Brendan had done an outstanding job of maintaining the property. This includes not just mowing and edging, but tending the flower beds, deadheading, trimming shrubs, trouble shooting sick plants, trimming tree branches, blowing all the leaves back into the woods. He has provided very reasonable and timely services. He is also very good at sharing knowledge to where I have gotten comfortable planning changes for the future. We have just completed planting 8 dozen new spring bulbs - tulips, iris, hyacinths, and the next project will be laying down several pallets of flagstone to give me walking paths in the garden. Plus Doug indicated that if their treatment of the large Holly tree didn't work (they prefer saving distressed trees), that the fee paid would go toward cutting it down. Wow! Doug was always friendly and in great communication, and by the end, he advised me on several other trees around the property, at no extra charge. Really loved them when I was able to get on the reoccurring maintenance schedule. But they lied to…read moreme and said they weren't offering that service anymore even though they do my neighbors yard. They said they only offered big 4 hr cleanups. I said ok. The day comes, it's not the company I hired it's some independent landscaping contractor who gets there late and leaves early. I reached out to the company to say hey I don't think I should have to pay for this full time when they got here late, left early and the yard is still messy. They tell me that they arrived on time, that some time is reduced because the contractor has to pick up the equipment and that he was there the entire time. I work from home I can see and hear when the yard work is being done. I can say that the contractor did spend 20 min with a leaf blower in the corner of my driveway blowing air at literally nothing. The backyard was cut down with the clippings left to sit on top of what was cut, the front yard wasn't touched. If you can get the actual company they do five star work if they get you a contractor run. They won't believe you and they will charge you for half ass work.

Gwen, Alyssa, Jenna, and Jess are four of the most knowledgeable and hardworking people I've ever met. They were hired to renovate three small garden beds with plants/flowers and their proper placement, etc. Their terms and my requests were discussed and a date was set up. On that day I noticed that things were not going as planned. Some plants that I had no previous knowledge of were brought out and planted where they thought they should be. Numerous shade plants were planted in the sun but I was assured they would survive. Plants that I already had were removed, divided and placed without clearing it with me. No list of plantings and placement were given and no care plan was mentioned. I requested same a few days later, which took quite a while to receive. Their final statement was $400+ over the estimate, explaining that the original plants were not available and so they substituted different ones without giving me the chance to decide whether I approved the changes. After only a few days some plants appeared weak and unhealthy and I was told it was either due to under/over watering. They replaced three eventually. Soon more plants appeared sickly. They were informed, and it was implied they had been overwatered. Lack of communication was very frustrating with this company. I do not recommend them.

No big problem, things happen, I understand. Two days later they resume and complete taking the tree down. However, they didn't remove the two trunks until days later. Also, the lawn was unnecessarily damaged by his backhoe carrying branches unnecessarily over large stretches of my lawn instead of utilizing the driveway nearby. They also dropped many logs onto my lawn resulting in many holes or divets that needed to be repaired by me. However, the worst part was the stump removal, or I should say lack thereof. I've included photos of what Brian repeatedly said was a sufficient removal of the stump. You be the judge. I didn't see this initially because the whole area was covered in stump grindings and assumed the stump underneath was gone. Brian is a smooth talker who will promise everything and deliver very little.

I appreciate that they got the tree down w/o hitting the house. There were just too many issues. I removed the fence, minus the posts, due to being concreted in. They bent two posts and completely knocked one out. Damaged a fence cap next to the house. I asked them to leave 8' of the tree. I am a woodworker and the tree was in the perfect spot to carve the remaining trunk. Nope! I went in for lunch and came out to a huge wedge cut out at the base of the tree. The whole tree had to be cut down. The boss apologized. The whole tree had to be cut down. No offer to grind the stump for failure to follow instructions. I don't smoke and I despise picking up other people's cigarette butts. They were all over. The truck they had leaked oil all over the driveway. They kicked the rocks around to try to hide the oil. I asked to keep half of the mulch. Before I could tell them to stop the whole truck was dumped. They tossed a large amount of branches and pine needles on to the adjoining property. I am sure I will be hearing about it from the property owners. Be aware that you will have a hard time contacting them. Don't answer phone and you can't leave a message. The worst part... they still wanted me to pay the same amount. No offer of compensation. Got a little bit of attitude too.
