Drue removed the railroad ties and installed a stone wall to line the patio. It was done really well, so we hired them again this year for a larger project. Our back yard has a slope of nearly 30 degrees and was covered with grass that needed constant attention. We hired Drue to install two 100 foot long stone walls to terrace the upper portion of the yard, remove invasive English ivy, and regrade to remove all the existing grass. They also removed several overgrown trees and a dead tree and installed new plants. This was a really big job that took three weeks to complete. We are extremely happy with the result. They were hired to renovate three small garden beds with plants/flowers and their proper placement, etc. Their terms and my requests were discussed and a date was set up. On that day I noticed that things were not going as planned. Some plants that I had no previous knowledge of were brought out and planted where they thought they should be. Numerous shade plants were planted in the sun but I was assured they would survive. Plants that I already had were removed, divided and placed without clearing it with me. No list of plantings and placement were given and no care plan was mentioned. I requested same a few days later, which took quite a while to receive. Their final statement was $400+ over the estimate, explaining that the original plants were not available and so they substituted different ones without giving me the chance to decide whether I approved the changes. After only a few days some plants appeared weak and unhealthy and I was told it was either due to under/over watering. They replaced three eventually. Soon more plants appeared sickly. They were informed, and it was implied they had been overwatered. Lack of communication was very frustrating with this company. I do not recommend them.
