I took Dr. Threats 12-week co-parenting class and must admit I wasn't excited about participating in this class but had no other choice but to attend because it was court ordered - so I went into it openminded. I didn't think this was a class I needed as I consider myself mentally strong but more importantly have an excellent co-parenting relationship with my oldest son's mother and was fully aware what a positive co-parenting relationship should/could look like. Needless to say, I changed my opinion early on and now believe all parents should take this class regardless of their situation as Dr. Threats does a great job showing you there can be different perceptions other than your own and that is okay. She may seem direct and it might even feel like she is spinning your words to prove a point, but if you are open to truly doing what is best for your child, she is really just helping you see things from a different perspective to help improve communication with somebody who has a different thought process than your own. I believe we all realize how important the early stages of our child's development are but Dr. Threats does a great job emphasizing this and made me realize the impact is even far greater and starts way earlier than I realized. Her approach to getting this point across is what I respected and liked the most about the class. She does a phenomenal job delivering this message - everybody has their own "45" that is developed in the early years and how our child's "45" is shaped has so much to do with how we communicate as parents. This class truly helps you understand the importance of communicating positively with the other parent but more importantly helps you understand how to communicate more effectively with your co-parent. Again, I believe everybody should attend this class as I truly believe it can make a huge difference in a child's life and even help in different areas of our own lives. If I could give advice to anybody looking to take this class, it would be to go to the class with an open mind and focus on what you can takeaway from the class without worrying about what the other parent is getting from the class. Trust me, there will be times you feel the other parent should certainly be listening as you may believe the subject being discussed certainly applies to them but you will get much more out of the class if you don't make it about the other parent as you can only control your thoughts and actions at the end of the day read more

My ex-wife and I officially divorced four years ago. As divorces typically go, it was not amicable at all. In the beginning, my attorney predicted that the drama would subside eventually; however, the passing of time has had no positive effect on how we resolved the conflict that ultimately arises when raising children. During the years, we both spent an excessive amount of money on attorneys to no avail, money that could instead have benefited our child. Going back to court time and time again did not help us at all; the court system only pushed us further and further apart, and co-parenting was non-existent throughout this time. During yet another mediation in which I tried to get us to co-parent, I learned about the 12-week Conflict Resolution and Parallel Parenting Program offered by Dr. Linda Rollins-Threats. I pushed for us to enroll in this program but could not reach an agreement to enter into the program. Eventually, we went to court again, and I managed to ask the judge to order us to attend this program. We recently completed the program, and I am writing this review in the hopes that someone else sees this review early on in a divorce with children. If you sincerely care about your children, my suggestion would be that you do all you can to enter this program. Go into this program with an open mind and with confidence that you will come out on the other end as a different person. Dr. Threats can't change you or your ex, but she will help you with adopting the tools that, if implemented, could improve the situation for the better for your children and you. I highly recommend this program. Going to court to solve co-parenting issues does not work and is way more expensive. Dr. Threats is the only person I could find in all of DFW that could get me and my ex talking to each other again. I wholeheartedly recommend this program! Give it a shot; it is your best bet, and your children will benefit from this. By the way, Dr. Threats could also stay on as a parenting facilitator after this program to help with any remaining issues. I am about to embark on the Parenting Facilitation journey with Dr. Threats and my ex, and I can already tell that this will be way more productive than the other Parenting Facilitator we had. read more

Dr. Linda Rollins-Threats offers a 12 week group class for high-conflict parents titled, "Conflict Resolution - Parallel Parenting Group". For some, this is a "last resort" for parents unable to effectively co-parent their children. High Conflict parents get caught up in their own hurt feelings, perceptions, issues and anger, that they are unable to see what it's doing to the children. Dr. Threats brings a practical understanding to parents in such a way that she positively impacts how parents interact with one another. The end result in my own personal experience is a 10 year old son who no longer becomes nervous at the idea of his parents being in the same vicinity, being caught in the middle, trying to shoulder and fix problems that he didn't create; didn't ask for. Our son is happier and we are better co-parents for having attended Dr. Threats class. It's work, it's not easy, but it's all worth it. This class should not be a last-resort. Instead, it should be a mandatory PROACTIVE class for any divorcing parents to safeguard the family unit. A class like this would go a long way for parents before they get caught up in years of legal disputes, therapy, disdain, etc.; leaving in its wake, lost and damaged children. One thing not to be mistaken, Dr. Threats is very thorough, keenly aware of matters without having to know all of the details; she is spot-on and is truly the best in her field. I just finished this 12 co-parenting class. I was forced to go by the court and let me tell you I was so upset about it. The 1st day I was so upset I was sick all day and then I had to sit next to the person that had abused me for 20 years and stalked me. I kept thinking how am I going to ever make it through the next 12 weeks. Once I tuned into Dr. Threats and opened my heart to the process everything changed for me. I committed and told myself I needed to keep showing up and making effort each week. I knew that I had left a toxic marriage and if I didn't make some changes then I would still be in a toxic situation. Dr. Threats is remarkable. She is not going to always tell you what you want to hear but she tells you what you need to hear. It is your job to focus on what you can change which is yourself. She teaches you to do what is best for you and your children. You have to take the emotion out and trust me that is hard for me. I hit rock bottom half way through the 12 weeks. Once I made it through that I knew I was going to be OK. Dr. Threats taught me that it was OK to grow even when others weren't truely ready and it was ok they were on a different path. I had to learn to look at people's actions and not their words and if they didn't line up that was my answer. By the last quarter of class the back and forth stopped almost completely and me and my future ex were able to co-parent in a healthy manner most of the time which is a win for both of us. Are we perfect no, but we are in a much better place than when we started. I recommend this class even if you are not mandated to go. read more

Was court ordered to take Dr Threat's Coparent class. I have to admit I did not like the idea of having to do this however i was encouraged beforehand to keep an open mind. First couple of sessions I soaked all the information in that I could. During an individual session I walked away feeling very insulted by something that she said. Later on that day I realized that I needed to hear it. I needed to change. She knew when I needed tough love and when i needed encouragement. While I felt like I was doing a good job coparenting before I wanted to be better. From then on I realized that this class was very beneficial towards my personal growth as well. That, in turn, would help me be a much greater coparent. Dr Threats engrained in me that I needed to focus on myself and not try to make it about what my ex was doing. Every class got better and better. She is very intuitive and understands how to quickly engage and personalize the class towards you as an individual while still maintaining a presence to the overall group. I was raised to be a very masculine and stoic person. While that personality does well in the rest of the world, the class taught me how to really get into my feelings and have balance so that i could improve my relationship with my kids. Seeing both negative and positive reviews tells me that the negative reviews did not learn from this class. and that the positive reviews did. very simple. Thank you Dr Threats. Over the past 12 weeks I had time to sit back and reflect on the main reason why my husband and I was ordered to attend this "Conflict Resolution- Parallel Parenting Class" administered by Dr. Linda Rollins-Threats. It was by far the best experience that I have encountered as a parent in the area of parenting instructions. So many parents are at war, and intentionally do things to hurt each other while not realizing that they are putting their kids in the crossfire. Dr. Threats helps you to understand that it is not about us as parents, but it is about our kids. I would recommend this class to everyone that decides to go through a divorce. After going through her class, chances are you will not need an attorney, because you will know how to solve conflicts on your own and effectively co-parent. Dr. Threats is about the kids and takes her job very seriously. She is our kids voice, that often goes unheard. This class has enlightened and impacted me so much until I am now enrolled to pursue my masters degree in marriage and family therapy. Truly Transformative I joined Dr. Threats' Conflict Resolution and Parallel Parenting Group concerned it would be more of the typical feelings-based course that lacks the underlying fundamentals and direct honesty needed for genuine change. I could not have been more wrong. This turned out to be one of the most insightful and eye-opening experiences I've had, where I learned a great deal about myself and how to better approach relationships and co-parenting. Dr. Threats creates a neutral, respectful space for honest conversations that are both compassionate but truthful. She clearly explained the concepts and how they apply to high-conflict situations. She stressed staying open-minded, focusing on what you can control, and taking personal responsibility. The class revealed how our childhood and past experiences shape our current behaviors, emotional triggers, and parenting style. It underscored a key truth: you cannot parent effectively until you truly understand yourself. By applying this approach, the changes I have already made have proven far more successful for me, and I believe many more people in this world need and would benefit from this class. As far as parenting facilitation goes, Linda Threats is toxic. It seems like she knows what she's talking about, but after a few sessions, you realize it's the same scripts from memory she feeds all clients- despite any and all differences in circumstance. You will also realize she deliberately creates additional conflict toward the end of each session so that you book another visit soon (banking for retirement soon.) She becomes condescending and irritable when you don't respond in the way that suits her script. She will mock you if you cry or show any emotion. She claims to want you to be introspective, but then when you are, she will rip you apart because she doesn't have the patience for it. When Linda attended university back in the day, they must not have known about narcissistic or post separation abuse, because she cannot recognize it, knows absolutely nothing about it, or simply does not care. If you present her with any topic she is not well-versed in, she will say you're being manipulative. This woman made thousands of dollars from my case, and did absolutely nothing to help. She should not be allowed to work in this field. I would sue her if I had the funds to do so. read more

Dr Threats is an example of what a healthy relationship could be. You can see how she lights up when she speaks of her husband and how she respects him. Throughout her course you will learn about yourself and how to apply different techniques to different situations. The course becomes difficult when you are constantly wanting to do what you always have been doing because it feels good to you. But if you come with an open mind you can see a new view to old situations that will reoccur. I have take her course from Jan 2023 to Mar 2023. I did not accept everything she said about me as the truth. The overall ideas I received was that you have to take care of yourself. Though she is telling you about you, you are the only one that can choose the change. At the end i she allows you to ask her a question. I asked her what I should do about learning about feels. Then I realized that I was only asking because someone else told me I had that issue. I have to accept me for who I am and decide on what I want to do with me and no one else. read more

After several years of going back and forth with the court system. The judge assigned us to Dr. Threats. I was apprehensive due to the negative reviews but let me tell you. Dr. Threats is EXCELLENT. I give all the credit to the change in the relationship between my sons mother and I to Dr. Threats. She helped us to set aside the hurt, anger and lack of trust and work towards a better relationship for the sake of our young son. He is so much happier now that we get along. I strongly recommend Dr. Linda Threats. The truth is, I didn't want to go to therapy let alone court mandated therapy. Dr. Threats made everyone feel comfortable and she taught from experience, science, care, and also the perspective of children. Her vast knowledge of how humans interact, left brain right brain, human conditioning, how our past (45) affects our present and ultimately our future (if we let), was nothing short of spectacular. I went to this class voluntarily. I had my concerns but Dr. Threats came accross as caring and extremely knowledgeable. The negative reviews are a complete SHOCK to me. People are coming in very confused, helpless and angry. Dr. Threats was able to speak to everyone's needs and hurt. I thought we were a lost cause. Years of court battles and it seemed as though we were locked in a never-ending battle. She helped us see things from our child's perspective, lower our guards and see the value in the other parent. That has made all the difference in our son's growth and development.
