And it's been true for 15 years. Luckily they are around H-Town and my last visit I was staying relatively klose to the Westheimer location. Gotta admit that it is a beautiful and spacious location with outdoor dining and a playscape for the kids. Inside is an open dining concept that still allows patrons to have private conversations. The staff is super friendly and attentive and even the manager comes by asking about the service and food. Speaking of... I ordered a cup of chili, a Reuben and my favorite, the Yankee pot roast. Of course, not all of it for me as I had a friend with me. Chili was spot-on Texas style and not too spicy. The Reuben was delicious and the right amount of portions with the corned beef, sauerkraut and Russian dressing. The rye bread was moist so the hard edges didn't tear up the upper part of my mouth. But the Yankee pot roast sandwich was heavenly. First bite brought me back 30 years ago when I first had it. So happy that the recipe is still the same where every bite brings comfort and satisfaction. I hope they eventually make it back to Austin. We need a good deli with exceptional sandwiches and other tasty food. And I'll always remember Marc Katz proclaiming on TV, "Katz Never Kloses!!"

Only because of my toastmasters friends showed up here and then ah... I was pleasantly surprised. Very cool restaurant. It's a perfect location for a 24-hour restaurant - Never Kloses. I came here early May after a long day of events in the Galleria area and I was starving. First thing came to my mind was get something at Katz. My friend ordered a passion fruit lemonade which came out tasting artificial and no lemonade flavor and a 2-sauce pasta, which he liked. I ordered Skinny Pastrami Sandwich, which they are famous for. My late husband's favorite. I remember when we tried it years ago at the other location. I don't have the same desire after trying it. I think I'll order something else next time. Parking is not bad after midnight. But for sure don't hit the rush hours as the bars closes or dinner or lunch rush. I came in at the right time. Yeah friendlier service wins me back.

There is a decent parking lot which had ample spots when we arrived around 9:45 am but it did get crowded by the time we left around 11 am. I liked the front entrance which had outdoor seating but it was too warm for us so we opted to sit indoors. There were a decent amount of customers already and we didn't have to wait for a table. Our server was welcoming and offered recs when asked. We ordered the chicken & waffles, kids pancakes with mashed potatoes, kids French toast with strawberries, and klassic breakfast plate with two scrambled eggs, jalapeño cheddar sausage & pancake substitute. All of us really enjoyed our meals! The pancakes were perfectly warm and fluffy as I remembered. It was my kids' first time ever trying Katz's & they ate almost all of their food except for a few slices of French toast. My daughter especially enjoyed her mashed potatoes which did not have gravy. My husband said the chicken & waffles were overall crispy and good quality. They even offered free mimosas to moms that day but I had to decline. It was a kind gesture! The employee provided great service and the table was quickly cleared towards the end too. I also liked how the manager came by at the end to check on us & there's a comment card you can fill out about your experience. I always thought it was cool that they are 24 hours! Overall we had a good breakfast and will definitely return again as a family!

They sent me 13 pages of forms to fill out, some of which were clearly meant for the doctor, not the patient, to complete. Some I was asked to sign for things that I wouldn't know about until after the appointment, such as agreeing to a treatment plan. Well, I have ADHD, and completing things like this is exactly what I can't do and need help for. They cancelled my appointment. It took me a couple of weeks, but I filled in the 13 pages of forms as best I could, scanned them all, and emailed them. Then they called me and left a message stating that the original appointment was cancelled (like I didn't know that - it was weeks ago) and that they could see me next week and for me to call back. I called back and their phone tree told me to leave a message and that they preferred for me to use the online form to request appointments. I went and filled out THAT form. The EMAILED me back telling me to call the number I already called. This time, ignoring the phone tree, I was able to get in touch with a real person. She said, "Hold a second" and then hung up on me. There are no words to express how frustrated and angry I am. I see now that there are many poor reviews for this office. People who ask for help should not be subjected to this kind of treatment. It is unconscionable.
