitchen has everything you could need. Whether it's regular or decaf coffee. All the utensils and pots and pans are there. It's always nice to be an able to cook a meal instead of constantly having to run out for food. The shower and bed are the two most important factors when you staying somewhere. Neither disappointed. The bed was absolutely perfect. They made it extremely hard to get out of bed. They have an indoor pool but unfortunately I didn't bring swim wear. They have an area where you can sit outside with an adult beverage. It was just nice to go out in the warm weather and relax. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming. The upside is that breakfast was free. And they didn't disappoint. I have stayed in countless hotels due to my career and the Staybridge I would put close up to the top. Breakfast you had many things to choose from. Eggs, sausages, fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast, coffee cake and pastries, cereals and snack bars. Different types of coffee as well. I would highly recommend staying at the Staybridge suite hotel. Looking forward to my next visit in the area.
