It just so happens that on that specific day they were doing a "fill a bag for $5" deal on clothing. They provide you with a plastic bag and now all you have to do is find things that make you happy. It was easy to find a lot of things I liked and things in my size. What can I say? I'm a lucky shorty. Oh but the fun doesn't stop there. Right across from the thrifty there's ANOTHER store. Score! It's located in the Hi Desert Plaza at the corner of Bear Valley Rd and Hesperia Rd. Parking is plentiful. It has a store plus donation center. I didn't walk into the store. I was dropping off a couple bags of old clothes and miscellaneous items. Upon opening the door, it was locked. Luckily, I knocked on the door and a really nice lady walked on over to open the doors. It wasn't closing time yet. I asked her why the doors were locked. She said they lock the doors when they go have lunch. It was around 5:00 PM so it must have been a very late lunch. Thank you Miss! It's a very small entry way with a couple bins in front. Just drop off and go. Please note NO DUMPING at any time. My visit was quick. Glad I have found another Goodwill to go-to in the high desert. They had racks and racks of clothing. On top of that, they had a decent selection of furniture. My buddy was looking for a couch and found a seven piece sectional for $250. It was actually in really good shape. I mean the couch was crushed green velvet, and looked like it belonged in a 70's porn star's pad, but it was solid and sturdy. Maybe not worth $250, but then on Fridays, and I think Saturdays, it might Thursdays and Friday's, everything in the store is 50% off. My buddy bought it and is going to hire somebody to reupholster it. So he's going to have the equivalent of a brand new seven piece sectional for less than 400. I'd go back, but I still prefer Goodwill for clothes. Seems better organized there.

I can seriously walk around there forever there are little treasures in every corner and every inch of the wall in there. I've found so many things but my most favorite is a mid century bookshelf that fits perfectly in my 70s style home. There wasn't a price tag listed on it yet and the lady up front was so nice and called the vendor and asked him how much it was for me right then and there. They are one of my favorite antique stores in the high desert, I always enjoy visiting.
