Dined-7/10/25: Came for breakfast and had the place to ourselves. A local non-frills mom & pop w/ a good variety from traditional Mexican dishes & some American breakfast. Servers were friendly & attentive. Food was made to order, came out hot & super fresh. Can't beat the homemade tortillas. I had the breakfast burrito which was filling I only ate half. Friend had the breakfast skillet which was piping hot. The pancake was buttermilk & very tasty. Only thing was, I didn't see a bathroom but once outside, I noticed there were stairs to go upstairs where they do karaoke. Maybe the bathroom is up there. They accept cash & cards. This was our (two of us) first time trying this restaurant, and I'd go back for the Coconut Shrimp alone. We were there on a Sunday around 6 pm and had the restaurant to ourselves. Our service was excellent: timely and efficient. Our meal consisted of Guacamole with Chips to start, Coconut Shrimp and 3-Flags Enchiladas with two glasses of Red Wine (sorry, no varietal description). The chef/cook must have prepared all the courses on-site because everything was prepared and cooked perfectly, and the plates reflected the expertise. $39 for the meal before the tip. As mentioned in a prior post, the restaurant is on Calle 13 across the the Hotel Señorial. After having driven past this block at least a hundred times, I'm amazed we just now tried this restaurant. Saw some good reviews so I thought I give it a try. Well nice small friendly restaurant. But I found most of the food to be very blend. Ordered guacamole and chips to start.. For some reason that pale looking guac was so yummy...i think that was best item they had on the menu.. Ordered menudo which wasn't bad. Had lot better ones back home.. Also ordered the campechana. I was most disappointed with this one. I like my cocktail to be on the chilly side. The clamato was very faint flavored, could have used more citrus in it. I don't ever add salt to my dish but added some to this one Chorizo and eggs were OK... Chilaquiles was not bad.. Nice little kick. Surprisingly pasta Alfredo was pretty good. With all the places to go eat I probably won't be coming back here.. 2 horchata and 2 Jamaica drinks total bill $59. Pretty good price for all the food we ordered. read more

A popular dinner spot that appears to attract both tourists and some locals. Want a big, American burger? They do those. Need a plate of crispy tacos? They do those even better. The staff speaks such good English I wondered if they're all actually Americans. Our server was funny, and kept trying to get my date and I to join in on karaoke night. And while we didn't oblige, we did have a nice dinner where we could sit on the second floor and overlook the chaos of the street below on a busy Saturday night. All I gotta say is the Margaritas had me like... This is a great place to eat and get some drinks! The owner Gloria is super sweet and speaks English as well. I came to Puerto Peñasco for vacation and I can say this restaurant is very clean, organized, and I would especially recommend it for vacationers. This place just ain't it. Wife and I came here for dinner on a Wednesday at a little after 7. A lot of the places we wanted to go are closed today, so we settled here. Anyway, our waitress was super sweet. We ordered lemonades, I got a burger and wife ordered shrimp fajitas. The lemonades were really good actually! After waiting close to an hour my burger came out and it looked good! Fries were cold but I didn't care because I was so hungry. And then my wife's fajitas came and oh my Lord they looked pathetic. We didn't take a picture because her food was so cold she promptly sent it back. My burger was really good actually! And hot!! Before she sent her food back to be reheated I could tell the shrimp were over cooked and the fajita veggies looked unseasoned and undercooked. After she sent it back? The plate was steaming, her food was hot, but it just wasn't good. We finished our meals and paid the tab. I'd get my burger again but tbh it's not good enough to wait an hour. read more

Alvaro served us. While some think he has a grumpy face (yea customers told him that) we found him to be very nice and he engaged us in conversation. The Molcahete Magueyales will change your life. You could probably put small rocks and loose change in that sauce and they would be delicious. But I'm getting ahead of myself. We pulled in to Los Magueyales' small back parking after intending to go to Pollo Lucas, a long time favorite, and finding it closed. Heber, who turns out to be a manager, came out and let us know that, yes, they were open. (He saw a group of gringos in a SUV and it was probably clear that we weren't locals.) He invited us in and got us seated. Yes, get the Molcahete. Strangely, get the flour tortillas, too. I know that basically labels you as a guero, but they are chewy perfection in four. The caramelized cheese in the bottom of the bowl made it into my list of transcendent food. The beef was good, the chicken spectacular, and the shrimp were the ambrosia sponges that the Lord made them to be. Thank you Heber and Johana. The food was "just ok". Nothing horrible but nothing to rave about and that made it overpriced in my opinion.

We were walking down the street looking for a great place to have breakfast, and got pulled in to this place by someone making commission to fill the place up. He did a great job, because it filled up before our eyes. The man who pulled us in wasn't joking when he said this was the best homemade breakfast we would find! Wow!! It's like a Mexican grandma cooked all of this for us! Chiliquelas were fantastic, and came with papas, and beans and eggs. I was full until dinnertime! Thinly sliced potatoes, excellent, spicy salsa, beans like my husbands grandma would make, and fresh, homemade tortillas. I would love to back the next time I'm there for lunch or dinner! read more

Our Airbnb was on Calle 13 and we walked by this place often and were handed a flyer. Brother-in-law grabbed ordered a burger & fries one night and recommended it . So when I travel, I look for 4+ review with many reviewers. When we walked into Los Mag, I was a little trepidation, not busy. Our friend said upstairs please, cooler he said. It was. We found karaoke going on. The stopped it enough to take our order. The locals or those in attendance were amazing singers. We enjoyed the music. The salsa was a bit watery, but oooh, spicy enough for most of us, we like our heat, so yummy. Food was well worth it. Mole, husband said on spot, others had enchiladas and enjoyed. I had chicken sopas which everyone tried & said were great. Margaritas were the usual, others had beer. Love the food 5 stars, karaoke 4.5 was great, but could have been turned down a bit. The chips were literally hard as a rock, the pork verde was gamey and old tasting, rice was cold, beans were cold and appeared out of a can. Margaritas were all over the place. First drink was straight lime, then the second one (Same Drink) was so sweet it couldn't drank. Sorry, but this place is not worth the time or money. We've had good food in Rocky Point, but do not be fooled this isn't your place.
