Needless to say, I was not looking forward to surgery day. Day of surgery, Dr Wang made sure to walk me through all the prep before putting me under (even used a topical numbing spray so I didn't feel the IV!) I'm now 7 days post-op and didn't need anything stronger than ibuprofen to get me through. No nerve or sinus damage, no additional TMJ pain...not sure Id be able to say that had I seen a less skilled surgeon. Specifically, it would be helpful if this office were more thorough in their guidance of what to do after. We were given a syringe and just told to use it to clean the space out. They didn't say when, how to do it, etc. The little pamphlet with guidance on what one can eat and when was vague too. Other oral surgeon locations have a more specific day 1-3 regime. The one we got made it seem some more solid were OK almost right away, though we didn't do that. The family member with the extraction ended up with an infection and they just prescribed meds over the phone and didn't want to have them come in. With our medical doc, they want to see before prescribing antibiotics so that felt a little off but maybe that is normal for other offices. The infection came back again so eventually the family member was seen and they had to reopen and clean out and do another round of medication. It feels maybe the 3rd visit could have been avoided if they saw and cleaned out the area the first time we called about an infection.

When I found this dentist office, they were a godsend. I have been seen for a few years now…read more however they have VERY high turnover. You get someone great, then your next visit they no longer work there. I have seen dentists that are no longer there. I have seen hygienist who have come and gone. the best one by far is no longer there. They have a new policy where you have to verbally confirm your appointment or they will cancel you. the office staff just continue to get more rude. It's unfortunate because my entire family has gone there even my children. We have spent thousands of dollars in this office and the care was amazing. I don't know why it's such a terrible place to work that no one stays. I will be looking for a new dentist office for myself and my children.

Outstanding experience with Dr. Du and his office staff. I had to have tooth #12 extracted and…read morebone grafted. I had put it off for a little over a year and finally resigned to having it pulled and grafted for an implant. When I finally decided to have it pulled, I scheduled it out later in the year in order to get the most benefit from my insurance. I did have some out of pocket expense, and in the 8 or so months before the procedure, I had called Dr. Du's office to get some clarify on what monies would be due and when. The two or three times I talked to his staff, they were incredibly helpful and walked me through the process and timing with patience and clarity. A few days before the extraction, Dr Du's office called in scripts for relaxation during the procedure, pain post op and to stave off any infection. The scripts arrived a few days before my procedure so I would be ready to go on extraction day. I was completely blown away at how quick and easy Dr Du extracted the tooth, and I felt absolutely NOTHING during the procedure, and post op. I followed their directions and recommendations to keep the any swelling down and to keep from getting an infection and had zero issues. No pain or swelling whatsoever. I am now a little over a month post op and just waiting for the bone graft to do its thing to have the implant installed next year. I very highly recommend Dr. Du. He and his staff are top notch! You will be in good hands!

Dr. Jensen is professional, amazing, and soft-spoken; he explained everything clearly and answered every question we had regarding the procedure. The efficiency was incredible--he removed two fully erupted top wisdom teeth and two horizontal impacted ones in less than 40 minutes under general anesthesia. The recovery was just as smooth; my son was pain-free by the second day using the provided ice pack and post-op instructions. The prescription was sent directly to the pharmacy, making the whole process seamless. His recovery was so fast that he was able to attend his first year of college just three days after surgery! I also loved the office layout, which includes a discreet side door to wheel patients out to the car. Tarah, the receptionist, was a pleasure to deal with and clearly explained our insurance coverage. I've also had the pleasure to deal with Nora (over the phone) and she was a sweetheart. Upon returning from my trip, I scheduled an emergency appointment with Luc Dental Care. An x-ray confirmed a large cavity in my wisdom tooth. I was immediately referred to Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists for a tooth extraction. I spoke with a friendly representative at Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists who was able to schedule a next day consultation and oral surgery. The following day I arrived to a group of friendly employees at the front desk that greeted me. Since I filled out the intake form prior to the appointment, I was only seated for two minutes before being ushered to the back. An employee took my blood pressure, administered an x-ray, and informed me that the surgeon would be with me shortly. Shortly after Dr. Fries entered the room and introduced himself. He gave me an overview of the procedure that would be conducted, asked if I had any questions, and then started a short video that informed me about post-extraction care. After the video concluded, I was ushered to another room where Dr. Fries and an employee began administering the local anesthesia. Roughly 10 minutes later, after confirming that the anesthesia had kicked in, Dr Fries began the procedure. Throughout the procedure Dr. Fries and the employee did a great job of communicating what was happening (the wisdom tooth was very stubborn in coming out) and verifying that I was not in pain (although there was slight discomfort). Three days later, strictly following the post-extraction rules, I have no pain (thankfully)...thank you Dr. Fries and the rest of the Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists team!

Unbelievable. We've been to many dentist offices in San Francisco and never -ever- had an…read moreexperience like we did at Dr. Tran's office. 1. In November 2021, Dr. Tran determined my husband needed a crown to cover a root canal (reason we schedule the appt) and 2 fillings. Dr. Tran said that he needed a cleaning first. Fine. 2. In January 2022, he had the cleaning. He was told he had to wait weeks before doing the work. Fine. 3. Today, February 2022, he shows up only to find out they were going to the fillings. Fine. 4. Dr. Tran CHANGES her mind to not do the fillings and to do the crown because she doesn't want us to pay more. Not fine. 5. We find out that they didn't authorize insurance approval for the crown, even though we were told he was approved for all of it in January. 6. Now we're going to have to wait weeks for approval for the crown. Dr. Tran, you should not be worrying how much we are going to pay. Let patients worry about that. The concern and priority should be about the teeth! We've doing the song and dance since it's November. How can you feel good about putting a patient through this? And how can you tell the front desk to only put the approvals through for the 2 fillings and not the crown? That does not make sense when the reason we scheduled the appt back in November was for the crown. I guess if you need routine care like teeth cleaning, then this practice is okay. If you need specialized work, then seek other practices who are more competent. Not just nice.
