My husband was taken to Three Rivers on the 19th of April by ambulance, because of an accident involving his heart, etc...He stayed and was released Easter Sunday afternoon after being treated by an amazing team of people who constantly monitored him 24 hours a day and treated him like he was the most important person in the world... He was in room 312A with amazing care...Great food...and the doctor on call had all the right answers.... ...The wait in the ER was long and tiresome, but the outcome was great!!! Three Rivers Hospital should not be called a Hospital! I went there with all the symptoms of a stroke and they had me wait in the waiting room for over an hour! All they did was take my BP. Which Was high and then they sent me back to the waiting room. Finally after an hour I just left. They are ridiculous. The care there is awful! read more

Went to ER last week. I was put on a gurney with no pillows, or warm blankets. I came in with cold sweats, chills, and nausea. How does an ER not have these things? Unacceptable! I was on that gurney for 8 hrs before they decided to send me to Elkhart General because they also didn't have any open beds. read more

I was brought into the Er via ambulance after a nasty fall and head trauma. The staff took a quick look at me and asked if I had been drinking. sent the doctor in and I was asked again. I was asked 2 more times. was not given a full exam for my injuries, sent to CT and released. I am 63 years old and was leaving work when I fell. I have never been a drinker nor do I. it was insulting and because I was not properly looked at for injuries other things are wrong. worst Er experience ever. will ever go there again. read more

Three Rivers Hospital is a JOKE, I take my sister-in law in at 6pm with concerns of a miscarriage with her 14 week pregnancy of mono-di twins, she sat there for almost three hours never being checked on and being told to just be patient. When I come in I find out there is an elderly women sitting next to my sister experiencing chest pains thats been here for an hour and a half. When I start asking questions and pointing out the fact they're doing nothing, I was greeted by a security gaurd that told me I was getting "jumpy" when I never even yelled, then proceeded to tell me if I continued they would call the cops. I simply took my sister with and left and are headed to a different hospital. What can I do or who do I contact to report this behavior of this pathetic excuse of a hospital? read more

Emergency dept. I came there on 9/7 with a swollen cheek and sore closed eye. I only waited a matter of minutes before I was triaged, then went to a room. Before long I saw a Dr who appeared very caring and concerned. He ordered tests done, in the end decided I needed an in house ophthalmologist which they did not provide. He thenmade arrangements for me to be admitted to a Kalamazoo hospital where he was assured of the in house eye specialist. I was transported and he was correct, I was treated by an ophthalmologist that night! They did everything correct and professionally! will return if needed! read more

I had my second surgery at this hospital. The first one I had in 2021 the whole team was caring and compassionate they left a lastly memory of how I was treated from the moment I came into the hospital to get checked in, to the care I received from the team before surgery, the anesthesiologist, the nurses in recovery, the care I received after recovery to this surgery I had last week. I even asked if I could get the same nurses and although I didn't, the experience that I had last week with my surgery was the same. I'm not sure if this team is part of Dr. Maskills office, but as far as hospitals and care out of any surgery I've had or any stay at the hospital this team at three rivers hospital care about their patients. read more

This is the worst ER I have ever encountered. Not one person that I encountered that worked there was anywhere close to friendly. I went in wanting to get an X-ray on a possible fracture. I waited for 2 hours, nobody seemed to have any idea what the time frame would be. They all just said they have no idea. They probably don't pay enough to get people that are actually good at their job. There were at least 20 people in the waiting room. I just finally left, if it still hurts in a couple of days, I'll go to Bronson, where people are nice. read more

I had surgery at this hospital in 1987 by a Dr. Andrejs Dimants. Who I found out had malpractice suits against him, yet this hospital let him operate on me. I have had nothing by issues with the incision site. I am happily back in Florida since this surgery. They did 3 pelvic exams, xrays & tylenol even though they knew I was pregnant at the time. Well, here's about as far as I go for a first to review badge. While visiting my kids at their camp in Three Rivers, I got into a nasty collision. It could have been much worse, but the fact that I am typing this two days later shows that it wasn't. The ambulance took me to Three Rivers Hospital and they took pretty good care of me but I'm taking off two stars because of the stupid way they moved me on and off the CT scan. Three times. I'm not an MD but I've seen enough episodes of ER to know that when someone has had a spinal injury you don't have one little nurse slide them from the gurney to the machine, you have three strong guys lift head, midsection and feet all together. Their procedure was very painful and might have been downright damaging. Fortunately I was transferred to Branson Hospital in Kalamazoo, which was a trauma center. The ER docs told me without prompting that you really don't want to be treated at Three Rivers if you can help it. I'm home now and feeling bruised but very lucky. read more

And after her surgery once she learned how to communicate again, she said she would never go there again. But it doesn't matter now because she is deceased because of them. read more

I wish I could leave a negative star. I took my young son into the ER with horrible abdominal pain. Not once, but twice within a 2 night span. First trip they said he was probably constipated. They put him on a drink to "clean him out". Next night, pain was even worse so they did ct scan and again told me he was just constipated. Fast forward to Monday when we saw our family doctor. (She is NOT affiliated with this hospital). She took one look at the ct scan from three rivers hospital and said, "he was NEVER constipated. He had mesenteric adenitis and ended up in Parkview Hospital. I hate this place. Put my son through so much unnecessary pain. read more

Long wait for ER but Dr. Sweeney was absolutely GREAT! He treated my daughter with respect and made her feel that his only concern was HER. Vicki, the RN, could use a few semester courses at WMU for bed side manners. She was so much more concerned with herself and NOT the patient. read more

My primary care is at one of the Three Rivers Health doctors offices. They get me in quickly, the provider listens to me, and they didn't pressure me to get routine tests, they asked and left the decision up to me. read more

I would never go back to this place! I'm from out of town and right thru the door I was treated like I have HIV, nursing was rude and when the doctor came in I told him I have a sinus infection and get them every year. He did a brief check of me then said I had a cold and he wasn't going to give me anything! I work on the road and when ever I get one of these infection I get a antibiotic and move on no problem. He told me basically I didn't know what I was talking about and I stormed out! Needless to say I went a town over to a walk in clinic and guess what Sinus infection! They put me on a antibiotic and I'll be better soon. One star rating because I had to and there is no negative stars! read more

Absolutely cruel. I have dated my fiance for 3 years. Over that span of time we have been here 3 times. Each time, we waited at least 30 minutes for any type of assistance. Each time, nurses and doctors were not thorough. Each time, Derek was sent home with mild pain meds. Each time, we were billed close to $1000 for crappy service, and no results. They even blatantly told us the second time, "well, basically we're not going to figure out what's wrong with you at 4 in the morning." I get that...but how are we supposed to have faith in people who say things like that? I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. In fact, I would only recommend NOT going here. Sturgis hospital may be farther away, but let me tell you, you'll be sitting at TRH twice as long twiddling your thumbs and napping, than if you were to just drive to Sturgis. And at least they are fast, thorough, and polite. The last time we went, they let Derek sit in a room in agonizing pain for an hour until getting him pain meds. Then I sat in there for another hour waiting for them to do something else. When I ask what was going on I got blank stares and "I'll go ask ____insert name here_____" Because you know, I don't have work in the morning. I don't need sleep. Derek can just tough it out. No prob. Oh and we can pay out our rear ends every month so this place doesn't go out of business. Yeah. -5 stars from us. P.S. I came here once because I could hardly breathe. The doctor looked at my throat, told me I had strep throat, and sent me home with antibiotics. Went to my family doc and he said it was mono. read more
