Values and Mission…read more Core Values 1. Christ Centeredness- Our activity centers around Christ and fulfilling his will in our lives 2. Biblical Commitment-we are committed to living out the Word of God 3. People Focused-our focus is on people and reaching and teaching each person to know Christ "Many congregations make the mistake of thinking that what unites them are common experiences: style of worship, church schedule, fellowship groups, etc. But these experiences are only outward expression of having the same core values." - Craig Kennet Miller Mission statement To lead people to devotion in Christ This is the goal in everything we do, whether for the believer, the seeker, the member, or the guest. Our mission is to lead people to place full devotion to Jesus Christ. This Mission is central in the weekend experience, in our mid-week prayer, all events, and ministry to children. This Mission should also be central in the lives of those who belong here - that we would desire to lead others to full devotion to Jesus. Purpose for being To Meet Jesus, to Grow in Jesus and to Share Jesus with people throughout the world "The vast majority of church members today do not understand the basic purposes of the church. How can we expect them to be involved if they do not understand what they are supposed to be doing?" - Thom Rainer Vision To fulfill our call from God by having Passion in Worship, Passion in the Word, and Passion in Sharing Jesus Christ

(Date of writing: 5/17/22). Long Hollow has unfortunately become a shell of it's former self. As a…read morefriend once said, "there's plenty of gatherers, not enough cultivators". The church puts so much time & effort into getting you to come to church and "committing your life to Christ" (which in itself isn't a bad thing) that it forgets an important detail: You have to CULTIVATE the seeds, ensure they grow. In my experience with the church, while they accepted me into their family, the church itself (with a few exceptions) did not help me to grow in my faith, and in fact pushed me away in several instances. The worship experience they put together each week, while glamourous and flashy, doesn't feel real. It feels scripted, and fake. Staff is moved around every other month, you never feel like you can get a personal relationship with anyone because they are always being moved around, not to mention there are so many of them. The one positive I must give to Long Hollow is the facility they have built, and continue to built. It is one of the best in the region, boasting a sanctuary of ~2,000 capacity and an overflow/chapel of ~200 more, a coffee shop, a building dedicated entirely to the students with 2 more sanctuaries, and soon to be a "community" area. In conclusion, whilst Long Hollow does have the physical amenities required to support it's large population, it lacks in several key elements that are absolutely necessary of a church. I cannot in good faith recommend Long Hollow to anyone.

Whether devout in your faith or completely skeptical of Christianity, this is a great place to explore at your own pace. Offering plates are not passed, new visitors are not singled out or pressured to introduce themselves or meet people but would be welcomed should they want to get to know the staff and congregation. They have a great band rather than choir that plays secular music as well Christian music that pertains to the message they are focusing on. Messages are presented using mixed media such as multimedia projection screens, dramas and skits, as well as traditional preaching. Suit and tie or T-shirt and jeans, dress attire is of no concern. Messages are uplifting and often offer practical useful advice for day to day living for believers and non believers alike. Highly recommend this church, particularly for those who may have had a bad experience with church in the past.
