We found Tesuque Glassworks on line before our last trip to Santa Fe. David Shanfield responded…read morequickly to my emails and we booked a two hour session for my husband and me. David is a wonderful instructor, so patient and educational. We got to create what we wanted, a plate/bowl and a vase. David is so skilled in using colors and shapes. You actually get to do more hands on with his lessons. We really came to appreciate this ancient artform and how difficult it can be with precise timing, heavy glass handling and the hot ovens. Our glass pieces turned out great and we look forward to coming back to Santa Fe and creating something fun.

There's no place to sit and relax out there (intentional, as I'm sure else no one would want to leave), but it's really worth walking around (it's not huge and doesn't take long to walk around all of it - except for me since I dawdled because it was so lovely). OK, so I'm admittedly not an art gallery person (The Hubs is), however, I did like this gallery. They had a nice variety of different art media (medium?) that I actually found interesting. I'd definitely come here again. The art was very good, but the garden absolutely made my day.
