The Mexican food served here is delicious, with a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes that cater to all tastes. The chips and salsa were tasty as well. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was also incredibly fast and efficient. You order and pay at the cashier, and then once your food is ready, the staff brings it out to your table. Good ambiance as well. We came around lunch time so it was quite busy and they have a number of tables inside and have a patio outside weather permitting. Ordered the shredded chicken burrito. I asked for extra hot sauce. Boy did I strike a nerve. The girl behind the counter says loudly, "there's hot sauce already in the burrito... but if you want hotter there's all the bottles of hot sauce over there. The burrito on a wheat tortilla tasted terrible and lacked flavor. When the waitress brought out the tater tots she said, "the tater tots are very hot." Yet, I had no fork to eat then with. Pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food at "three Gringos Mexican Grill" in Langford was today. The 3 young ladies, millennials in their 20's, did a terrific job of making our delicious lunch. The counter service was quick and easy, as the gal was attentive and polite as we gave her our orders. The one who brought our food to our table was equally as friendly. I was looking for a simple Mexican restaurant but with lots of good food for gringos and that's exacly what I've found in threes gringos. It's excellent food and the good decoration takes you to a local mexican taqueria. I went to a local restaurant in Guadalajara last year and the chairs and tables looks exactly like this restaurant. I will come back as it's cheap and delicious and has everything you could ask for a Mexican restaurant. The chicken wrap and burrito were delicious. And the staff are very friendly. Great little Mexican joint in the burbs. Came here for dinner tonight while visiting Victoria to play a concert. Read about it in Eat magazine. Very authentic experience down to the colourful chairs and artwork. Food is delicious. When in the restaurant you have to pre-pay for an order which is not ideal but the food is worth it. It is apparent that they do a lot of takeout orders by the amount of bags waiting for pick up and people coming and going. Not romantic but good food. read more

Don't be mistaken by the 3 star review, this place has flavour and the price you can't go wrong. I was very happy with the burrito. There was a generous amount of meat and toppings! My two negatives I would say is the burrito could have been cooked a few more seconds/minutes for a more cooked taste, and the Lexi spudz didn't have much flavour. Maybe some flavour in the breading or some more jalapeños. Just tasted like a cheese ball. Some may like that but wasn't for me. I still recommend this place ! read more

A very vibrant and colorful restaurant situated in a plaza with plenty of free parking. There is also outdoor seating. The staff were very friendly when we came in for an early dinner. The menu was on a huge board at the front of the restaurant. There was a nice variety of items to choose from. We all ordered burritos and one taco. We also noticed there was a happy hour so we got some drinks too. The burritos came out pretty quick. Basically meat, beans, lettuce, cheese, onions and salsa on a flour tortilla. The meat in the chicken and pork ones was tender and shredded and there was a good amount of it. The ground beef one was very flavorful and tasty. I don't think I should have had sour cream and avocado on the beef one because it was too mushy. There was no rice in the burritos. The taco was delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Staff may be young but they enjoy their work and it shows in the food. Lots made fresh in-house including the salsa and chips. The burrito was a good and hearty meal. Not west coast-style like other places with trendy tacos and seafood options etc, but food like seven-layer dip, chimichangas, enchiladas and burritos are more homestyle messy with lots of cheese and sauce. I had a craving for Mexican food yesterday and stopped in for lunch. We had ordered the rice and bean bowl with pork and a chicken taco. The portions were great and flavors were tasty. The rice and bean bowl is more of a chili rather than rice and beans. It is very soupy with the different sauces and they give you plenty of chips to dip into it. I'm not sure I would get this again, but not because of flavor. The flavor was great, but I was looking for something not as wet. My colleague enjoyed his burrito and ate it in just a few minutes! My first time eating here, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. Many other inexpensive Mexican joints cram as much grease and salt into the food as they can, as humans instinctively are drawn to that. But at Three Gringos, the flavours shine through from the quality ingredients, well prepared. I had a pork burrito and it was delicious. Tasted like home cooking. And I loved the *slightly* toasted whole wheat wrap. I was surprised when I finished and the bottom of my foil-wrapper was not coated with orange grease (as you often get in pulled pork), but merely with a little bit of the water-based hot sauce I asked for. Pending review very bad, stay away first time visiting Three Gringos and will not return. Went in to order and went over it carefully with guy at cash register. I asked what was on a cheese enchilada plate. he showed me photo of an enchilada with chips, a corn salad etc. Then ordered a second cheese enchilada. And then ordered two chicken enchiladas and was told this just the same as the other order, with an enchilada with chicken and all the stuff in the photo. I also asked about beans and rice side orders and was encourage to uy two of those. I also ordered and medium guacamole.We have chips at home. I went out and waited. When I got it they were just closing. I got in the car and went home 3-4 km away. When I unpacked it, I was a little angry. The main enchilada container (one per order) contained the enchiladas with cheese and onion topping it all. NO CHIPS, CORN SALAD OR ENCHILADA SAUCE. Also included was a side of beans and rice. I opened the other order and the same thing - NO CHIPS, CORN SALAD OR ENCHILADA SAUCE. The flavour of the chicken was OK at best, but no bite of heat or pepper etc.Cheese enchiladas the same, according to my wife. we have eaten Mexican food all over North America - good and bad. Guess how this is rated? The real corker was the MEDIUM side of guacamole. What we got was a plastic container the size of a half dollar and not very deep at all. AND FOR $8. THE ENTIRE MEAL WAS SUBSTANTIAL DISAPPOINTMENT. We will not return and will advise against it. Okay here is why the 5 star. They have the best Margaritas in the CRD! We go for the amazing food but can rarely resist those amazing concoctions that help us hold on! (Sorry Jimmy Buffett). While the staff was friendly and outgoing, the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the beef taco. It came with what I thought was NO cheese. After picking it apart I discovered a lump of shredded cheese in the middle, and no where else. The lettuce was from the core, and came in large chunks that was completely overwhelming. The taco meat tasted like it was seasoned from a package and basically, I would have had a better experience at a Taco Bell, which is saying something. read more
