Bronson has been a part of our family health experience for 50 years. I have a few simple comments not about the healthcare we receive which is excellent. A patient is asked to fill out a form. What sex are you and it gives you numerous options. Well Bronson there are only 2 sexes, and you should be the first to admit such. When asked how much alcohol one drinks, the options are none, 2 drinks a day or less and finally more than 2 drinks a day. Not everyone is a daily drinker. I was sent a printed form to fill out and bring to the office for my one-year healthcare visit. I filled it out preparing to being it with me. Now the emails arrive before the visit. I had to get a handful of labs done for my annual and typically I am TERRIBLE at getting my blood drawn. I am the patient who will almost pass out or almost pass out, but Wanda over at the John St South campus was an ANGEL!! It was over before I knew it and she handled me with great care! She didn't make me feel bad at all for being so nervous too. She was exceptional. The front desk for the labs were also super friendly! read more

I love Bronson. The reason I will not give it 4 stars because of Dr.Christopher Betzel. This man gave me 2 knee replacements,let's just say I have never heard of a knee replacement ending up with a above the knee amputation my whole life has changed 2026 depressed 1 leg gone not happy..Bronson has some great doctors and I still see a doctor or 2 there now. Worst physicians I have encountered in over 20 years working in medical. Took the GI group 4 emergency room visits to finally develop a treatment plan and then they charge you to come in for visits to get care they already provided. This is among MANY more shortcomings their physicians just can't seem to get around. You want an infection, shoddy care, complete failure of care management, incompetent doctors, and double-charge/visits, then go to Bronson. Do it at your own risk. read more

Are the people aware that when you use your Healthcare series that you are paying to staff that facility even though they are employed by that hospital & you also pay to use the facility that you are being treated for? This is why our Healthcare insurance is so high because they are allowing these hospitals to do this. If you use one of there new surgical facilities that means you not only pay to staff it you're paying there paycheck salaries to the staff & surgeons. So why do we have to pay for this when they are employed by these facilities to do there job. Are they getting double the pay? I don't think so they're profiting millions off the clients & getting away with this. My last service fee was over $10,000 for a 35 min procedure. I took this to situation to our legislator asking who i could find out why this is allowed. I also took it further to DC finding out who to contact about our insurance system​ to let them know what's happening here in MI. Our state is making billions off this & is just not right. These charges that they bill you for are even before anything has been done so this is not including any diagnostic testing, lab draws, surgeries. This is tripling your bill costs. I see Dr Mayron Lichterman, he gives me HC shots in my wrist for arthritis. He is a good doctor it 's just that I have to pay 350.00 for 1 visit. He charges it as out-patient surgery as his office is in the hospital. The medicine cost less then 20 dollars. I am a senior with fixed income. I cant pay this for a shot. Hopefully I can find a doctor who will give me these shots in office. I don't see why Medicare is allowing this to go on. read more

I was pushed into the waiting room after a head injury and left for three hours. On top of that I was denied a blanket and I had no shoes or socks on and just a T-shirt and light pajama paints. they told me I could not have a blanket in the waiting room. I was left and they never told my family I was in the waiting room. I was throwing up in the waiting room. They never checked me for a concussion even after I had a head injury and my threw up for hours. The nurses behind the glass upon entry were yelling at people and treating them terrible. I can't remember a time being treated so poorly. read more

They are absolutely making money off of splitting people's bills into multiple different sections over months, absolutely predatory behavior that they are not providing itemized bills and trying to pull one over on people by segmenting them off over a long period of time. This is a common practice with many hospitals, and before anybody tries to defend them ask yourself why don't they put everything into one simple bill? read more

I was discharged from the Bronson Breast Cancer because, basically, the black female doctor did not like me!!!! Perhaps because, as an aside, I had the audacity to jokingly say that the person who was viewing my mammogram, was working from her home! In retrospect, I did not feel comfortable with what seems to me an important task, being done online, so to speak. The diagnosis was I had non-invasive breast cancer. After that, I was sent a preprinted form that so indicated that the cancer was not the invasive type, and no follow up so I assumed there was nothing further. About a month later, the Cancer doctor called me and was immediately rude. She seemed angry about something. Her attire was shocking and she was very unprofessional. Her name was Mika. When I had an appointment again, I was taken into an office and requested to sign a document detailing the treatment I was to receive, etc. There were no witnesses and contained some information that surely was important regarding my treatment, consequences, etc. Having owned a legal office my entire lifetime, I requested a copy and the original was taken out to the front office where a work-at-home lady, Patricia, was asked to make a copy for me. She pushed her chair back and literally threw my copy at me! A week later, I received a document signed by the cancer doctor, Mika, that she was discharging me from the hospital! I was shocked as no one had ever heard of such an action. I attempted to go to Bronson in Battle Creek, and they wouldn't take me either. I am in the process of filing an action in court inasmuch as this should never happen to anyone, especially with cancer, or any other serious condition. read more

Actually make that 0 stars.... Is maybe even negative stars. I came in here through the ERI am a 25 years of dialysis patient. My blood pressure was low and my heart rate speeding. My hemoglobin kept dropping and not coming back and they had they had to up to this point give me 13 units of blood but since I've been here a week and one day. Turns out they have not been giving me a medication that I get on dialysis foreign entire week. And it was me that brought it to their attention they never checked with my dialysis unit or talked to any of my dialysis doctors. Tonight I got back from dialysis and ordered my dinner 10 minutes before deadline it is now 930 and I have no food it never showed. I'm beyond livid this place is a joke read more

I recently had a CAT scan at Bronson Hospital, which I probably didn't even the first place. I just got a bill from Bronson for $150 because the insurance didn't pay the entire bill. The entire bill was over $2000 and the insurance paid more than $2000 but this greedy hospital still wants $150. With that does is the next time they think I need a CAT scan. I'm going to remember this and not have one so, they will certainly be out another two grand. I don't understand why they can't eat a measly $150 when they're making so much money in the first place. read more

Unlike some other hospitals, the doctors here actually care about their patients! I was here for several days in September 2020. I came in through the ER (which the rooms were not glorified coat closets, unlike other places), they ran proper tests, got a surgery moved up for me, and generally took awesome care of me! I was in inpatient care for about 3 days, and in that time, I saw a lot of the employees, all of which were amazing and caring people. The GI I saw, also amazing. The doctor in charge of my care, who I saw at least once daily from when I entered through the ER, awesome. They listened to me (as a woman, this doesn't happen enough), figured out what was wrong, and literally saved my life. I am so thankful for the staff at Bronson Methodist. 10/10 great people. (I also recommend the ham and cheese omelet from the cafeteria. First solid food I'd eaten in weeks, and it was AMAZING) (I also posted this on the other Bronson page, not sure what the difference is lol. But I loved my care here, so here we go!) read more

My sister had an appointment for an ultrasound yesterday. When we arrived, the clerk informed us that we had canceled the appointment and rescheduled the ultrasound for February. We do not understand how the appointment was canceled. My sister had spoken with somebody at the hospital the day before about the appointment and that person told her what to expect after the test. A similar cancelation happened to me a couple of years ago. Fortunately my appointment was far enough out that I could rebook without a problem read more

If I got sick, this is definitely where I would want to go. The team approach to care here is wonderful when it's working well (although at the beginning of the visit there can be done bumps in the road as everyone gets up to speed). There's a few glitches in the matrix for sure -- a volunteer knocked on my friend's closed door while she was sleeping, barged in without being invited, and very loudly asked if she wanted a magazine -- jolting her from her sleep. To say I was nonplussed seriously doesn't cover it! The rooms are generally nicely appointed (although there are some counterintuitive issues with the furniture -- it would be nice if the recliners actually reclined or the "couch" had a table on the side instead of the middle so loved ones spending long hours at a patient's bedside could be a more comfortable). The facility itself has some lovely features (the bright area atrium and the garden cafe area is a welcome oasis, with stories-tall trees and lots of light. They serve local Water Street coffee and Victorian Bakery products in the cafe, and have a large cafeteria with lots of options (today's burrito bowl was extremely ample and healthful). Parking is definitely a pickle (this afternoon there was seriously not a spot in the entire 4-story ramp) and there are never enough handicap spots at the garden entrance to meet the needs of their patients (many of whom double park in the turn-around area). I've always felt my loved ones were in the best care the area has to offer when I've visited them here. read more

I was admitted to the hospital last week, after having been diagnosed with bacterial sepsis. I was discharged 6 days later in much better shape. With only one exception, the hospital staff that assessed and treated me - hospitalists (which unexpectedly included my doctor), a surgical resident and a Physician Assistant (PA) from Colon and Rectal Diseases, the Nurses, & the Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) - were professional, skilled, attentive, and kind. What they were doing and why they were doing it was always explained to me. I'll continue to see my doctor and the PA, but I'll likely never see the nurses or PCAs that were assigned to me ever again. But if I were ever to get ill again and get assigned to their floor, I'd be completely confident that I'd be getting the very best care. The one exception was, I have decided, an outlier. A skilled and capable nurse, she lacked people skills. She was assigned to me toward the end of the admission for only one 12 hour shift. The staff were attentive to washing their hands, wearing plastic gloves, etc. The insertion and later removal of the two IVs in my forearms was done with consideration. (As I write this review, I have no bruising and you'd be challenged finding any mark showing where the IVs had been.) The room was fine. Yelp is about food and drink so my last comments will address the meals. The food was up and down, depending on what I ordered. The Personal Pan Pizza and omelets were delightful. The spaghetti with meat sauce was always cooked to perfection but was too small of a serving (and I know that the kitchen counts carbs, so I understand why the entree had to be that way). The protein in the meatloaf was forgettable and the mushroom gravy had a weird viscosity. I was, at first, encouraged by the chicken salad sandwich because there were chucks of both white and dark meat. But it had been made by someone who neglected to add enough mayonnaise so the sandwich did not hold together. The chicken in the Chicken Caesar Salad was oddly minced, and it was not at all appetizing. The coffee was painfully weak, worse than bad diner coffee, as if a brown crayon had been swirled a couple of times in hot water. And powdered creamer is simply offensive. Once I figured out what worked from the menu, I just stuck with those items and was content. Everything that was supposed to be hot, arrived hot. And cold was cold. The kitchen uses some sort of heavy duty dark brown plastic cover for its hot dishes that was very effective. The people delivering the meals were efficient but still gracious and friendly. There was a page early in the menu explaining that some local sources for food products were used, and Sarkozy Bakery was mentioned. But I know Sarkozy Breads. If you cut me, I will bleed Sarkozy Breads. I tasted no Sarkozy Breads in any of the meals. I would have no reluctance recommending this hospital. read more

Bronson Methodist Hospital - Reducing my risk of contracting pneumonia. - Neurologist Near Me - Kalamazoo, Michigan

I was a contractor in mri for 13 weeks ( well I was suppose to be ). I was told i could wear a mask since I had allergy to flu shot before I started. After being there 7 weeks the review board who decides on flu shot rules determined my drs note of flu allergy having hives wasn't sufficient and told me hives to the shot is no excuse for not getting the shot and I will be dropped from my contract if I don't have the shot within a week. However , several of my co workers didn't have the shot for religious reasons and that was excused. After that I was exposed to a covid positive patient on a vent at work. I was sent an email to get tested per hospital policy. I got tested. Never received the results then was billed 151.00 . when I questioned why I was billed when I was exposed on the job they said new policy states all employees must use their own insurance when being tested. I was never told this when I showed up to get tested per hospital policy. To make all this even better the email I received said something about after being exposed I was technically suppose to get tested 3-4 times after exposure. Had I done that I would have been billed up to 604.00 ! What a way to treat your staff Bronson ! read more

The gastroenterology department within the hospital has such a poor staff that while I was waiting 1 and 1/2 hours for my ERCP procedure my IV came loose and blood was being drawn out of my arm running onto blanket and floor. Do you think I could get a nurses attention or help? I finally removed my nasal oxygen which set off beepers so someone finally checked and found help to clean up. Afterwards we waited 2 hours for transport back to room in main hospital. read more

My mother-in-law had to have a biopsy of her kidneys. Upon arriving I was surprised how fast and smoothly the entire process was. All the nurses and doctors were extremely kind and actually made us feel like they cared. You really can't get that everywhere these days. Even after her biopsy while she was in recovery they made sure that not only she was comfortable but also that my husband and I were as well. Oh and the cafeteria food was phenomenal. They had a burrito bowl day and I swear it tasted better than chipotle. read more

I have been to Bronson hospital numerous times, it's got it's ups and downs. I have even had two of my three kids here. I wouldn't have gone to any other hospital to have a premature birth. I wholeheartedly think the Bronson NICU saved my baby!! I will always recommend a pregnant mother to go here. They have such amazingly kind doctors and nurses, they go above and beyond for heir patience. I have been in every situation at the hospital that you can think of, birth, death, heart attack, nutritionist, blood work, birth classes, anything! I have always had good experiences! The place has good food too lol for hospital food! If I had to choose a hospital in town,Bronson would be the one for me!! read more

Do not go here for any reason! My father has been misdiagnosed, they had him as DNR when he was not supposed to be, they keep trying to write him off because of his age and cancer diagnosis. No one listens to you at all. Their egos here are unreal. We feel like we are in prison. This place is awful!! read more

EDIT: I added a photo of what the IV did to me after I came home. I hate needles so I covered my eyes, but my family member said the RN kept digging trying to get to the vein. Went to their emergency room due to a head injury only went here because my drs are from Bronson, but I'll never go there again. Longest wait time waited five hours overall they couldn't have been busy since nurses were just roaming around or sitting and talking. Every place has good staff, but the two times I've gone it was awful. Overall they were rude and did not listen. Gave me a drug in my IV without even saying what it was. Got sat in a hallway when I had a head injury with a horrid migraine and all I heard the whole time was nurses talking loudly and bright lights just what I needed! No pillow one sheet in a cold hallway ridiculous. RNs cant even get the IV in a vein here somehow other places can. They made me wait five hours to in the end do a pointless test when they originally said I was supposed to do another. When they took the IV out I started feeling faint instead of helping the RN just kept talking to me about getting me discharged when I was becoming nauseous, sweaty, and going white. We witnessed their cleaning staff too I wouldn't use the linens in the drawers they probably dropped them on the floor! read more

The entire staff at Bronson has been amazing to my Father. I can't say enough about the level of patient care we are receiving. My dad had open heart surgery a few days ago, which was very scary. Especially during Covid-19. The surgeon, Dr. DeLucia, was beyond amazing to my Father and my entire family. He is our hero! The nurses and clerical staff has gone out of their way to keep us informed several times a day (since we can't be at the hospital due to Covid). Such caring people that really look out for their patients and their families. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to go back to Bronson Methodist Kalamazoo for anything I or my family needs. I've never been to Bronson, but I know a lot of people who have with no complaints and my father's oldest sister was a nurse here. She had mostly great things to say. There is no hospital without a few complaints, every large company has mostly good people and a small handful of not so good employees. But what I'm really responding to is Mary L from Kalamazoo with a bruise photo. I can't say what happened since I wasn't there. But my veins are hard to get and even the techs who get it the first time will leave a bruise sometimes. Frankly many of mine have been worse but they heal. Whether or not you get a bruise depends on your other health conditions, what meds you're on which may exacerbate bruising and lot of other things, such as lack of hydration. Even the best nurses don't get the vein the first time every time. If that is the worst that happens to you medically or in your life experience, I'd say you're pretty lucky. read more

The good part is the staff members are very nice. I liked my doctors and nurse. My big issue with this place is that it is absurd to me that they tell you they offer financial assistance, but in reality your doctors send you their own bills! The doctors are independent contractors! what a scam. So they will make you think you get assistance and they just make you pay the actual cost on a very inflated bill. A good scam to get people to agree to services, when the price is never discussed with you before hand. Example--labs and CT scan are said to be $3800, WITHOUT counting the work of the doctor you need to read these things by the way. They say you only have to pay 10%/$380, well yeah because those labs don't cost much of anything now do they. THEN you get bills from your doctors, over $500 from the doctor who ordered everything and another $350 ish for your radiologist. You message Bronson and they say we do not do the billing for them, you will have to contact them to ask about financial assistance, which their bills and websites do not even offer as an option. So now you are out $1200,despite qualifying for financial assistance. I spent no more than 10-15 min in total with my doctor and resident doctor. $850 is financial assistance just for having 2 doctors read basic labs for one quick visit?? Surely they are multitasking with other patients also. This is everything that is wrong with our healthcare system. This is why people die instead of getting help. I do not like being lied to so at least be upfront with people how it works. It took me 2 hours to get back into a room and another 2 hours sitting there in level 10 pain before I even got any pain meds. I couldn't get a doctor to look at me despite being in excruciating pain but they have the nerve to send their financial specialist into your room to find out how they will get paid. That is not impressive healthcare. I work in a medical office and can you imagine if we told people they only had to pay a discounted rate today and then had the doctor send them a bill for $500? With no prior notice. I know the inflated amounts that insurance companies are billed so the hospital can definitely afford to give better rates to people who have to pay everything on their own. I would have expected my out of pocket to be no more than half of what it is. Your doctors need to be employees of your hospital if you are going to lie to people and say they will get assistance on the full bill. Why on earth would anyone think their final hospital bill would not include the work of their doctors?? Shameful read more

Bronson was great to me in general. I went in with a terrible headache and some numbness/tingling in my left hand and foot. Since I'm only 25, I thought for sure they'd have me wait in the waiting room and get to the more 'emergent' patients. They brought out a wheelchair and immediately wheeled me into ER. Turns out my brain was hemorrhaging! But even before they made this diagnosis, they thought I had a migraine, but the way they treated me was very very good. Normally, people thought to have 'just' a headache aren't given much sympathy. They took my concerns and vocalizations to heart, which paid off as they quickly diagnosed the rare cause of the hemorrhage (cavernous angioma). I definitely recommend Bronson, they did an awesome job! Extremely kind staff as well. read more

Both my insurance company and I tried twice a week for 3 months to contact billing department for wrong charge. Billing department never answered or returned a call and I just got a letter from a collection. Hundreds of dollars to see a nurse practitioner was not worth a penny. Also their staffs are SLOW and RUDE. HATE YOU BRONSON! Worst hospital experience EVER. I'd never go to this hospital again. read more

The staff was knowledgable, but the lack of a nursery to assist exhausted parents at night is a huge reason for the 2 star. All the nurses seem to avoid or ignore requests to have the newborns even put in the nursery at night. As new parents, it would have been great to have the nurses take the babys during the night to allow the woman who have had long deliveries and C section time to rest before going home to meet the storm of late hours. Instead my wife and I were only able to squeeze in 1-3 hours of sleep a night in preparation of heading home with our new additions to the family. Not a great way to start. I have heard through the grapevine that other hospitals have nurseries where the nurses are proactive in taking the babies to allow the parents a chance to get a recharge before heading home. read more

Bronson's hiring process must be rigorous and intense because they have the best staff ever, from receptionists to doctors. The care I've received here, whether when having my 3 babies, having a procedure, or just a regular appointment. They never seem to be running behind, which is a pleasant change from all the other doctor offices my family goes to! Additionally, the facility itself is beautiful and sparkling clean. read more

Went in extreme pain ignored forever sat in a wheelchair that caused more pain begged for relief NEVER GOT IT still in pain 2 weeks later...borgess uti and ear infection to hell with bronson their bitchy nurses and uncaring doctors DONE! BRONSON SHOULD BE BURNED TO THE GROUND WITH AS MANY PATIENTS GET MISTREATED DAILY. Adding insult to injury i take my daughter in at little over 41 weeks left foot swollen at least 4x the size of the other. She was in baclk labour..no 1 check her they stress tested the baby who's heart rate went from 114 to 163 in a second. My child was swollen bad..started asking questions about petosine (which i needed for all 3 of my babies, pre clamsia in the family (blew that off) this was thirsday told her to keep monday approximately 41 weeks exactly...waited till Wednesday to schedule her ultra sound and stress test FOOT STILL SWOLLEN Wednesday morning her appointment @ 9:45 ultra sound tech looks at about 4 things says gotta get tech to look...baby was gone! She finally naturally WITH PATOSIN. Thursday at 2;32 pm m deceased grandson was born...could have been avoided of all her records were gathered and in her file WITH family history...but at bronson dr is always rt but since 2018 you've failed my family 3x...sad very sad... read more

There are really only two options for hospitals in the greater Kalamazoo area and Bronson has never disappointed my family for our needs. We have not had any issues with insurance or with appointments. There is typically a follow up from the staff after a procedure which gives you the feel that you are not just a number. They also employ droves of local people and the pay is good, which helps to drive the local economy. I think that given the choice for healthcare, I don't have to think twice about using Bronson and their affiliates. read more

I presented to Bronson Center for Women for a Diagnostic Mammogram as ordered by my physician. I am a breast cancer survivor and require a diagnostic mammogram in order to monitor the possible return of cancer. Without any discussion, the Bronson radiologist changed my order from a diagnostic to a screening mammogram. This occurred on at least two previous occasions...without my knowledge. My primary care physician was never questioned or notified of the change. The reason for the change...BRONSON PROTOCOL! The Bronson protocol changed my orders without so much as a discussion with either me or my physician. The end result was A MASS BEHIND MY BREAST that was not discovered until I went to Borgess Hospital for a confirming diagnostic mammogram. Bronson Hospital and my primary care physician (a Bronson employee) defended the "protocol" stating that there will be an occasional patient that falls thru the cracks. If you don't want to fall "thru the cracks", you may want to consider another facility for your healthcare needs. Complaints to the Bronson Hospital patient relations department were futile. They defended the actions of the radiologist and statements from my primary care physician that "the standard of care was met and patient health was not compromised in any way". I am outraged. read more

My family has been using Bronson Hospital since the early 50's. I witnessed my worse ever experience over the past two weeks. A family member had a scheduled outpatient surgery which normally takes about an hour. We became very concerned as time went on. When we inquired, we were told she was still in surgery. After about 3 hours, we learned she was out of surgery, however, it would take about 2 hours to attempt to get her pain under control. It was approximately 7 hours after the procedure, we were allowed to see her. The doctor said it was a difficult procedure due to scaring. Even though she was in serious pain, the nurse in the Recovery Dept was in a hurry to release her because they were closing. So she was released. I went to stay with her and the next day, her pain continue to increase. At approximately 5 p.m., I took her to E.R. at Bronson Hospital because she was in so much pain that she couldn't walk. I had given her one of the pain meds prescribed for her, but it was not helping.She was in so much pain, she could hardly speak to receptionist. So I explained her surgery the previous day and her serious pain. There were 4 people waiting in the area when we arrived and even though I had explained her situation, it was 5 hours before she was seen. People came in that were talking and laughing, kids playing and running all over, they were seen and she was not... We were told at our last visit to the Reception Desk there were two people ahead of her, they saw 5 more. She was diagnosed with bile leaking into her stomach. She underwent surgery to insert a drainage tube and a stent. I believe she was kept two days and released. In less than a week, she began to have a low grade fever and the drainage tube site was very red and painful. She went back to Bronson and again, had to wait about 3 hours. The drainage tube was removed and advised it was infected and it was due to her not cleaning the area. When she was released from the hospital, no one advised her to clean the area. She was advised to flush the drainage tube daily, which she did. She said the area was not cleaned when she was a patient. I don't know what criteria they use to determine who is seen first, but this is a clear indication that it is broken and needs to be fixed. I believe many times there are a hundred or more people waiting to be seen. Perhaps a different area or facility could care of the less serious illness or injury could alleviate this problem. It would also alleviate the stress for workers in the emergency room. This is an example of service at its worst. This waiting situation could have caused death. read more

I have been very proud of Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. Last Wednesday in the early am., I went in for purple toe nails on both big toes. Mild chest pains, dizzy spells. Blood pressure 150 over 90. My blood pressure is NEVER that high. They had ne sit on a bed in the hallway next to another family. The doctors assistant came and talked to me then she went told the doctor. His name was Dr. D. I can't remember his last name. But it started with a D. He shows up to my bed. Would not listen to anything I had to say after he examined my feet. Said my arteries are clear. He listened to my heart in 3 spots then said, go home your fine. I never have bern more humiliated by a health care professional in all my life. Wife had a urgent medical situation and we made the call to go to the Bronson ER. This is the closest ER to our home. Frankly, we would have been better off going to Immediate care. Staff did not care and seem to wander around with no rush. Waited for over 2 hours. My recommendation is to call for an ambulance if you want to be seen in a reasonable period of time. read more

When transferring a family member from the South Haven facility to the main facility, a test was run that said she was not allowed food or water until assessed by the Speech Pathologist. I find this a little difficult to understand since she was eating french toast and drinking coffee at their facility only 4 hours prior to the transfer. Someone appears to not be able to look past a test to reality. read more

Going to Battle Creek was Bronson Hospital is like being in a third world country. If you have to be hospitalized please make the trip to Kalamazoo or even Marshall. That being said, the Urgent care on Beckley has always been very good in my opinion. read more

I'm an RN & I've been employed as one for 40 yrs. I've watched a disturbing trend that includes expensive medical evaluation, surgery, etc followed by early discharge under the (false) guide of "You'll get better faster at home". This translates into friends, family, anyone but Bronson having to provide continued care. I can give endless examples of those (negligent) events but I won't bore you. The latest nonsense for me personally involved having to choose between a lab test & my MRI. It's routine to check kidney function pre MRI; mine was checked 15 days prior to the MRI; they want it rechecked at my expense due to their 14 day rule...despite normal results in on 3 separate occasions this year, including 15 days from the MRI. I'm not paying for a normal lab test twice in 2 weeks. Insurance likely won't either if they're smart. Just another reason most of my medical care has been through U of M the last several years. read more
