All of the offices I contacted were booked for 3 - 6 months. The doctor is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism. She joined Cleveland Clinic over a decade ago where she built the inpatient diabetes program, among other important quality-improvement projects. Dr. Villabona has recently opened up her own practice and I am one of the fortunate ones to be treated by her. Dr. Villabona is caring, personable, patient, and thorough. She seemed genuinely interested in getting me back to tip-top health! I will be returning for a follow up soon, but it's also reassuring to know that I can reach out to her through virtual visits Monday thru Thursday from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., as well as early morning on the first Saturday of the month. These telemedicine visits are for established patients only, so please call her office for a new patient consult today. The day before my…read moreappointment at 4;36PM, I received a text message stating my appointment was canceled because I am a patient of Dr. McDonald, not Dr. Lerman, and was instructed to call to reschedule. When I called back, the office was already closed. I have been a patient with this center for over 30yrs., and started my care with Dr. Sam Lerman. Due to all the changes of personnel being fired, leaving or retiring I was subsequently transferred to Dr. McDonald. I saw him 3xs and was not happy with his care. He kept me waiting for over an hour the last time I saw him. That's why on July 30th, I requested that my care be transferred back to Dr. Lerman. This was all confirmed and I received several annoying electronic and phone messages confirming my appt with Dr. Lerman prior to their cancellation on Aug 12. Communication with this office has been consistently difficult. While the website lists business hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, getting anyone to answer the phone during those times is nearly impossible, and their after-hours answering service center advised that the office does not open until 8:30 AM. Despite leaving countless phone and text messages I never got a call back. I finally reached someone at 9:30 AM, I was given conflicting excuses: first, that Dr. Lerman was overbooked, and then that my appointment was not scheduled for enough time. Ultimately, Dr. Lerman refused to see me, because he did not want to accept the transfer of care, even though Dr. McDonald works for him!! A total waste of my time. I eventually spoke in person with the new Office Manager, Christina, who apologized and acknowledged the severe handling errors. She admitted that their website information is inaccurate, promised to personally assist me in rescheduling with another doctor, and assured me she would call me back. I never received that follow-up call. Due to this pattern of poor communication and unprofessionalism, I am no longer a patient at this practice.

I have been seeing them for about a month or so and already have a new CGM and will soon have a new pump. I came in very uncontrolled and while they discussed what needs to happen they didn't fuss at me or guilt me like ALL of my other doctors have. I'm reasonably smart so I have always gotten background on things that concern my health. I research to the most extensive detail so I would understand how best to convey my concerns and condition to my doctors and also to understand if their diagnosis and treatment makes sense for me. I have caught a few mistakes in my time and I am also one who seems to be the one to find out this kind of information for all of my friends because I am so driven. I have a condition that I have seen several doctors for as well as found all of my information from medical centers universities other doctors overseas and have managed to put together a network of friends who supplied me their information for similar issues that they are going through so I am quite thorough and knowledgeable about whether or not the doctor is up to speed and going to use the latest information or is not. Needless to say but I will, I like a doctor who I can share my concerns, knowledge I have picked up, and to get their opinions on it as well as to understand why they are doing what they are doing because I know my body. This doctor will discuss all of this as well as any questions you can have while being courteous and allowing you all the time you need to explain as well as to understand what she is telling you. This doctor took the time to gather all my background before I even had my first appointment and have taken the time to read all of it and evaluate it so that when we finally met I only have to go over some history and she already had a game plan! I was pretty much sure of the range of possible effective treatments and she was exactly consistent with what I read regarding that! It's nice to find somebody who is so competent in their field that you don't have to wince and research like mad knowing that you're going to get faulty work or diagnosis unless you catch everything! After all this time I have a years spent trying to find the right doctor and treatment for myself I think I can finally say I can let go and let the doctor take over! If I have to find something bad I would say on my three interfaces with the office staff, one time I didn't find them as courteous as I would've hoped for and you may have to wait a while for the doctor but subsequent visits have shown a nice staff to deal with. I am really excited and anxious to just put my self in her hands and start my path toward success! What is stress reducer to have somebody, whether they are your doctor or a plumber or fixing your car, who knows what they are doing so you can just let them do it and relax without worrying!

Since there was a cancellation my appointment was only 3 weeks out which was better than any other endo office too call. I am so glad I found this place. The office is really spacious and clean. The staff is really nice and the doctor is amazing. She listened to my issue and my reason for visiting her, she took her time to understand my situation and gave me hope that she can get to the bottoM of it. At the end of the day I needed one doctor willing to go above and beyond and so far she has done that. I would highly recommended her office.
