I was emailed and contacted by many businesses on the island who do everything from photography, catering, beauty, flowers, shuttle, just about everything you can think of needing for a wedding. Then one day I received a little padded manila envelope in the mail. Inside was a disc labeled "Silvia's Flower Corner." I was mesmerized to see the beautiful, magical creations before me. Some of the flowers I had never even seen before. I knew she had to do our flowers. I live in Chicago so had to communicate most of our ideas over the phone, but a few months before the wedding we went to Florida to meet with our vendors. She was operating out of Ginny and Jane E's at the time, which is a cute little antique store and cafe. It was so fun to sit down and brainstorm. She just wanted to know what kind of flowers "turn us on." We didn't have any wedding "colors" per se, but I told her every spring I am so happy when the stores in our neighborhood start carrying ranunculus. She flipped! She said that would not be a problem. Before I knew it, she's pulling all these crazy flowers out of the back, 'Do you like this? How about this?' I had complete faith in her from day one. Is it cheap? No. Should it be? Absolutely not. They were the most beautiful wedding flowers I've ever seen. When I saw my bouquet that morning, I straight up cried. Perfect pink ranunculus and calla lilies, bright green orchids, adorable button mums. And everyone loved the whimsical centerpieces. I was lucky enough to have parents that took care of my wedding costs, and to this day my mom says Silvia was worth every penny.

This is the best beach boutique featuring the cutest glassware, home decor, dresses, accessories, jewelry, and more. The girls working are always so welcoming and you can tell that so much dedication has gone into owning such a beautiful shop. I visited in January and we got to speak with the owner about the hurricane damage and it was impressive to hear how they spent countless hours restoring the shop. I own a few rings from here that I wear all the time and the cutest AMI shirt that is unlike your typical t-shirt souvenir that you would find at a chain touristy shop. There is so much to see in this store and it is definitely worth your time to make a quick pit stop here on your next visit to AMI.
