You never know how you discover your hidden talent or passion. When I saw this Elite event pop up…read morein Elite Squad, my first impression was, "Oh, no, this is so not me!" But after a few seconds later, I was like, "But what if I like it?" That tiny amount of curiosity pushed me to sign up while I was still hoping that I would not get in (LOL!!) While I was driving to get to the place, I was still nervous. Doubting myself heavily, I reluctantly dragged myself into the studio. AND THE REST IS HISTORY! Did I like it? No, I LOVED it! I had never thought kickboxing was this satisfying! Yeah, I used to work out at the gym having a personal trainer and all that but ever since I quit it, my middle-aged body had been rotting in my hell-like home office chair for my day job. I guess I was looking for a way to get out of the unhealthy lifestyle I had kept for years so today's session at Kickhouse became my wake-up call that I had waited for so many years. The instructors, Casey (hopefully I spelled it correctly) and Mike (I believe) were so engaging (you guys were awesome!!) And they weren't intimidating; they uplifted us mentally (not just physically.) Their contagious energy got us going and the 45-minute session flew by like the Japanese bullet train! I wish the session was a bit longer was the only complaint I could think of (well, I'm not really complaining!) I know I will be sore tomorrow. But it will be a joyful sore. A BIG "THANK YOU" to Yelp for organizing this wonderful event tonight!! Being part of this Yelp community is not all about food; it's about being physical as well! I'm totally sold for kickboxing; I'm HOOKED!!

I found them on Facebook. It was a challenge posting. I've been trying to figure out how to get…read moremyself back to the gym as I've never really been a "gym" person. I feel awkward, self-conscience and overall lost in a gym. I've tried the classes and being uncoordinated they proved to be even better at embarrassing myself in. I decided to give this a shot. As scared out of my mind as I was of all the above things, I walked through the door ready to listen. I sat down with Casey and had a talk about me, what I wanted and needed...that let someone in kind of talk. After some thought I decided to take the leap and give it a chance. I started with a class the next day. I felt like the new kid on the first day of school. I sat in the parking lot for a while before building the courage to actually walk through the door. One of those..the first step is actually showing up moments. I was excitedly greeted by Casey and because it was my first session one of the other coaches (Mike ) was my personal instructor for the day. Nope..no separate room..he just hung in my orbit after showing me how to stand and make contact as to not injure myself. He would come back and give me a few tips and form corrections as needed as well. I am proud to say by the end of the 45 mins I was still standing. Nope I can't do everything that the others can do but with few modifications and encouragement I will get there in time. Pros for me: I don't feel like the eyes of the world are watching me. No one is waiting around and glaring at me to get off a machine because I'm holding them up. No weird locker room experiences. Pros+ I've started to meet some new people who actually seem glad to see me. I don't feel awkward as beginner as I am with things. I've taken a big step in building my own strength. I'm started to feel a bit more coordinated. I got a cool new pair of boxing gloves. Check them out, you may discover something that scared you...you actually enjoy

I discovered this business on Groupon a few years ago and I'm glad I was introduced. This is the…read moreperfect place for people who prefer fitness classes over fitness / gym equipment and the punch card system or drop-in system over making monthly gym membership payments to a gym that you may not even get to some months. The owner Andrea and instructors are very fun and motivating. They make sure to take / post pictures after every successful sweaty class. They offer unique "outside the box" type of classes that I had never heard of before until I became a patron of Live Healthy 24. There is Pound which is a workout resembling what is performed on drums using sticks! I didn't know there was a non dancing Zumba called Zumba strong. I didn't know there was a workout called Piloxing which I haven't done but understand is a combination of boxing and pilates. I didn't know other dance workouts besides Zumba and Jazzercise existed until discovering Shine and Rebel Groove through Live Healthy 24. The owner and instructors also run a Facebook community group so patrons can inspire and motivate each other by participating in challenges, sharing recipes, fitness tips, nutrition types, etc. There is no monthly membership and you can't beat the prices for classes whether it's drop-in or punch card. There is no expiration for the punch card as well which is nice. If I had to offer just one small suggestion for improvement, I remember attending a yoga class and not having the full "zoned out" or "zen" experience I seek from Yoga due to members arriving for the next class scheduled immediately after Yoga and currently there's not really a waiting room set up. But the overall experience makes up for this minor setback in many ways.

Not sure what's with all the negative reviews because this gym is where its at! I'm not someone who…read moreis a gym-rat or fitness enthusiast by any means so working out at a beautiful gym like Lifetime definitely is a motivator. The gym is fully equipped and has plenty of machines so you will never be disappointed in that regards. The gym is spotless clean, towel service is great, has well-kept pools, and multiple hot tubs/saunas/steam rooms. Not to mention, a variety of fitness classes from yoga to Zumba to strength training, and delicious smoothies available in the Life Cafe on your way out. The rock wall is also a pretty cool amenity and pickle ball/racquetball/basketball courts are also available. Its not the cheapest gym on the block, but what's that saying? "You get what you pay for"...you really do get your money's worth at Lifetime. I literally no complaints about this gym and I 100% would recommend.

I love this gym but everything is always broken... Today I…read moregot on my first treadmill and it was unplugged, easy fix? Sure. Before plugging it in I move to another and the screen wasn't working. Okay moving on through my workout 1st stationary bike, screen broken. Moved to gym floor & started the circuit machines - only 1 of 6 not working today. Better than usual I suppose. Workout completed One of my favorite things about this gym is the recover area, so I went to do the leg compression. 1st set (size small) air leak in zone 1. Next set (size small) air leak zone 1. Sitting in 3rd chair down, decide I'll just stick with this set and skip zone one but the chair is broken and won't lean back at all. Decide if I am going to switch chairs at this point I should grab another set but then I was informed the other two sets left out all had leaks too. So I do my 10 minutes with leaks and sitting up straight. Swing by the front desk because I've been a member for over a year and this is pretty much a regular visit here. Once during a GTX class the front plate of the treadmill just fell off while the girl next to me was on it. All we could do was laugh Hate to complain but decide it's time to say something although I've heard from other members it won't change anything... I give it a shot. I report all the items while my husband orders us two protein shakes (about $21) and she said I can file a concern on the app or she can relay the message Monday. I have no intention of figuring out how to report each thing on the app, I honestly don't care that much because we can always switch gyms but I thought I'd give a heads up to anyone considering joining. I do love lots of things about this gym but it's not seeming to be worth the price tag currently. Some pros include the private sauna's in each bathroom and their additional coed saunas by the pool. The pool area in general is awesome, the kids love the slide and the snack bar (not outrageous but priced like you are at a beach club) They do have an adequate amount of equipment, so even with a bunch of broken things I can usually find enough other things to do to complete my workout. Large parking lot and great location.
