I recently had Thompson's come over to clean my area rug, the two boys came over and did a fantastic job for me. I appreciate that Thompson didn't consider the job to small to do. The communication with Karen was an absolutely heaven sent and spot on so nice nice to have that interaction. The boys called ahead and arrived right on schedule. I highly recommend. It is a family operation and they are very professional and knowledgeable about tile floors and carpet. They steam cleaned my tile flooring, sealed the grout and cleaned my carpets. I would use them again. We have several room-sized wool rugs from India that we've owned since 2001, and while we vacuum them regularly, we've never had them professionally cleaned. Thompson's came out to estimate the job... an estimate that was lower than the local competition. They picked up the rugs, and delivered them back to us as promised, including putting the furniture back on them. Best of all, the rugs are like new! Excellent work. We needed to have a 6x8moderately soiled rug cleaned, and had difficulty finding a place that could help us. Based on a recommendation from another dry cleaning store, we went to Thompsons. A broken plumbing fixture on the third floor of a friend's, less than one year old, building and the subsequent fresh water flood, on the Saturday of this labor day weekend, had Mark,owner of Thompson's Steam Way on property doing immediate recovery. As a volunteer laborer, and loving to swing a hammer, I worked in some seriously water damaged areas , that were quickly controlled, "demo'd" and dried in a process that insures no mold grown, then returned to a completely "dry" state. Including multiple floors of carpet, padding, drywall,ceiling,and walls. In Business in the area for 17 years, giving a "spots come back....we come back" and money back guarantee are good business policies, and the staff was polite, knowledgeable and stayed until the site was managed. I wanted to leave a 5-star review, but I can't. I used this company on the recommendation of others. The work seemed good, if a tad expensive, and I tipped very nicely. But the card says, "if spots come back--we come back". No, not really. After the carpet dried, several noticeable spots came back. I called, they said they'd call me back with a time for re-treat, and they did not. A week later, I called them (!), and now I find I'm somewhere on the list. New customers apparently are more important than those who have already paid. No worries--I won't be using them again, nor can I recommend them. Do yourself a favor and find another company. read more

We are new to the area and had some wool rugs that needed a cleaning after being left by the previous owner. These gents showed up on time, with a smile. Very conscientious and reasonably priced. We then hired them to come back to clean and seal tile and stone floors. They couldn't have worked harder. They even took apart a built in couch to clean behind it because they saw a few cob webs... wish I could give them 10 stars. We recommend them highly.
