I took the 4 day 3 night trip down from Wallowa (town) on the Wallowa river to the confluence where…read moreit becomes the Grande Ronde river (the rivers connect at the Minam store). A friend and I went by van ride up to the launch in Wallowa and went forward into the wilderness of the Blue mountains. This is geologically beautiful country with magical rock formations thronged by big horn sheep - we saw a group of 20 that entertained us across the river at camp. The fishing was fantastic. Half of the fish were around 14 inches up to right around 20 inches. These are highly capable broad-shouldered fish. Captain Grant, Captain Bobby, and First Mate Callen capably led our expedition. The well-trained and yet affectionate dogs put a cherry on top. Highly recommended. I effing love Oregon. They have a rail ride too.

This was a 3 day two night food and wine trip and Chad from Dusted Valley Winery made sure to keep our cups full and was very informative about his winery. I felt so relaxed and pampered and it was just what I was looking for. As for the food, it was fantastic! From scratch made s'mores and hors d'oeuvres to black cod and steak it was so delicious! Found the company through Groupon, and had a great time the first time so we came back with a group of five adults and five kids. Catfish was the guide both years for the "grown up's" raft, and Taylor was the guide for the kids. Our guides were great -- Catfish took us through the most exciting parts of the rapids, and was very knowledgeable about the river. Taylor was careful with the kids (didn't take them through the most hairy water) and was very nice, letting the kids take turns controlling the raft during calm spots. The water was a lot better in July than in June, and the half day trip took a little less than three hours. The rapids were fantastic -- some of the best we've encountered in Idaho. The guides had dry bags for our phones and keys, and coolers with drinks. We'll use H20 again and will try to book a whole-day trip next time. A great experience with great guides.

They were able to squeeze us in last min for a half day white water rafting trip. Everyone who works there was super friendly and went out of their way to introduce themselves to us. After a short ride on the "cool bus" and and a little safety talk, we were on our way. Our guide Chris was super cool and knowledgeable about the area. In between rapids and one liner dad jokes he told us about the different cliffs and other stuff on the river. Overall it was an amazing day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Four days after take-out from the Snake River, Idaho/Oregon, I am still smiling. Yes, the…read morewilderness of Hells Canyon and the river is stunning in its beauty, but this three-day trip was perfect in every way because of our top-notch tour guide, idahoafloat Dave (owner-operator) and his guides Austin and Sam are professional and knowledgeable - with safety, comfort, and enjoyment of their guests top priorities. The day before putting in, Dave stopped by the motel where we were staying to give us an orientation and give us waterproof bags to pack before morning. He showed up promptly the next day to take us to the dam to get started. Meanwhile, Kate back at the office was a key member of the team, reaching out to me to ensure my dietary restrictions were accommodated in the menus for the trip. Dave and his guides were on top of the river conditions, stopping to scout the more challenging rapids and smoothly navigating all of them. Coffee and breakfast was ready to go when we came out of our tents (and the coffee was better than I expected on a camping trip). Every meal was very good and balanced - Dave and team went out of their way to ensure our satisfaction. Near the end of our trip, a couple guests strayed away and the guides went on their way to make sure everything was ok. Despite a one-hour delay to take-out because of this, Dave and his team took it in stride with smiles. I highly recommend Dave and idahoafloat.com for your Snake River trip.
