I went online and found A-Team Mobile Mechanics and reached out to them. It is a new company. Long story short Jimmy Abshure came out and got my CJ7 fixed in short order. He was prepared and very capable. Not necessarily cheaper than everyone else but I got what I paid for - good work. I will use him for all of my vehicle maintenance from now on.

He recently visited Dan's Whetstone website (http://www.danswhetstone.com/), but wanted to visit the business in person to see if he could get larger whetstones than what's sold to the public to sharpen his larger knives. At the time, two addresses popped up on the Internet, one in Hot Springs and another address in Pearcy. We went to the Hot Springs address first which accepts deliveries, and there was a sign on the door with the Pearcy address. Since I knew where I was going I headed west on Hwy 70 and banged a left up a narrow gravel road (Hilltop Road) about a mile to Dan's Whetstone on the right side, a warehouse building. We walked inside the building and the warehouse was filled with lots of whetstones. We were greeted by an employee who went back and got Danny the owner to help my Dad out. My Dad brought a couple knives with him to test out on several sizes and types of whetstones (coarse to fine). Danny was friendly and very knowledgeable and answered my Dad's questions. Some of the whetstones were imperfect with minor blemishes, so significant discounts were given off the list price. My Dad is very happy with the whetstones he uses to sharpen his knife collection. I wanted a rusty metal look and he researched how to achieve this look. Turned out so great!!! He also did custom security bars on a work shed and even built custom cages around our fuel talks to help prevent theft. Inside our cabin, he made a custom fireplace screen. Lastly, he built us a really cool log holder based on a photo we took at a restaurant in Dallas. AMAZING work on all jobs. Fairly priced. Just a good guy that is honest and has a super talented team. Not the quality of workmanship I was looking for…read more I was referred to Burke's by another upholstery shop because they would not be able to get to my interior in a acceptable amount of time. I called him and made sure he would be there if I drove over since it is about 60 miles one way. His shop is located on his property out in the country, I don't mind that but if you go there with a trailer he has no room to turn anything around. We discussed the upholstery and I left the parts. He said that it would be a couple of months. He met the deadline however there were some wrinkles. Rick called me and said he had the front and rear seat done and that I need to pick them up because he didn't have room to keep them and he couldn't move the front seat off the table. I agreed and drove over there to pick them up. I questioned the lines of the pleats and he said it will settle and line up. I disagree but I knew I had no recourse with him. He said that the door panels would be a couple more weeks and he called me and said they were done. I drove over there the next morning and picked them up. Again, I wasn't impressed with the craftsmanship but took them thinking I had all parts. I drove back about 30 miles when he called and said he forgot to give me two pieces. I asked him to ship them to me and he said he didn't have a box. If I made a mistake I would go out of my way to make it right. He was paid in full and probably couldn't care less. I ended up making another trip to retrieve the remaining pieces. Now, Burkes's may be capable of recovering furniture or boats but I cannot recommend him to recover a classic car. I had it painted and some custom work done and to see this interior has made me sick. I would not utilize his services again given his work on this project. I have already decided to wait some time and have the entire interior redone. I will definately take more precautions to prevent this disappointment.
