For over three years, we had to lease our house in Coupeville, WA. We hired Three Men and a Mower to keep the lawn trimmed on our 1.5 acre lot. It wasn't an easy job considering the amount of sand, bumps, lumps, and varying grass and weeds that comprised the lawn. Nevertheless, Three Men and a Mower did a great job, and charged very little considering the challenges of the work. I'm adding this review for another reason. Next door, is a very elderly couple who also rely on Three Men and a Mower to keep their acre of lawn trimmed, Even though this couple rarely go outside, and Three Men and a Mower could do a "quick" job, they DON'T. Every few weeks, they meticulously trim the grass, often having to use two different types of mowers because of the type and length of the lawn, Plus, they ensure there are no grass clippings on the couple's front porch. The work ethic, attention to detail, and thoroughness of Three Men and a Mower is admirable. Five stars!!! read more

I was recently in need of re-graveling my extended, rural, driveway. I priced gravel and looked for someone to spread it. I contacted Three Men and a Mower for an estimate on spreading the gravel. Kevin, the owner, offered to coordinate the entire project, ordering the gravel, coordinating arrival of his crew, and taking care of the entire project. The project was handled professionally, on time, and right on the estimated price. The on-site crew spent a good deal of time ensuring the project looked "finished" and professional. I recommend this company and will use them any time I have work within their scope. Excellent to find a company that does what it says, when it says it will do it in this day and age. read more

We bought an investment property that had been vacant for a while and was overgrown. I hired Three Men to weed, prune, put down bark and get the house ready to put on the market. They didn't even mow the lawn. They didn't do half the things we had discussed in the estimate: like prune the fruit trees, prune the laurel hedge, deadhead the rhodies, put down existing stepping stones, cut down a very ugly half dead bush, remove ugly decorative driftwood. Because we are remote, I asked for photos and I got 4 pictures. This was over 3/4 acre! but half of it was like a forest and didn't need any work. We paid over $1800 for this and Jennifer gave us grief for complaining. They didn't even edge the flower beds or driveways. They did try to con us into signing up for a year long maintainance program that was very pricey. No way would I recommend this bait and switch rip off company. read more

Last year I started looking for a new lawn like sod and a sprinkler system. I called Three Men and a Mower, when the owner showed up, I told him what I was looking for. To have my lawn rehabbed with a sprinkler system. This meant thatching my lawn with aeration also. Then have new lawn seed put down. The bid came in for about half of the other bids, which were for new sod and sprinklers. When the men showed up to do the work, they were warm and friendly. The work was very hard, and I never once heard them complain. After all the pipe was installed and tested, they did a 3-stage process of planting new seed. First a good seeding, second a layer of topsoil put over my entire lawn, finally another seeding. All I had to do was program the Rain Bird controller with my smartphone. In a few weeks, I had the start of my new lawn, lush green grass. I am very pleased with the work they did for, yes, I would recommend them. This year my person who had been taking care of weeding and pruning became unreliable I once again call Three Men and a Mower to have this work done. All the weeds are gone, and all my plants have been pruned. My place looked so nice I ask to be put on a maintenance program. I know they will come back and keep my place looking top-notch with the fruit trees pruned at the correct time. These two men were very professional, and a real joy to watch them work. I have talked to the office manager a few times since I started this process, very nice to deal with. I also like the billing system, a bill arrives in my email, I click pay now and is so easy. read more

My wife and I lived on a corner lot with a serious grade issue towards the road and an almost unusable back yard because of the slope. We called Three Men and Mower and they showed up for the estimate. My wife and I emailed the office manager several times with adjustments and new requests and we always received a prompt email response with the adjustments we requested. The gentleman showed up and meticulously worked every single day creating an unrecognizable back yard with a beautiful retaining wall, perfectly graded back yard with hydro-seed, and a new planter in the front of our home. I cannot begin to say how happy we are with the work done at our house. It was done on time, on budget, and the work is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this company and if we ever decide to do more landscaping at our home they are the only company we will use. read more

After calling Three Men AND A Mower (name isn't right on Yelp, go figure), I didn't get a response back for well over a week when I finally called again. The next day they emailed me an estimate for what I wanted. The communication skills of Jennifer Murphy the office manager are very poor to say the least. My email specifically stated that I wanted a ONE TIME mow with my flower bed weeded and pruned. How hard is that? Next thing I know, they're trying to scam me with an estimate for a year long contract well over $1000. After I told her NO, that is not what I wanted, I never heard from them again, nor did they answer my phone calls. At this point, a MONTH had passed since my initial phone call so I ended up going with a cool guy named Alfredo that has own little business in town. He did an excellent job for 2/3 the cost these jokers were going to charge me. I wouldn't recommend anyone that isn't business oriented, nor has the skills to understand their customers. They can't even make a Yelp page with the proper name so people can post about their service! Avoid. read more
