What a wonderful trip to Notre Dame in South Bend Indiana. My family and I took a trip to see this year's first home opener. Eileen Minor was our travel agent. We stayed in a very nice hotel called the Clover Hotel, it was just 10 minutes from the campus. The flight was great both ways as was the car rental place we were given 2 Jeep Saharas, they were great on gas and on the price. Everything was fantastic. Rating; -Negative 10 Glad to hear she has been arrested for taking money for trips that never happen. We booked a trip to Ireland in 2020, long story short, all we ever got from her was excuses. Had to hire and pay for a lawyer to get our sizable deposit back. Others in our group paid IN FULL, and I don't believe they have gotten their money back. We were in contact with local authorities and even the Attorney General's office, and basically heard nothing or got no help. It's too bad it took this long to take her down, because all these people wouldn't have gotten ripped off from 2020 to 2024. read more

Finally she has bee arrested after all the misery and heartbreak she caused!!!! My cousin and I fought with her for over a year regarding every single detail of our trip to Ireland and I know we did not get what we paid for. From the first we had to fight her for any confirmation numbers, bookings - I always called the airline to ensure we had tickets but found out we weren"t booked on a return flight back. Hotel reservations were not paid for and in one instance we found out the room was only booked for single occupancy when we both went to eat breakfast. Meal were not forthcoming that we had been assured we would be receiving. The only reason we kept up the complaining to go on the trip is because we were afraid we would not get our deposit back. She made the whole trip miserable. read more

Unfortunately, I need to amend my earlier review from September 2, 2023. After a medical emergency on a trip to Ireland, my relatives have been unsuccessful in obtaining any reimbursement for expenses occurred under the trip insurance they paid for. Eileen has been unresponsive to all contact efforts for months. She was helpful at the time of the emergency but non responsive to all follow up efforts on reimbursement. Like others, my relatives paid for travel insurance but received no confirmation or policy details. read more

I manage a hotel and Thompson Tours Eileen Miner scammed us out of payment!! Gave us some sob story about her credit card being hacked. Then never answered our calls, emails texts, from us. We sued her and won, however she still hasn't paid. Please don't book with her. From what I understand this is a frequent thing she does. read more

I can only post a warning about traveling with Thompson Tours. If you choose to book a trip and take insurance through Thompson, make sure you have the insurance company, policy number, and what is being covered as soon as you can after you book. Have the information in writing along with a contact name and number in the event you need to cancel or have problems during your trip. Enough said. read more

I didn't want to believe that the comments were true as I also read great comments about some of the trips. I went ahead and booked our Penn State Rose Bowl trip. The trip itself was great! Well organized. However, I paid a $400 deposit that took a lot of work to get back, as the deposit was not taken off my total amount. I called her to make sure I got the $400 back and Eileen said I would be paid back by the end of the day when she called me back. I did not receive the money. When I reached out to see what had happened, she said she couldn't pay me back because I filed a dispute with Paypal. I never filed a dispute and sent her a screenshot of the dispute screen that showed no disputes. I asked her to send me a screenshot of what she was seeing on her end. I never received one. After about a month of back and forth, I requested her to pay me back through the request option and she paid it. I thought we were settled and now my request is being disputed. I have spent way too much time keeping documentation, emailing and calling to get my money back. Now I have to spend more time fighting the dispute. It's a shame because our trip was so great! I'd go a different route in the future. One and done for me! read more

Second time using this agency. First time went well, as far as we know. But after this last trip in January, we eill never use her again. We paid for travel insurance, but found out she never got it for us. Thank heavens we didn't have to cancel our trip. We went with her a few years ago and now I am wondering if our travel insurance was paid that time. None of our group remembers getting any confirmation from the insurance company. She rarely returned emails or phone calls after she got our money. Her prices are good, but you get what you pay for. read more

just returned from a trip to Italy and a cruise to Turkey and the Greek Islands. It was amazing!!! The accommodations in Italy were great and we loved the beautiful town we stayed in. I love to cruise and the ship, Enchantment of the Seas, was wonderful! We were busy everyday with excursions and we will never forget what we experienced. We were a party of eight and our guide, Ellen, was very nice and took care of all our needs. I would like to thank Eileen Minor and our guide, Ellen, for a wonderful trip!!! read more

My family and I just returned home from a fabulous Mediterranean Cruise. Eileen made arrangements for us to stay in Civitavecchia, the Port of Rome, beforehand. The town, hotel, and dinner at My Lourdes restaurant made it the perfect start to our vacation! The port of calls for this cruise included a day at the gorgeous Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Turkey (The Ancient City of Ephesus), and the Greek islands of Santorini and Mykonos! The transportation and excursions were perfectly planned! We experienced it all! Eileen also made arrangements for an overnight stay in Athens once the ship docked. Again, we had our driver ready to take us all through Athens! Seeing the Acropolis and walking the streets and dining in the little village of Plaka was the perfect ending to our vacation! Well it's over a year since our trip was canceled and we still didn't receive a full refund. I've spent so much time texting, emailing and call her, plus writing the BBB and the Attorney General trying to get a refund. I guess when she heard from the Attorney General's office I finally got a text from her and we were suppose to receive a full refund at the end of January. We received a partial refund with a promise of the balance in February. We received another partial in March. It is now almost July she still isn't answering her phone, texts or emails or returning calls from messages left on her voice mail, so now I am writing the Attorney General again. No star rating for Eileen Minor. I had to give her one to post this review. read more

Minus 2 stars. Worst trip ever. I was part of the original group that booked this back in September 2019 for the August 2020 trip to Ireland for the Notre Dame vs. Navy football game. Was promised things on the agenda that never happened. One being a ferry ride to the Aran islands. She claims it was due to water being too rough. Total BS. There were ferries going out. She just over extended her agenda. the entire group (minus Eileen of course) stranded in Kinsale Ireland with no way back to the hotel we were staying at. She told us the hotel would pick us up. Nope they do not. Our bus driver could not pick us up as he had met his limit on hours driving. took one taxi driver several trips to get us back. Did not get our game day tickets until the day before. Come on they are all digital now, not paper ones to hand out. my guess is she didn't even have them until then. We came from Ohio, so we did not fly out and back with the rest of the group. Some of them noticed we were treated different. she just had excuse after excuse as to why something did not happen. Then we are in a foreign country without transportation back to airport (2 hours away) until late the afternoon before we left. After she said it is handled. Then we hear her at the desk making the arrangements after she was confronted about it by my cousin. They were not made before hand as she said. The rest of the group left at 2:30 in the morning for the 4 hour drive to Dublin airport. Ireland was beautiful but would not ever book with her again. DO NOT USE THOMPSON TOURS. It will just add stress to what is supposed to be a relaxing time. read more

Shyster, worse tour agent ever! January 31, 2020 she took our $3200 deposit ($800 each) for a 13 day tour of Europe, including the Passion Play and Octoberfest. Both were canceled. She never notified us to let us know, we found out for ourselves. In June I repeatedly tried to contact her (texts, emails and at least 30+ phone messages on 3 different phones) to cancel our trip within the 90 days of the full refund time. Finally June 17th received a text that said "I got your messages. I'm actually home got test for coronavirus really sick i will request all refunds back it'll take a little bit but I will get back to you" I responded: "Ok hope you feel better soon." That was the last time I ever heard from her. I left probably over a 100 voice messages, texts, emails, plus I stopped at her office numerous times (the door is always locked and no one will answer). I've also begged her for a cancelation notice on her letterhead requested by the travel insurance to put a hold on our travel insurance, so we could use it in the future. We stand to loose $1100+ if she doesn't give us this cancelation notice. It is now October 29th and still no refund, no return calls - NOTHING! Friends who book tours to Alaska, Greece and Aruba have all received full refunds already. I can't even get a phone call from her, or a cancellation notice on her letterhead. read more

This the most disorganized tour company that I have ever used! Not only are they disorganized, they seem to have no contingency plans for problems the come up during the tour. Time schedules are not adhered to and no apologies are ever offered. Their costs are lower than comparable tours. Beware, you get what you pay for....or less. This was the first and certainly last time I will use this "agency". Eileen, the owner, was so eager to do anything to make us happy, until she got my money. After that, she did not return a single phone call or email. All she did was book through Apple Vacations. So anytime I had a question, I couldn't get an answer from her, and Apple told me I had to ask the agent I booked with. Everyone in her office is just so useless. When my wife went there to talk with her about important issues, she told her she has to make an appointment. But you can't because she never returns your calls. We found out at the airport that our seats should have been assigned when the trip was booked. So our family of 5 were assigned single seats all over the plane, including my 2 sons who are 12 and 13 years old. They were so nervous sitting with strangers that my 12 year old vomited as soon as the plane left the ground on the way down and had to rely on strangers to help him get cleaned up. It was the same with our baggage. They could have been prepaid at time of booking and saved 50%. It costs my an additional $400 because she didn't or couldn't do that because she booked through Apple. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this "business". Save money and a lot of aggravation and just go with a bigger, more reputable company. Obviously I would NEVER recommend her to anyone, unless you need a stress test and don't have health insurance . read more
