This place is stunning!! The architecture is stunning and with nature wrapping itself all around the grounds it's breathtakingly beautiful.

Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, AR was very cool. My aunt's sister tried to tell me that the Anthony Chapel in Hot Springs was a replica. I wasn't having it then, but didn't argue with her because she's one of those people who always thinks they're right. I am not having it now either since I have visited both chapels. Thorncrown is also predominately a glass chapel, however, it seats only 100 guests and has a cooler tone in its beams and seems much more rustic compared to the Anthony counterpart. Parking was free. Entry was free. The lady inside was very nice to my daughters while I stayed outside with our dog. It is slightly tricky to find from the winding highway, but on July 24, 2025 it was a divine treat for our eyes - busy too at approximately 9 AM. I bet it's even more breathtaking in the fall. Highly recommend.

5-star architecture designed by Fay Jones (who the architecture school at U-Arkansas is named for). When sitting inside, it truly looks like you can walk out the back - right into the mountains - yet it is really just clear glass. Good place for a roughly 10-minute stop to take it in and read the background. No trails around to see from different angles. Not someplace you'd go for a long time, unless you're into praying or meditating for a while there.

If you are in the area, you shouldn't miss this. Beautiful and peaceful. No admission fee, but donations accepted.

If you're able to visit on a Sunday make sure to plan you're visit to be able to attend on of their Sunday services! Double check their website for the service times, but they are so beautiful and the acoustics that match the beautiful atmosphere just go hand in hand. Once in a lifetime!

Worship Center, another beautiful building on the property worth seeing, even if you can't go in it.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Sitting inside was completely surreal. The woman working inside, greeting people was extremely friendly and happy to chat about the chapel. The path to the chapel is on the north side of the parking lot. Hidden from the west side of the parking lot down some stairs is another building, signs note as the Worship Center, which was closed while we were there, but we're glad we stopped to see it as it's also beautiful. They do close the gate until 9 AM, so don't think you can park early and walk the grounds like we did.

I had been here before there was Yelp and now I'm back. It hasn't changed. It is still magical and beautiful. It is amazing that something like this can be designed and built. It is beyond stunning. Designed by an apprentice of the great Franky Lloyd Wright, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. That's a big deal because buildings have to be 50 years old to get that status. Deservedly so, it's a beautiful church. Entry is free though a donations are requested. Photographers are also requested to be respectful of other guests and only take pictures while seated - it is an active place of worship. [Review 19809 overall - 285 in Arkansas - 782 of 2023.]

The chapel nestled in the woods of the Ozarks is very serene. They have a parking lot and are open daily for visitors to stop in. They do suggest a donation and give printed information packs to everyone who comes in. The chapel is very peaceful and has soft music playing. The architecture is very compelling and it's nice to sit and take it in

Beautiful place to worship on Sunday morning! Wonderful pianist who led us in worship . Pastor is the son of the visionary man who created this!

Beautiful! We visited on a rainy day. Upon stepping into the chapel, a person sits inside and gives out a brochure and invites you to sit in the chapel. There is also a table with a few books to purchase and a donation box to help with maintenance costs of the chapel. Bring cash if you'd like to donate. The structure is gorgeous - and is such a peaceful space. The website does say to go earlier in the day because they close the site for weddings. We headed there before lunch on a Saturday morning and were able to go in. Later in the day when we drove by (around 2pm), it was closed for a private event. Keep that in mind when planning your day. Thanks

Just stunning. Great short stop to see something absolutely beautiful. Great location for wedding as it has a good amount of parking, beautiful was up on level ground and the chapel is just remarkable. We have seen the one in KC but thought why not see another. Every time it's beautiful.

Very pretty. It's a build by a Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice. You can tell the Frank Lloyd Wright influence.

Beautiful building in the woods. You don't need to be religious to appreciate the architecture and setting.

Not a religious person, but the architecture makes it a mandatory stop. This place is a spectacular sight. Very impressive

It was quite irritating to have to stop at the gate. I already knew it was free entry, but an older women practically stepped out in front of my Jeep. She was nice, but she didn't provide us with hardly any info after rambling on about everything except why we were there. Then she shoved a flyer at me, asked us where we were from, and said a donation would be cool. About the area to leading to the statue... By the time we got to Eureka Springs on 7.23.2025 it was so hot already. I tried my best to keep my dog on cooler grounds, but she ran on the hot pavement anyway. It is a short walk to the statue and a nice lookout area. I suggest everyone go on more walkabouts and contemplate their relationship with Jesus. Public restrooms were available, but not all that clean. Wheelchairs were available to borrow, but come on... you can muster the strength to walk to Jesus... Completed in 1966, this gleaming white statue stands at seven-stories tall. There was an informational sign on Jesus's back side. Dogs were not allowed at The Great Passion Play, so that was a big no for us even if they had a showing. We did not peruse any shops near the gate. Everything seemed too commercialized for my taste. I dedicate this review to my Aunt Dena who died today (8.27.2025) after an 8-year battle with cancer. RIP precious lady!

I found the way this is set up on the map to be confusing…read more We went to see the statue - yet found out that there's an entrance gate about 1/4 mile from it at "The Great Passion Play Sign" and everything beyond that is part of a big complex including the statue itself, a holy land tour, a bible museum, a sacred heart building, a chapel, and a section of the Berlin Wall. There was a huge outdoor area seating around 4,000 for a "Passion Play". There was also a gift shop, and many hiking trails. Didn't expect that. People that worked there were very friendly. I see it as a very good cause - ideal for evangelical types; yet can easily fit others.
