Heyyyyy
Tiffany D.

Thrifty!! Growing up in Cali this was a drug store with ice cream that eventually turned into Rite Aid. Anywho it took me back to my childhood. I got the chocolate chip with the double chocolate malted crunch. The chocolate chip was as I remembered it but the double chocolate malted crunch, had no crunch whatsoever. More like a jelly bean consistency. No bueno, I will be back on my next trip to Mexico but I won't be getting my childhood fav. All of the other flavors looked just as I remember.

Thrifty!

You can never go wrong with thrifty ice cream! It is the same everywhere you go. You will find your favorites. Clean, and great customer service m. In the summer of warm days there is a line but it goes by fast.

Awesome ice cream!!

Great place for ice cream with a very hospitable staff. They speak English well and are willing to help you make selections that you will be begging for seconds. Check them out if you are in the RP area!

I love going to Rocky Point and getting ice cream here. I am not sure why there are not any Thriftys here in the US. I know of a few places that sell the ice cream but no actual stores. I love their ice cream. It's very creamy and delicious. If you're ever in Mexico try it. It does not disappoint. My favorite is the strawberry. If you don't speak Spanish that isn't an issue there is always someone who speaks English there.

Gotta love crunch

It's warm, cozy, and inviting, with plenty of seating that makes it perfect whether you're dining as a couple or with a larger group like ours. The food completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Chilaquiles Peñasco with both the red and green sauces, and they were, without question, the best chilaquiles I've ever had. Every part of the dish was spot on--the steak was tender and flavorful, the eggs were cooked with perfectly runny yolks, the chilaquiles had just the right amount of crispness while still soaking up the sauces, and the beans on the side tied everything together perfectly. It was one of those meals where every bite just kept getting better. Our table also ordered the pancakes and the apple strudel, and both were incredible. The pancakes were light and delicious, while the apple strudel was topped with a sweet cream that added the perfect balance of sweetness and richness. It was an amazing way to finish breakfast. The service was every bit as impressive as the food. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, attentive, and so patient with our big, energetic group--including our five very hungry kids, who definitely had more appetite than patience that morning! She never made us feel rushed and handled everything with a smile. Between the amazing food, cozy atmosphere, and exceptional service, Kaffee Haus has earned a spot as one of my all-time favorite breakfast restaurants. It's the kind of place that makes you start planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. If you're in Rocky Point, this is an absolute must-visit.

We also tried the fresh squeezed orange juice which was excellent, and a mango banana smoothie that was pretty good. We each ordered the special, which came in two variations. I tried the avocado toast with smoked salmon, and my dining partners had the avocado toast with jamón serrano. They ranked the ham "10/10" and I was happy with my salmon as well, the portions were huge. We would certainly return when in Rocky point and looking for a yummy breakfast spot

Hubby & I had dinner here tonight. We wanted to try this place when we were here in Oct, but I…read morepicked Wednesday to try it & they are closed on Wednesday. We are so glad we got to try it. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

I have Carlos V shrimp, something new for me. Such generous portions, you'll leave her 10lbs heavier. Allegedly they have dessert but too full to try. This place is really small, so if there's a big party you're SOL. We never leave PP without eating here, we love it so much

The lights are dimmed and staff & the tables are dressed like a 5 star restaurant in the states. Hubby got a margarita and I got Tito's & cranberry juice. Both were good. Hubby got the chicken parmigiana. It was good. It came with a soup or salad & bread. Had had been wanting shrimp tacos. They were not on the menu, but they made them for me. I added cheese, sour cream & pico. They came with rice & beans. They were excellent! The best meal I ever had. I got the soup. It was a potato & cheese soup. Very good. The Chef Mickey cane out & check on every table & chatted with us all. We will definitely be back next year when we are on vacation! I don't have a picture of hubby's meal because I gave him my phone to take the picture. He's not allowed to take pictures anymore, lol.

When Mickey came by to clear our plates, I jokingly told him it was awful -- which is why I used the bread to scrape up every last bite. He didn't appreciate my humor quite as much as I did, but that was only the beginning. Next came the grouper stuffed with blue crab... wow. Perfectly golden crust on the outside with flaky, creamy, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness inside. The explosion of flavors is hard to even put into words. Hands down the best restaurant in Rocky Point -- even if Mickey didn't laugh at my jokes. And as a bonus, they offer secure parking with security watching your car while you enjoy dinner.
