Meatball Sub Our Way - XLarge

I had been to the three pickles in Santa Barbara a few years ago and had a couple excellent sandwiches. So came here with high hopes. We had two sandwiches. both were bad. Bread tasted like day old French bread from Ralph's. The fillings were not very tasty at all. Even the Coke from the fountain was flat. Best item was the potato chips. And AYCE pickles. $41 for two sandwiches, one chip, one soda. Should've gone to Jersey Mike's and saved $20! PS. Bathroom was nice. Staff friendly and efficient.

Cute little sandwich shop tucked away in a business center. Service was pretty fast and sandwich was BIG! Split it between two people and it was the perfect amount of food. I like that all the toppings are chopped so you get some in every bite. The pickle bar was mid in my opinion, only 3 options that all tasted similar but worth a try. It does get messy so grab some extra napkins!

One of my favorite sandwich spots in Santa Barbara. Three Pickles has made to order subs that are consistently made to perfection. The "Subs are Way" is my usual go to. I just pick the deli meat I'm feeling for the day and they top it off with their own pickle, tomato, onion and sand which dressing combo. You can't go wrong with it. They also have a variety of specialty sandwiches and salads if you want to have something different. You have to stop by the pickle bar and grab some pickles or pepperoncinis. The staff is awesome and the service is quick. The place also has that sandwich shop feel and very casual setting.

When I want a really good meatball sub or a super fresh deli sandwich or a flavorful salad - like the Goodland - this is my go-to place. Can't miss with three pickles. In the fall and winter the owner Clay comes up with soups for the soul. Won best clam chowder. I liked the Italian Wedding Soup too. Open Mon-Fri. Ultra local, off the beaten path in Goleta. Across from FedEx at the airport - 420 S.Fairview. Easy address to remember Nice little outdoor patio and a few tables inside.

Really great service, and a stacked sandwich. I stopped by and picked up a Goodland club on my way to the airport and I was in and out in probably 10 mins during lunch time. The sandwich was really good, and I felt like it was stacked/packed with contents. I'd come back next time I'm in the area. The "local sandwich shop" vibe is strong here and I'm all for supporting local business.

The best sandwich I've ever had! I got the Gaucho with bell pepper and asked for it to be spicy. I got au jus and some spicy pepperoncini on the side. The sandwich was super cheesy, with a generous amount of meat. I don't usually like sandwiches, but this was just fantastic! Also the pickles on their self serve counter is just amazing. I added some pepper flakes to spice it up, and it was just perfect. Tbh I wanna go back to get more of their self-serve pickles.

This place is overrated. Don't get me wrong, the sandwich was good but definitely not great. My sandwich was $10.50 not including the drink. They also forgot to put avocado in my goodland club (which is one of the main reasons I ordered that one). The wheat bread was soft and a little sweet but the sandwich itself was nothing out of this world.

Took Amtrak up to Goleta today. Found this place on our walk from the station to the beach. Staff is super friendly, food was really good. I had the pastrami on a french roll and a bowl of their chowder, Really good! My husband had the turkey, mustered was a but spicy but sandwich was good. I don't find many sandwich places id come back to but I'll definitely be back to this one! I would have taken a picture but I ate it to fast. Only suggestion is they move their award winning chowder sign from by the soda machine to over by the register.

Very friendly and the De La Guerra is the best sandwich I've ever had. Patio is great for plane-spotting at SBA as well!

This is a yummy sandwich shop with huge sandwiches. They work fast, so don't be discouraged if there's a line.

Great sandwich on a Monday afternoon. Strange location in a big parking lot but seems to be a local favorite and it makes sense why.

And you can even "build your own" Sandwich if the mood strikes you. For their BBQ Plates we've been big fans of their Chicken Plates, any of their Tri-Tip Plates, or simply going for it all with their Combo Plate. And any and all of their sides are pretty tasty. Depending on your mood, the salads of Macaroni, Potato, or Cole Slaw are very good. And their fresh meat selections are all good. Look for their trucks in the parking lot, which is on Calle Real, and is the same lot as Dune Coffee and Bowlero Santa Barbara.

We each got a sandwich and small side. My husband said his Italian sandwich was a B+ and coleslaw was ok. My Ruben sandwich was also a solid B+. Personally, i didn't enjoy how thick the pork was but I'm sure others would be into it. The potato salad didn't do it for me and I recommend getting chips as a side. There is a lot of seasoned and marinated meat to choose from. I want to go back and buy some for a bbq this summer.

It is extremely rare that I write a review without actually visiting in person. My sister somehow…read moregot my hooked on this small, local sandwich chain. I had seen its various locations (Isla Vista, Santa Barbara's Mesa and Goleta) and always wanted to check it out; yet leave it to my sister from out of town to introduce me to it. Twice she has ordered take-out sandwiches at lunch time for us. Their sandwich menu is nutso with 36 creations to choose from, including several that are vegetarian. Of course, the options are endless if you choose to build you own! I went with the #14 (a turkey BLT) and #2 (turkey and cheese) which are simply basic yet tasty. I have no idea what they do to their bread but is addicting. Slight crunch on the outside, yet soft to the squeeze and full of gummy flour flavor! All of the ingredients appear fresh and nothing special--which I appreciate when I want a deli sandwich. I love the fact that you can purchase your sandwich in a variety of sizes including a "mini" for if you need a snack to hold you over and not a full meal. I also think of children, those who are on a lower carb diet, who have had bariatric surgery, or are limiting portion sizes. I personally go for a "small" sandwich. However, if you want to go all out, choose the "medium" or "family" size. Even better, if you're hosting a party, order a three to ten foot long sandwich (requires a day's notice). I will be back to check out the actual place--third time's a charm they say. I've heard both their chicken salad and tuna salad are both delicious. That's next up! P/S: According to Yelpers, they do not accept the Check-In Offer for a free soda with a sandwich purchase. They should really remove this from their Yelp page... Note: Only the Milpas location offers chicken sandwiches, burgers, french fries and chicken nuggets. Note squared: They charge more for credit card payments. Note cubed: If you want free entertainment, check out their Milpas website menus with adorable, phonetically spelled items. (gient vs giant, meetball vs meatball, and phylly vs philly).

I bought two (already overpriced) medium-sized sandwiches for $36.38 including tax. If that was not…read moreenough, I was actually charged $37.56, due to paying with credit card. I have no issues with credit cards needing extra 3% charge itself, but the real issue was that I was never told about this extra credit card charge in advance. Nor was there any indication in the store or on the website that credit card payments incurred this 3% surcharge. Finally, upon asking for a refund of $37.56 - $36.38 = $1.18, the manager actually yelled at me, saying that this 3% credit card charge is "commonplace". This is bullshit untrue across the country, as we all know (especially if not told in advance). Thus, long story short, this store simply aims to earn as much money from consumers as possible, even if this means overstepping the bounds of ethics.
