It's a boon to the area to support visual arts, so this scrappy nonprofit helps promote the arts scene locally. Their present locale in the Janss Marketplace is a modest space, blessed with natural light on two sides. Dear Hubby and I stopped in over a month ago, while walking the Marketplace for exercise, plus running a couple errands. Stepping inside, we were greeted by the staff member watching the facility. She offered assistance / information on the works on display. Later she offered information on upcoming events. We also discussed the status of the Thousand Oaks Art Walk, a signature event that the museum had sponsored for many years. It has sadly gone by the wayside, leaving a hole In the local events scene. I suppose that had it survived, it would have been canceled this year, due to Coronavirus. Once general life starts to return to a new normal, I hope that this organization will be able to continue their mission to celebrate local artists.

Another charitable group gathered there to introduce mothers and daughters to options for places they can volunteer over the next six years to fulfill their goals. While I waited for my turn to speak, I checked out the large main room, filled with bright, colorful art projects. Mostly paintings were featured, since they're easy to hang. Still, I could see that other types of art mediums are taught. My understanding is that this is a popular destination for kids' birthday parties, though I could see it as a gal pals' get-together spot, too. I hadn't heard of them before being given the address to come for the event. I was really impressed with finding such a fun, inspiring resource in the community for artists of all ages to release their creative juices.

I came for a gala event over the weekend where they rented this space and was excited to check it out. There is plenty of parking as they have their own lot and we also were fine with parking across the street in the free two hour parking spots. The art center is small but a great way to see local art and pottery. They do have single stalls bathrooms inside the studio which is appreciated. It also looked like in one room they had jewelry for sale but I didn't give it a proper look as I was more focused on the artwork and decor. The reason for the docked star is simply because we wandered in as a part of an event that had rented the space and thus there wasn't a whole lot of art on display. What appeared to be up is their around the year collectibles and some small art work pieces. It's definitely better to plan ahead to come here when they are actually running an art exhibit or have an event specific to the art center. At least we got to check it out and have an idea about the space now. Very cool to have a place like this in Camarillo and eager to check them out again in the future so I can leave an updated review.

I didn't have my phone or wallet with me, but went into Tree Lounge and asked the young barista if he wouldn't mind giving me a water cup. He was such a friendly guy, helping me like I was a paying customer. He didn't have to be as accommodating! I went back after my run to thank him, and get a cup of coffee. I'll definitely keep coming in when I get to Camarillo, as I often do. I'll also check out the gallery and performances!

Pretty frustrating experience this morning. My wife put in a door dash order for my favorite coffee…read morelast night for my birthday. It was set to be delivered this morning. Order went through no problem. Trouble started this morning when my wife received a message from the driver that Tree Lounge doesn't have the order (first screenshot). My wife looks and sees she received a cancellation text for the order 1 minute after the driver's message (second screenshot). From the outside this looks like the driver walked in, asked for the order, they said they didn't have it and then cancelled it. So, my wife called Tree Lounge to see what is going on and was told that they cancelled the order because they were "in the middle of their rush". It's easy to see how poorly this situation was handled in general, but also clear no one checked online orders to prep the work for the morning. This order shouldn't be a surprise and the choice to just blind cancel it instead of making it because of what equates to "we're busy" is pretty bad. Takes a lot for me to leave a review. If you don't want to process online order during your rush then set those hours up in door dash. If you screwed up and just didn't check your online orders in the morning, then just make the drink as the next up order. The Lobster was tasteless, no flavor for over 50 dollars one would think they would have a great seafod source, um but nope youd be wrong...The noodles were ok. My friend had the Scallops and shredded duck, and some kind of potato dish... it couldn't have been any more bland if the tried, seriously rediculous. Maybe the cheap food is good there. Ambiance nothing to speak of.
