We hired Three16 Photography to cover our pretty intense/hectic Indian wedding. Overall, I was happy with many of the photos and they were easy to work with; however, one must weigh pros on cons before deciding on a wedding photographer. Positives: 1) They are very friendly and nice to work with. We needed some specific photos delivered early for certain reasons and they were quick to send us those photos that we requested. 2) Photos of decor, family/group photos, and action shots of dancing etc were very nicely done. 3) Discounts were offered, and the company was good at helping us be within our budget. Also, they delivered the final product ahead of schedule. Took some stars off because: 1) The team arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled (they did make up for it by staying 30 minutes later). But this does not change the fact that we had to move on with our timeline, and they missed the first look as well as our chance to take some really good couples portraits. When they arrived, we had to rush through family photos and leave the area (because guests started coming in). 2) Attention to detail is lacking. I mean, noticing crooked accessories, telling us how to pose in detail, and taking a variety of shots. The couples portraits (of just the two of us) were not great compared to other wedding ones I have seen. Wish we had more direction on how to pose, where to put our arms, looking into the camera, looking away, etc. 3) When I received the wedding album, I asked where the cocktail hour photos were and I was told they don't normally cover that. I wish I knew this information before because I would have had them cover it. Luckily the videographer (another company) got good shots of it. The intention isn't to provide a negative review, I was at the end of the day happy with the pictures we did get. But wedding costs are so much that these are the things that set one vendor apart from another. Hope this helps future brides and grooms decide! read more

Trying to find a photo and video team was by far the hardest task for us, as we wanted a cohesive team that worked well together, and let's face it, a one-stop shop. It was very easy to chat with Jerrick with our initial phone call. He's professional but very personable -- I felt no pressure whatsoever, even including when we met in person. It was like chatting with a friend, talking about your wedding and the plans you have. The aesthetic we were looking for was timeless and romantic, a photojournalistic style, in that our future generations can look at and vividly see exactly what was going on, the people in the photos, the emotions of that time. By looking at their website and Instagram account, it was consistent with what we were looking for, regardless of the style of the wedding. Jerrick worked with us to personalize our package for photos and video as there were specific things that we either preferred to have or could live without, etc. He was also very organized when it came down to arranging our shot list, coordinating with the timeline, as well as execution on the day of. He and his team on the day of were efficient, professional and actually helped calm me down as some of the things I was anxious about (late VIPs and timeline lag, which I knew was inevitable) were happening...not much I can do about it at that time, so we just took more pictures as we waited, coz why not? Was very organized and professional - he even arrived like 10-15 minutes early and stayed a few minutes late to capture us cutting our cake. Our experience with Jerrick for our wedding and reception was a nightmare. His team is amazing and the photo quality is decent, but that's where it ends. Jerrick had a bad attitude. He was very rude to us, rude to my mom, and had a "his was or the highway" attitude. His customer service is poor and is arrogant. He does not exemplify things like attention to detail and did not notice things like crooked ties on the groom. The worst part is that he was blocking the the camera view during our documentary video which we paid quite a lot for. In the documentary video, we cannot see the bridesmaids walking down the aisle, and he even got in the way of the camera at points when the bride was walking down the aisle. I definitely do not recommend Jerrick. However, if given the opportunity, I would definitely hire the members of his team for photography or videography in the future, as long as I do not have to see or talk to Jerrick. read more

They worked with us through 2022 and helped us feel at ease through the planning process. We could tell that Jerrick's team is extremely professional and experienced! Jerrick and the guys were wonderful to work with! They were super cooperative and had a ton of suggestions for photos we were unsure about. They made a big effort to make sure they got shots that were important to us, using a list of "must-have" photos they had us fill out prior to our wedding. Jerrick was very considerate with our guests and family, asking if there were any guests who we really wanted to make sure we got photos and special moments with. He also made sure anyone who might not be able to stand too long for photos was taken into consideration. Typically, we are not super comfortable in front of the camera, but the crew made it a very relaxed environment, resulting in a lot of natural smiles and laughter in our photos. First of all let me start by saying how incredible my photos turned out. That is what everyone is looking for, right? I designed my wedding to be vibrant, nerdy, and fun. The photographers from Three16 took this to heart and documented everything so that I will be able to share with generations to come. Let's rewind now to our first meeting with Jerrick, the owner of Three16. He invited us to his office for a visit and was incredibly flexible with our work hours and traffic. He sat us down in his office and was very personable. He didn't just talk business but was truly interested in our story and who we were. Jerrick also had a several very helpful tips for the day of our wedding. You can tell he truly loves his work and is passionate about the wedding industry. From there he thoroughly explained all of our options. After leaving we felt confident that his team would do a fantastic job. In the time leading up to the wedding Jerrick made sure to stay in touch with us and always answered our questions in a timely manner. He also gave us some questionnaires to help guide his team on our big day to make sure they captured exactly what we wanted. We were sad that Jerrick himself would not be able to photograph our wedding and our tea ceremony but the team he sent was outstanding. They were enthusiastic even though the day of our wedding was incredibly hot. Our wedding planner at the Jones Victorian Estate in Orange has been doing weddings for years and was extremely impressed with their professionalism and work. She said she'd never met photographers who never said no to trying a picture. We asked them for funny shots and they gave us a bunch. They knew we were nerdy and so they even brought some D&D Dice to add to some of our layout photos with the date of our wedding. They did both formal shoots and candid shots. I didn't even know they were there during the ceremony or when they were taking the candid shots. After the wedding Jerrick told us it would take up to three months to get our photos. But after a little over a month they were ready! I know they can't always do this because they may be incredibly busy but it was amazing getting our photos so fast. Jerrick met with us again and presented our photos in such a fun way (I'll keep it a secret so others can appreciate the surprise). The only thing I am really sad about is that we now we don't get to meet with Jerrick (or his team) because they were all such awesome people. If you are looking for a photographer in the Orange County area I cannot recommend the Three16 Photography enough. read more

BUYER BEWARE: They make you sign a contract that doesn't guarantee ANYTHING to the client! - I saw them at the Pasadena Bridal Show and wanted to hire them for my wedding on 10/10/2020. Everything was fine until I saw the contract they wanted me to sign. It had several clauses that outlined fines that I, the client, would owe them for not abiding by their deadlines/requirements, but NOTHING in the contract guaranteed protection for the client! So, if the photographer is a no-show for ANY reason, if the photographer is 6 hours late, or if the photographer's equipment breaks and forces them to stop taking photos after only 10 minutes, they will keep ALL your money! I spoke to their photographer and asked if they could add a line that states that I'll be refunded if services are not rendered. He said he'll look into it and get back to me the next day. I never heard from him again! That was on 10/28/2019. Thank goodness my friend advised me to ask! They also couldn't answer questions on the types of video files they used and how the files would be formatted. I easily hired a different company that had no problem with these requests. read more

Our big day is over and all I have to say is: Jerrick is the real deal. He just sent us a sneak peek from our day and I am so satisfied. We provided a very precise and short shot list of family pictures we were sure we wanted for that day. And then we just let Jerrick use his eye to capture the rest. As in our engagement sessions, he had very useful and non-cringe inducing direction. At no point did I feel embarrassed or uncomfortable with myself, feelings I often have when a camera is around. Jerrick was amazing to work with. We had gone through a few photographers during our search for our wedding and couldn't find a personality that would fit with ours. When we met with him at his office, we felt very comfortable. He was so personable and easy to connect with. Jerrick was so fun and easy to work with. My wife and I met Jerrick and his team at a wedding convention and loved the quality and aesthetic of his photos. What we found about the wedding industry is that there are vendors that hassle you and continually bombard and pressure you, forcing their business on you but that was never, ever the case with Jerrick. You could tell that he truly loves his job and cares about the people he works with. We met with him at his office on two occasions: one to officially book him as our photographer and again right before the wedding to go over all of the final details and shots that we wanted at our wedding. We were continually in communication with him through email as well. He was very accessible and made sure that we were comfortable with everything that he was doing. He shot our engagement photos as well as our wedding. We also booked him to do our Photo Booth and video. He and his team were so great to have at our wedding. They were practically a part of the party since they were all so friendly and had great personalities. Our wedding party and families were able to be themselves around them and totally felt comfortable with him and his crew around us the entire day. To top it all off, our photos looked amazing! He posted a sneak peak of our photos on his blog two days after our wedding! We were able to share his blog to all of our family and friends pretty quickly. My wife and I loved our experience with Three16 Photography. Jerrick is so kind, and he does a great job at making you feel comfortable while taking photos.
