Moving on to their facility... it is so clean and calming. It's definitely easy to relax in this environment. When I checked in for my appointment, I was taken on a tour of the facility... they offer so many services!! I got a hot stone massage and then I had a float session. This massage was one of the best massages I've had in my entire life... and I get massages A LOT. It felt so good and was so relaxing! And then this was my first time doing a float session, and I felt so relaxed after it! Just to walk everyone through the process... -You have your own room with either a pod or cabin. You can choose which one you want. The pod is smaller than the cabin, and that's the only way they differ. -You put earplugs in, fully shower (NO CONDITIONER), and put petroleum jelly on any little scrapes to protect from the salt. -Music will start to play to let you know your session is starting. You step into your pod or cabin, lay down, and float. And trust me, you will float!!! There is so much salt in there. -You are encouraged to turn the lights off, but if you don't want to... you can leave them on. The door can open at any time... you are never "trapped" in there. If you need immediate assistance, there is a panic button to push for help. -Music will start to play again for 5 minutes when your session is over. -You will then completely shower off again (you can use conditioner now) and then you're done! 100% would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!! Apparently, the night before our floats, the owner changed the days & hours of operation for the last couple of weeks they will be open. Supposedly, they posted this on "social media" and sent e-mails, but I never received an e-mail or was notified of this by any means. In fact, their scheduler system had me confirm the appointments the day before. I had the day off, but my other half used a vacation day, and we drove an hour and a half to Houston just to sit outside a locked facility. There was no sign on the door or anything stating the changes, and their website, at the time of writing this review, doesn't show the changes or mention closing, either. We left 2 voicemails and finally got on the website on our phone to use the Contact Us form (I put my phone # in the message since my computer was at home and I don't get email on my phone). They answered me via e-mail, which I did not see until we got home, but no one ever bothered to call us. The end result was a refund of what went on my credit card, but nothing else. It is about 30-35 min from my house, but coming midday wasn't bad. The parking however in Vintage Park is challenging, especially for accessible parking. I did finally find a spot across from Huemn. I was promptly greeted by Johnnie. He was patient and explained the numerous options available, and provided great recommendations that would be appropriate for me. I was able to experience a 30 min PEMF session (like a tens unit on steroids via a magnetic pulse). Let me tell you! The tension and pain in my neck and left hip were gone!!! I even went to sleep! I left my appointment without pain and with more energy. I'm very happy with the results. I sit at a desk at all day for work and then go to school and sit at another desk. I strength training, play tennis, do yoga and do a bunch of spin classes on my Peloton. Needless to say all that puts a toll on your body. I left the Athletic both today and yesterday feeling like I could run a marathon and all the knots in my upper body were gone!
