A large selection of coffees and drinks. You might want to pick up one of their breakfast sandwiches which are fresh made in the store. Sausage, egg or bacon. Also, their hot dogs are a tasty treat when stopping for gas. Don't forget slushees and a great selection of chips and candy. You should sign up for the customer loyalty program. The Thortons on York Rd Elmhurst has the most disgusting pump premises anywhere in the Chicago Suburbs. The diesel pumps are caked with grease, the concrete and asphalt is soaked with overspray from the pumps that the EPA should investigate the soil around this property. Absolutely disgusting to walk or touch anything on this property. if you're going to leave the pumps this greasy at least spend a couple of dollars to stock the paper towel holders. read more

Customer service here sucks. Today I stopped for gas. I told the cashier that I was running late to an appointment. Instead of ringing me up, she stopped what she was doing so she could help get lottery tickets for another customer at a different register. Why the other cashier didn't get the tickets herself is beyond me. Also, when there's 2 or 3 registers open, everyone stands in one long line instead of standing in line at each register. I've also seen employees ignore customers when there is a long line. Can they jump on a register to help? I'm done with this place. read more

Stopped in and bought $79.99 worth of gas while paying with my debit card. I then went home, about 45 minutes later the cops show up, they said Thorntons said I filled up and drove off. I had to print the bank transaction to prove I paid. I then took the transaction receipt to the Thorntons manager. I asked if she had a drive off, she confirmed they did. She said "someone came in and pumped $42.16 worth of gas" and drove off. These idiots wrote down my license plate number and said I did it. So far this station has had the best prices around! Really convenient next to stores and in between a few towns were I run errands. Add to that, they usually have deals on energy drinks and goodies so it's really a one stop shop! I won't expect a warm welcome and big smiles but everything else gets em a solid 4 Star rating! read more

Well-equipped store, as much variety and choice as a 7-11. The station as a whole is nicely constructed and looks great from the outside. It can be hard to exit the station, if you want to go north on York. Maybe the city didn't want them putting an entrance/exit on Grand? Putting one there would help stop people from making unsafe attempts to get onto York, after getting tired of waiting, though. The employees started out strong. Friendly and always in position by the register. Now though, if you go in late, it looks like no one's around. You stand around waiting to pay until somebody comes out from somewhere. And there's one super unfriendly woman working there late who, let's just say ain't a people-person. Then again, if she's the only one there late at night I don't blame her for being pissed. That seems unsafe to me, and not fair to her. read more
