Two technicians spent the better part of a half an hour walking my girlfriend and I through the different brake component technologies on the market. It was wonderful at the end of our walk-through to find that they "solved" my girlfriend's braking problem by making some adjustments to her existing components and reassuring her about the integrity and capability of the existing brake set. They matched her to some good bike shorts (a HARD sell for a new female cyclist) and a sharp looking safe helmet, and they helped me find the right pedal set for my needs as well as a good pair of recessed bike shoes. I think that the bike that they helped me with is going to become my permanent Wahoo Kickr setup--it's seen enough abuse and crashes. When the time comes to upgrade to a real road machine I know where I will go in Richmond.
